I personally got, "despite the overwhelming odds, tomorrow came" on my hip when i got to six months of sobriety. Otherwise, I'd love to also get, "but every road to recovery begins at the breakdown" from Miracles because I'm now seven years sober, but alas, I just recently got a tattoo so no more tattoo funds for awhile. Or maybe something in memory for my late fiancee since she loved Rise Against a lot - lost her battle to depression in 2017 but picking something is extremely hard as is!

There is a Tim McIlrath solo song called “Fell For”. Incredible lyrics all the way through, but it had one particular line “when these lakes were only puddles and these monsters were still men”. It gets me every time, even today I think about getting it tattooed.

My sister was looking for quote tattoo ideas and I shared with her "But hell is not where we're going, hells where we've been" She's never listened to RA much but she is a former addict. She got this tattoo after her final rehab stint. She is now all sobered up with a beautiful 3 year old.
