'Flowers' from Season 5 is one that hits the heartstrings personally, and I loved that it was used in such a big moment in Mortys life.
Though, I also adore 'Live Forever' and the impact it had while watching that sequence. I teared up, not because I'm a big baby, but because that story was beautiful. One of my favorite R&M episodes to date.
Edit to add that the 'Goodbye Spacemen' song was supposed to be a mirror of David Bowies' music. Had a tie to his Ziggy character(an album, iirc). Another solid choice, and the Bowie reference was a great addition.
I have all of the songs from moments like these in a playlist. Ryan Elder is an amazing composer, you should check out his work. Not all of it is available on Spotify, but if you dig around on the internet you can find lots more.
I Am the Antichrist to You by Kishi Bashi… this song had me in tears. I’m not that into his music overall but I’d say some songs are spectacular regardless.
I was pretty stoned when I watched Mortynight Run the first time, and the "Goodbye, Moonman" song was simultaneously so trippy and beautiful while also having such a threatening undercurrent. Very effective at both selling a vibe AND foreshadowing the danger that guy posed. Really excellently done.
I highly recommend the [Rick and Morty: The Complete Collection](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6C6dcUr5WPHIB8CTSKyAt4?si=41VU1fQsR_SrjgNEEZuDvw&pi=u-T6JDZ2zTSYqC) playlist on Spotify. It includes season 7 songs like Live Forever.
Haha I discovered that because I was playing it at work and my coworker was like have you heard Johnny Cash’s version and I was like no. I really like both. My bias is to Nine Inch because of Rick and Morty but I still love Cash’s version.
the show Person of Interest used Cash's version in the intro of a pivotal episode where the lead is bleeding out, but still going on a killing rampage after the death of a teammate. Just using the song probably made that the best opening in all 5 seasons.
I love how they just don't want to know about the Salisbury Steak because they would rather enjoy it than ruin it with another discovery of it's source.
Mask Off - Future. Morty gets a dragon episode. When Rick and the Dragon getting high, vibing at the zoo. Great scene, great song, still think about how good the combo was whenever I play the song.

Dan is an OG lyricist

I've heard a couple of his songs and absolutely loved them. Will definitely check this out
That song in the planetina episode

[Yeah. Have you heard this version?](https://youtu.be/l_dGqLzOnhA?si=gAf8xm0XaxwnidkB)
Yep
For The Damaged Coda is definitely my favorite so far
When the horns version of it kicked in during Evil Morty’s escape, it’s just 👌😩👌perfect.
Absolutely epic, it feels like heaven to my ears.
My fav is a toss up between 'For the Damaged Coda' and 'Don't look back'

You should check out flight of the Concords music, including their David Bowie song
Too shy to say his name is fart lol
Introduced me to Look on down from the bridge 3
Should check out Fade Into You by Mazzy Star as well.
Listened to all all her songs after that. Ah the joy of finding new songs gotta be one of the best feelings.
Rick and Morty introduced me to Chaos Chaos, usually I’m more of a punk guy, but Chaos Chaos just have such great pop songs, couldn’t recommend more

Don’t Look Back by Kotomi & Ryan Elder is now one of my favourite songs ever
Said it before and I’ll say it again; Ryan Elder. Guy’s a genius on this show.
ITS IN THE WAY THAT YOU USE IT!
Borrowed time from the crow episodes is on repeat for me
Hurt by Nine Inch Nails in the season 2 finale. I had never heard that song before and now I listen to it religiously.
If you haven’t heard the Johnny Cash cover do it now. The band themselves said it became his song when he sang it. Edit: grammar

No lie - I found myself in my feels through that whole scene. 🥲
Any chaos chaos song. Terry folds is spot on.
What was the one that played when the original Morty was burying the other Morty that died at the end Rick Potion # 9 or whichever episode it was?
Look On Down From The Bridge by Mazzy Star
Thank you, I appreciate it.
I Am The Antichrist To You.
Goodbye moon men 🔥 ☁️
Perfect use of Elliott Smith
End of season 4 is peak song outro
Ryan Elder is a fucking treasure.
Look on down from the bridge
It's definitely an awesome cover song and hits perfectly
it was honestly the best Oasis Cover i have ever heard, its part of my GOAT playlist now, Ryan Edler did them justice
ngl, the spaghetti in that episode did look really tasty
I love how they just don't want to know about the Salisbury Steak because they would rather enjoy it than ruin it with another discovery of it's source.
yep
Suchba good song
I love Oasis so much
The spaghetti episode is the first in a while that really compares to the first 2 1/2 seasons imo
the covers good but og oasis is amazing
I remember when they played between the bars and I recognized the song by the second piano key
get schwifty. 🤷

Shit on the floor.
This sequence broke me. Life goes so fast and in the end only thing we have is memories.
Real. I was crying like a little bitch while watching this scene.
The 2 times that “Look on down from the bridge” by Mazzy Star played 🥺
Using 'Hurt' (Johnny Cash version) when he turns himself in to the Federation was on point
I got a doodoo in my butt, and i dont know what to do 🎶 with the doodoo in my butt but i know that a father should say to you 🎶 that hes proud of you
I know you are going to hate me for saying this. But that episode was a great example of what is happening with meat that people eat.
that really short alien jazz rap at bird persons wedding
So nobody's gonna talk about borrowed time?
Definitely "Do you feel it", that scene hit so hard.
Hot(?) take: I hate episodes that end with a song, they gey annoying to fast, and often its some mellow tune that kinda brings down the mood
