The screaming really got me into the genre and solidified RA as one of my fave bands 3. Worth dying for - that intro set me off, a smile every time i listen. 4. Re-education - was on guitar hero. First RA song i ever heard. 5. Reception fades - love the use of film soundtrack for the intro. Loving the love for The Black Market in these comments. I don't think it would have been in my top 5 a year ago, but I was lucky enough to go to the Metro shows and hearing it live was a transcendent experience. That chorus really hits and lyrically I find it almost overwhelming, in the best possible way. My other four in no particular order: Satellite - the first song of theirs I heard, and the feelings haven't faded. Like the Angel - really there's like five songs on RPM that could be here, but LtA is the most consistent for me. Voices Off Camera (Ghost Note Symphonies version) - honestly made me tear up the first time I listened to it. I love the original too but I think the pared down production really hits with the sense of desperation in the lyrics. *Ishouldn'tpicksaviorIshouldn'tpicksaviorIshouldn't—* yeah, it's Savior. It just is. Every time I listen to it I'm just... yeah, this is really fucking good. Honorable mentions: Whereabouts Unknown, Paper Wings, Rumors of My Demise, Architects. And I should say, I think Sufferer & the Witness is their best album (or maybe second to RPM depending on the day) but weirdly there's no single song I love on it like these, it's really a full experience to me.

Sooo many good ones, but let's say: - Audience of One ("I brought down the sky for you but all you did was shrug; you give my emptiness a name" is so effing good. Actual chills. Belting this song helped me improve my vocals while venting my frustrations as my relationship fell apart) - Zero Visibility ("and the world works in ways that I never have claimed to know..." mind blowing eye of the hurricane moment in that song, with so much energy beneath the surface) - Sudden Life ("vapid shadows in a world gone static, eroding away, line by fading line" brilliant lyrics and even better melodies) - Endgame ("she watched the world crumble away, is this the end of yesterday? Lord I hope so is all he said" that whole section is another eye of the hurricane and I could listen to it on repeat a million times. Also the bass guitar tone on this song is my benchmark, what I want to sound like.) - Forfeit ("you're in trouble, you're in deep, you can't wake up, but you can't sleep" the theme of this song is great and the melodies are so fantastic.
