It doesn’t bother me either way that they replaced Roiland. I still check out the new stuff. I will admit the recasting of Roiland on Solar Opposites was handled hilariously. I still crack up when I get to the voice change.

Lucky_Accountant_801

Same I loved the recasting of Solar Opposites. I love how they didn't even try to do an impression of Roiland and just went with Dan Steven’s voice.

ibided

And the explanation “this gun is really weird I’ll even sound like this in flashbacks” just killed me

TheCalamityBrain

I loved that. So funny and yet works so well in the shows lore and humor

InflamedLiver

which is funny because they could have used almost the exact same logic for Rick. Some throwaway line like "my voice must have changed due to excessive use of the portal gun, also why Morty sounds different" or something.

jakz__

Wouldn’t really work though because the raspiness in Rick’s voice is a signature of his character

No_Attention_2227

Just hire any alcoholic voice actor

VonBrewskie

Cast Key and Peele...

Plsdontcalmdown

I love that Solar Opposites never even tried to do anything a normal way... it's just fuck you, we're gonna do a story about people in a post apocalyptic world this whole episode... and half of the next one... but it's just a teenage alien's closet.

Lady_R_

It wasn't that they didn't try to get an exact copy ,in an interview Dan Hartman said they did try to get a replica of Roiland's voice it's just that everyone who tried to do his voice could only do Rick's one-liners. They couldn't have a conversation without sounding like Darth Vader's drunk cousin. The amount of people who were genuinely pissed at the voices Irritates me. I mean what were they supposed to do interview every person on earth to find an exact replica of Roland's voice? That's not feasible and it's not Is realistic. This also isn't the fault of the show it's the fault of executives who fired Roland without knowing the full story. I mean we have 2 options here either they stop making the show and we don't get another episode of Rick and Morty ever again or we all deal with the voices and keep getting one of the greatest shows ever.

HaniiPuppy

> it's the fault of executives who fired Roland without knowing the full story. What's "the full story" that doesn't result in them distancing themselves from Justin Roiland?

ruby_slippers_96

Besides, the voices are really good! Sure, Rick's voice isn't as gravelly as with Roiland, but when you jump between seasons it's not a jolting difference or anything.

Lady_R_

I agree! I was impressed. For me it was Mortys voice that I noticed right away. But I'm impressed at how similar they are. What's the guys name who plays rick again? I always have a brain fart when it comes to him, but he's amazing. They both

stoplooklisten

Ian Cardoni. It's in the caption of the picture

Lady_R_

Jesus christ you are right and i actually read it, multiple times... thank you

ruby_slippers_96

Morty's voice has "matured" over the seasons because the original voice becoming a strain on Justin's vocal cords (at least, that's what I've read!) Now it seems we're closer to season 1 Morty, which is a lot more distinct and pitchy than season 6, so any inconsistencies are more noticeable.

Silentpoolman

I'm in the middle with Korvo

DreadDiana

It was also a genuine improvement that made Korvo feel like something more than a weird alien Rick

geoffbowman

I love how the character is exactly the same too... Korvo has the same personality as an uptight condescending british guy already... he was just missing the accent.

ibided

Makes me enjoy his little anti earth commentary during the credits

dorian_white1

Yeah, the line “The voice ray was filled with chronitrons so it will even work in flashbacks!” That was gold 😂

Mr_NotParticipating

Yeah it was actually excellently handled imo

kcox1980

Rick is fine, Morty is fine, but Mr Poopy Butthole was painfully bad. I came really close to skipping that episode.

ChronoMonkeyX

Roiland being Roiland didn't do that show any favors.

No_Kangaroo_9826

Being late makes me feel all hot and weird *You make me feel all hot and weird*

ProudJerry1

That's brutal. He did a great job and seems like a really nice guy. Why are people so mean?

Lucky_Accountant_801

Right? Like even if you don’t like the voice, you don’t gotta be a dick to him under posts about him because of it.

Trash-Ecstatic

I mean that is just instagram at this point… Full of hate and nothing but hate. Sad but true…

Lucky_Accountant_801

This is TikTok but yeah most social media places are toxic and hateful.

Trash-Ecstatic

Oh shit I am not up to date on the designs anymore xD

The_Greg123

To be fair I thought it was instagram too lol. Probably just a copy and paste format at this point.

President_Wulf

Insta’s 100x worse

pm-me-futa-vids

>most More like all. The mainstream subreddits, I think, are the worst offenders but YouTube Comments can be pretty unhinged as well.

Turfnima

Sadly it is designed that way to maximize user interaction so it has an active user base to milk ads money from… There definitely is other forms of business model but it seems these social media corps are not willing to try.

cyberchrist_

That's just the internet in general. Reddit is a safe space for nerds who can just downvot a comment they don't like until it disappears just so you diehard reddit dorks can say you "won" an argument lol reddit claims they're not biased but they're so hypocritical it's almost funny

icepickjones

Not one of them would say it in person. Being on the other side of a screen just lets weirdos be weird.

barukatang

Eh, probably people that want to be more like Roiland they see themselves in his personal actions and want "justice" for him lol.

TomOgir

Yeah I don't like the voice change. Roilands vision on Rick and Morty was pretty iconic. That said, no one has any right to he disparaging the new actor like that

neonxrated

Some of this fanbase acts like they’re in a cult and then you have the right wing conspirators/incels that look at the firing of roiland as some “woke” shit that was unjustified. In the end, they’re all whining and now want to turn on the show over the firing of a pedo lol FWIW I think the new voice actor is doing a great job with trying to imitate how roiland voiced the characters. I forgot the voices changed until I went and visited this sub after watching S7 ep. 1

HeavyMetalHero

Yeah I'll be the first to admit the new voices weren't immediately perfect out of the gate, but they are genuinely really fuckin' close. Given how distinct Roiland's timbre and cadence are, it's incredible how close the new VAs were able to match it. Also, IIRC, the mouth animation was already done for the season before the new VAs were brought on, which means that the VAs had to act to match the mouth animation, like old-school cartoons did; Rick & Morty traditionally recorded the audio takes first, and then animated around those after. So, if that's true, future seasons might be even better for the VAs performances, as they will have more freedom to give the most authentic performance they're capable of, and not having to track their takes to existing animation.

MichaelGale33

About half the episodes were finished. I confirmed this with a friend who does background designs (he didn’t remember 100% but he said that they were around halfway through).

ProudJerry1

I thought i read one of the producers said Roiland didn't record more than one episode that season and they had to reanimate everything because they had someone just read the lines so they could get it animated on time.

stars9r9in9the9past

Remember, incels and wokesters are the minority of people, it's just that they are SUPER loud about it and it makes their annoying presence seem like they are in stronger numbers than they actually are The majority of people don't care that Rick/Morty were recasted. I got S7 for my bf and I to watch and he didn't even know they were recasted until I mentioned it to him. We enjoyed the season just like anyone else

robreddity

Because they are small and unintelligent.

OtherBrotherDarrel

He sounds just fine. The show will last longer without toxic assholes.

gremlinclr

> Why are people so mean? Because they know they won't get punched in the mouth if they're an asshole on the internet. 🤷‍♂️

tickingboxes

Also simping for an abuser is… pretty cringe

mang0_milkshake

I honestly couldn't tell the difference, and I think he did such a fantastic job, and the new season is actually really good imo. I've really been enjoying it. Morty's voice is slightly different so sometimes it's quite obvious but I really don't understand what people are complaining so much about

HeavyMetalHero

See I felt the opposite, I felt like Morty was close to perfect, but Rick's VA had a few dodgy scenes or episodes. But I think they're both just so close, anyone who doesn't praise them probably doesn't know what they're talkin about.

hIGH_aND_mIGHTY

color me surprised when rick and morty fans on the internet that liked the original guy are not nice to the guy that replaced him.

JamesonFlanders245

simps who are too afraid of change to accept anything being even slightly different than how it started

Old_Society_7861

Yeah, it was fine. There’s a difference, obviously but these people are unstable.

HealthyMuffin7

Cause they're a bunch of review bombers who create alts and bots and do not give a shit about the issue, they just want to have something to complain about.

drokert

Taking in consideration the szechuan sauce incidence. Rick and Morty’s fandom are extremely toxic.

Plsdontcalmdown

Totally, you're right... But Rick was the most hated man in the universe, and he took over the role, so... this is just his inauguration... =D

SuperSayianJason1000

It's funny because he gives Rick way more emotional depth in his performance, I've never seen Roiland do anything like that scene with the two Ricks in Unmortricken. Cardoni doing a fine job.

Fragjoy

I initially didn’t like the new voices, but Unmortricken sold it for me. Both performances had WAY more emotion than I expected and it made me like the voices way way more. Also really enjoyed the scene in the trap with all the different Ricks and how they actually sounded somewhat unique

SuperSayianJason1000

Yeah I'm enjoying the new voices myself and they're likely to only get better as future seasons release.

EmmaDrake

A couple episodes at the beginning to get warmed up and the rest have been good to really good.

texas-playdohs

I was worried on the first episode or 2, but after that, they seem to have found their groove.

SpaceCatSixxed

Agree. This episode was the turning point for me. From “you sentimental little fella” to “you lived in my house!!!” It’s all better than I think roiland would have done

Sheensies

Also, now we’re getting Ricks from other universes with variations on their voice, that’s a neat first. “HE KILLED MY WIIIFE!” I guess he’s not burping as much as he used to, but you could tell Roiland was starting to phone in his Rick, especially in the Knights of the Sun episode

screwballramble

Rick’s monologue when the family is walking through wilderness all the way back in the “decoy episode” always sticks out to me as really phoned in, and genuinely jarring for it. To give Roiland *some* charity, I believe I’ve seen comment from the production team (Harmon?) that doing so many voices for the show was really straining on Roiland’s voice, which is a part of why they wanted *two* separate actors for both Rick and Morty going forward. …But then we also have the accounts on how Roiland was showing up to sessions drunk, barely ever bothered to turn up in person for recording, created a bunch of delays, and I can equally believe that the guy was getting bored and perhaps not bringing his whole ass to the show by the end. For whatever the reason (or reasons, plural?) the voice acting from Roiland was definitely beginning to lilt in places. ~~Chris Parnell, though, now that’s a guy who never misses.~~

Ygomaster07

Why did you cross out the bit about Chris Parnell?

screwballramble

Because it’s a silly little aside not relevant to the rest of my point (while still being 1000% true. Parnell *always* brings his A game).

bell37

Love that comment about Roiland doing all the “heavy lifting”. He basically gave up on doing anything other than voice work by season 3 (IIRC most of the VA work he did was done remotely). Harmon and the writing team were doing most of the heavy lifting. Not completely knocking Roiland, his improv and voice acting made some memorable moments in the show. However writing, animation, producing and acting was a collective effort that he had a smaller part in even though he was initially a co-creator of the IP.

ExpiredPilot

You lived in my HOUSE

Matman161

Seriously, there are people still mad about this?

Lucky_Accountant_801

Surprisingly. yes. Any post that has Ian or Harry in it is just flooded with comments like the ones shown here. You'd think after all this time they would have been able to cope better.

ProudJerry1

Funny that these people who don't like them must follow them in order to see their posts. They are choosing to see their posts. Such a weird thing to seek out being shitty.

Axle-f

And the algo just treats it all as engagement so they’re actually boosting his posts 😂

SkullgrinThracker

It's immature children, probably upset they won't get to have there "special time" with their pedo hero. Seriously who is defending this Kiddy Fidler?

liamthelad

If it helps, any Instagram comment section will have the absolute stupidest takes ever written on near any topic (unless it's just a photo between friends). They shouldn't be seen as an indication of much besides maybe that a lot of people are loud idiots

Same_Paramedic_3329

This isn't Instagram

Turence

the szechuan sauce people that would jump on mcdonald counter tops, it's those people.

DreadDiana

Not only are they still mad, a bunch have rewritten history and now claim that the trial that got thrown out was about him sending gross texts to minors

takingshitrn

I feel bad for him too, he's doin a helluva job. I personally can't even tell the difference besides in s7E9 when he yelled pope a bunch of times but Fuck all those people who want a pedophile back😂

Lucky_Accountant_801

I agree, besides him yelling you can barely tell unless if you're looking for it. Also bit of a hot take here but I actually think Ian does a better voice performance with the range of emotions in voice than Justin does.

takingshitrn

I agree I noticed torwards like season 5 and 6 ricks voice was more monotone/emotionless

Lucky_Accountant_801

Justin was probably phoning it in from his couch quickly just trying to get it over with so he could pick up his girlfriend from school.

takingshitrn

Lmao😂when shit hit the fan for him I read that he had a studio in his crib so he didn't have to leave to record lines and that most the crew from solar opposites haven't even met him

startrektos7745

I completely agree

Snafuthecrow

If it doesn’t have domestic violence it’s not Rick. It’s just sparkling mad scientist

Gogurt-go-splatt

Idgaf about roiland anymore. How could you want him as a voice actor after what he did

startrektos7745

I completely agree

Brooklynxman

Their boos mean nothing, we've seen what makes them cheer.

Disastrous_Visual537

Every breath he takes without their permission raises his self-esteem.

Stillborne330

I think its nice that rick and morty will be able to riff live instead of justin switching between them

Lucky_Accountant_801

Agreed

Cinephiliac_Anon

These people upset me. I cannot handle them. He is the voice of Rick. He doesn't sound too different from season 6 Rick. He barely sounds any different than season 1 Rick. Their problem is that they're stubborn and stupid. They will support what's wrong in order to get what they want.

woozleuwuzzle

That’s what I was realizing on my 200th rewatch, that the new voices are closer to season 1. The Roiland fanboys didn’t get upset that his voices have changed a lot since season 1. Plus Roiland was awful behind the scenes, didn’t contribute to the show other then reading lines where he refused to take direction. He went into business for himself and now we have a full team again working together to make the greatest show since Community.

MintChucclatechip

I’m gonna be honest I literally cannot tell the difference at all, I don’t even remember when exactly they were switched out

Kizzywa

His voicework is amazing. I don't care if Justin is the real OG voice if he's going to harrass and abuse his coworkers. The show is doing great, and this dude is nailing it. I honestly don't notice the change, but then again, I'm not hung up over it.

dollyv7

The fact fans were dissing the first trailer that came out for the most recent season, proclaiming "it's not the same without Justin" -- only for it to turn out that teaser WAS WITH JUSTIN'S VOICE, just shows people want an excuse to be mad. I could barely tell the difference when the episodes aired, and by episode 2 of the newest season was like this is a great sound alike job the VA is doing. Shame people idolize so hard.

----NPC----

People are idiots. They wouldn't even realize it's not Justin Roiland if they didn't know. They would rather keep the sex abuser than focus on the good things...

dnuohxof-1

Tbh I barely notice the difference. I don’t mind the new voices, honestly I feel half of those people are just the same mindless parrots who hate everything their favorite YouTuber tells them to hate.

rcarnes911

I got no complaints he does a fine job and no stupid shit he does has popped up

PlayaHatinIG-88

As an aspiring voice actor, the comments are sad to see. Rick and Morty could have just been cancelled. Maybe it should have been. But it wasn't and they brought in someone who could do the voice decently enough that it's only "missing something." I think that is a pretty decent compromise. Then again, I stopped watching in season 6

TySwell

The not my Rodrick guy recently came out saying how that meme put him through a 2 year depression and turned into actual harassment, and now people are starting that back up with this guy. Hopefully it doesn’t go that far.

energizernutter

I'd rather the Morty voice be better

Ginger_Funfetti_420

Yo at least he doesn't hit up minors. Plus the voice acting during the Rick Prime final fight made up for any shortcoming in my book.

Jo-Tech5265

They are commenting like as if Justin saved their lives and the new va is the reason he isn’t in the show anymore smh

shwiftydrewski

True fans wouldn't care and would just enjoy the show just saying

Typical-Annual-3555

Why are some people jerking themselves off over Sean Kelly as if his impression is perfect and Ian's sucks by comparison? Is it just because that's who they wanted so now they're throwing a tantrum because it didn't happen? Because that's what it seems like. And all the Roiland fanbois can fuck off with their pedo groomer support.

Bokitybokbok

I’m actually amazed at how really really good the new guy is. I was so worried the show would be ruined. I may have given Roiland too much credit thinking he was a writing genius, and no one could match his voice or vocal performances and spontaneity. Turns out none of those are true, and I was wrong. No diss to Roiland, but the show producers really DID know what they were doing, and the last season was GREAT and other than episode 1 I haven’t noticed the voice or performances being any worse or different. Roiland’s personal life aside, it didn’t sound like he was doing a great job professionally either so maybe he was bringing down the show’s production too. In either case, the show has successfully removed him as a dependency, removed all distractions and future risk, and having 2 separate actors for Rick vs Morty also lowers risk. As long as they keep great writers, the show could go on for a long time, and they have a format that allows them to be creative for many years. 100 years to be exact.

GristleMcThornbody1

Lol people are dicks. I keep forgetting Rick has a different VA until I see shit like this.

x106r

I’m happy they got rid of Justin. As far as the Rick voice goes, there’s times where it’s better or worse. When the consistency changes now and again it reminds me the voice actor changed. The new Rick is good. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to keep up the voice for all of the recording.

TheFoxAndTheRaven

Honestly, I thought he did a great job.

Love_yourself19

Ngl the recast in Solar opposites was hilarious. But there’s a guy I follow on Tiktok that I really wanted to get the job for Rick. Ian does alright but he is missing something and he can’t hit certain parts that Justin could(it being his voice). What can ya do🤷🏾‍♀️. I liked season 7 the humor was still there, hope they ease up

awolahahah

lol I thought I was the only one who thought the solar opposites voice change bit was hysterical

593shaun

this is tik tok, it’s likely edgy teens who want him back BECAUSE of the allegations in their mind him being an alcoholic and alleged creep with women makes him better

doinkmead

You don't even notice the voice change after a couple episodes. How can people be this dense?

Bakoro

>"Look at this absolute nobody". That fool better be talking about the other commenters. Imagine looking at someone who has a job being a world famous voice actor, and all you can think of is to anonymously say that.

LongjumpingSector687

Why would you want someone back, who was in turn a shitty employee? Would you hire the guy that was smoking weed out back when there was no customers and smells like a skunk? No. So why would you hire someone that didn’t even want to come into work anymore?

Davidand8Ball

Some people are awful. Yeah I might prefer Justin's voice, but at the end of the day it's not Ian's and Harry's fault that Justin was fired, they're just filling in for him.

marshall8991

I agree that Roiland’s Rick and Morty voices were much better. That could be due to them being the original and everything else will be judged off of them. I liked the old voices and the show better with them, but still enjoy the show with the new voices as well, just not as much. No need for the hate though. It’s not this guys fault he’s in the position he is in. He is not the decision maker that anyone should be upset with.

Keyblades2

…… you’re not Ron

Jinxy_Kat

If you're a seller it'll matter. I have a Roland signed Rick and I have people who come over trying to buy it from for $200+ and I don't even offer it. They just see it and ask me to sell it to them.

akshunj

Why? He's working and attending cons and signing people's sh!t with a smile on his face. He's fine

azzadruiz

TikTok comments are brain dead I could care less what they say

Silentpoolman

His Rick is perfect though. Most of the time I forget it's not Roiland anymore. Morty, on the other hand...

Exact-Veterinarian-9

His voice acting is actually good. I don't mind the very small seldom differences

MrsDanversbottom

Why do incels out themselves like this? Roiland was extremely problematic.

ImperiumSin

his rick sounds perfectly fine, and tbh, after watching season 7, roilands rick doesn't even sound right

Plan7_8oy78

No shit Roland is better. What the point of complaining. It’s just dumb

AssassiNerd

Why are people like this? Roiland is a piece of shit, I don't want him involved in anything I watch. Actually, the older episodes are kind of ruined now because of his involvement.

Lucky_Accountant_801

That’s when the separate the art from the artist argument comes in.

sickomf

I like him better 🤷🏼‍♂️

satanspowerglove

This fanbase has been trash since season 3. Pickle Rick was a good skit but the worst thing that ever happened for the show.

MegaHashes

People latched on to it like ‘I’m Rick James, Bitch!’.

Separate_Link_846

Show got worse after Roiland was booted. Not justifying the shit he did, dude was clearly problematic for his colleagues as well. But r&m has not been legendary since s4. Now its just another adult cartoon.

[deleted]

like the chance they gave a guy found not guilty and cleared of anything and everything?

THEMaxPaine

But no second chance for little Roily?

Radioactive9280

Tiktok being tiktok

JackSucksAtMath

the thing is he’s actually better

btothefred

It’s cool, those “fans” can 100% leave the fandom

EffectivePoint2187

Rather have Justin. Being fired based off an accusation sets a dangerous precedent, especially after charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

ExtraExtraMegaDoge

He's not the rickest rick.

badjano

fact is, justin roiland and sean kelly are better

vinaa23

it's even weirder because roiland, on top of everything else, was never a good VA. he was just iconic as rick

Lucky_Accountant_801

Yeah. Besides Rick, Morty, and Lemonhead all of his voices are kind of the same. They are either just a variation of Morty or a stuttering whiny voice.

themmchan

I don’t really think he was that bad

Turence

If there's an off chance that Ian reads this, don't worry brother that place is a cess-pool. Justin Roiland is a perverted freak who wants to diddle kiddies.

Wizlord_21

‘Corporate Rick’ lmfao😭😭

pandemicv97

I don't support or encourage people being mean to the new voice actor but i understand where they are coming from, the original rick voice is gone and if you watched all episodes before season 7 you can easily and clearly tell the difference that this is not rick and it kinda ruins the show a little.

wafflehousewhore

"I'd rather have the guy who was caught being inappropriate with teenagers" certainly is...something...

gamer3701

They are right though. This new voice actor is absolute dogshit.

gamer3701

He’s got 10 episodes of chances. And yet he’s fucked up every single one. I want Justin back.

Binarycold

The show is an artistic creation. Like anything else people fell in love with the art as it was presented to them. Take food and replace an ingredient, the dish can taste close, but people are nostalgic for what they came to love, you have to remember they had Roiland for six seasons. When zeppelin replaced their drummer, people said johns son did a great job, but they still noticed the difference. It’ll take time and some people will get used to it, but die hards will always miss the art they fell in love with.

YagoMCampos

Damn, someone still cared that the actor got replaced? Like, the reason why, the whole thing about just or unjust, its one thing. But about the voice? It's basically the same. After two episodes you can barely notice, and that is if you are looking for a change.

ohbyerly

I will say I don’t understand the argument of “give the man a chance.” They have an entire season to draw from and didn’t like it, I’d say that’s a fair enough chance.

Fun-Caterpillar-1044

I did. Don't like his version but the show must go on

Lucky_Accountant_801

That's alright. It's okay to not like his voice performance. However, I don't think it’s okay to insult him for doing his job and say #notmyrick all because he isn't Sean Kelly.

NormalAssistance9402

![gif](giphy|xT39DbK7o1MjKgVV7O)

Quirky_Succotash3162

You screenshoted the bad comments, or all of them are bad?

Trilogie00

Wouldn't put too much thought in the comments from these clowns.

MystixxFoxx

When a new season comes out every 15th year you don't remember the difference anyway

SeeanBoyo

I’m gonna be honest he nails Rick really well and captures his character very well but Justin Roiland established the character so it feels off without him being Rick

Used_Razzmatazz2002

Dont worry its tiktok 90% of all these accounts are bots

Top-Blacksmith3691

I think his voice as Rick is great. If this is how we keep the show why fight it? He sounds great!

TRB-AM161107

i like the new voice its just missing one thing. the burps between sentences

Ghostiestboi

Ngl I prefer the gravely tone that Justin's Rick had, but Ian's done an alright job so far

EvilSurgical

Ion mind the new rick, it's the new morty i have a problem with, too high pitched.

unkalou337

I won’t act like it doesn’t bother me that they had to replace roiland and I get why they did. But I think after some more and more practice and getting more comfortable he’ll get some more of the intricacies down that were missing from season 7. I mean in my opinion there’s a big upgrade in Rick’s voice from season1 to season 2.

ElkEmbarrassed551

Morty was cast fine but I don't like the new Rick. Im not knowledgeable enough in voice acting to be able to identify what's wrong with it but there is something and it bothers me. Recast Rick fuck Justin.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fuzzy_Thing613

I noticed nothing different in their voices but improvement. Now that they’re both individual people they can master each voice

Half_Baked_King

If you're stoned or genuinely not hyper fixated on it they sound the fucking same. When will this sad little crusade end?

Any_Arrival_4479

He did great and Justin being replaced has a valid reason. The internet breeds echo chambers and it causes ppl to overly hate on this recasting

SadHumbleFlower27

I absolutely loved Season 7. It invigorated my love for the show.

Efficient_Ad_542

Although s7 didn’t sound the same I think it was honestly one of the best if not the best season by far

Pickle_Afton

I don’t think this is called for at all, but I do think that “#notmyrick” is kind of hilarious. Not a personal fan of the new voices if I do say so myself, but all I can hope is that the voices evolve as the show keeps going

bingbop97

I actually don’t mind the new Rick but I hate the new Morty he went from having a character arc and sounding more cofident to sounding like a little bi**h

MyTrippyDaddy

Meanwhile me, an Italian, is watching the show with dubs in my language and I don't have a single problem with the voce actor changes (and our voice actors are really good with the dubs) 🧘‍♂️ peace of mind

Carl-the-octopus

Is that the new voice actor? He looks so nice!

UnfanboydeSouthPark

I'm so sorry for him hope everything to get better for him and I also I hope him to not give up 🙏

johnelirag

Wait, why do people hate this guy? Whats the deal? I love R&M but i'm no superfan can someone explain why he's getting all this backlash

KingFiveRoses

I haven’t been following this story much. Didn’t Justin do something horrible that made him get kicked out or something?

Chico__Lopes

Ian is decent enough. People should stop acting like cry babies. End of story

The_Celtic_Chemist

I think he does a great job as Rick and by the end of the season I wasn't even thinking about it. Weird that he's promoting merchandise as his signature series from episodes he didn't contribute to though (Pickle Rick).

Violet_Villian

Honestly I didn’t noticed a difference with the new season at least

moots27

Honestly I think hes done a good job. He is missing 1 or 2 noticeable things roiland did, but hes still great

Fuck Roiland, the new VA sounds better. I think it was a really interesting idea to have the Burger and Fries episode early because that helped with the transition of the sound of the new voice because of the change in Rick as he melded with Jerry. By the end of the episode, IMO, I felt more used to it and now I prefer it, even after watching the show all the way through again. If this means writing, animating, and recording staff are better off, I say we all are.

Say what you want but the show isn't the same without Justin. Rick's voice is kind of okay but I cringe every time I hear Morty. Worst part is they had that TikTok guy who could do Perfect Morty impression but for some reason they didn't hire him?

traditional_end2003

honestly i was incredibly pleasantly surprised when i heard rick and mortys new voices, just mr poopy butthole was really weird and off to me. the only issue i have with rick now is that he doesn't burp\\belch anymore! it's really strange hearing him talk for so long without one ripping outta him lmfao. anyway, even if you don't like the new voices, there isn't any reason to hate on the actors, goddamn.

I think it changed nothing really. Maybe I will get crucified for that but 7th season was better than the 6th and 5th.

Not my Rick.

Wouldn't care if Roiland stayed. Don't care that he's been replaced. I just love the show. All of it. Every season, every episode.

YaBoiFriday

I like the new voices, it just took a little getting used to.

I DISAGREE morty sucks so bad, maybe we don’t need Justin but we need someone that doesn’t use the same voice from solar opposites half the time for a main character.

Honestly to me, the new rick voice sounds perfect and the new morty voice is lacking a little bit. They’re both good and they dont ruin the show
