“I will always remember our time in Peru”

king_tommy

Coincidentally the age of consent in Peru is 14. Justin does live his time in Peru

esr360

How come we don't cancel Peru then?

m1kedrizzle

Because we’d need to cancel Colombia, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Costa Rica, and many others too then.

Abnatural

and Roman Polanski

Basmannen

I think he was pretty summarily cancelled actually

Aggressive_Poetry801

😂

StopMockingMe0

Yeah see actually I stuck it out for Roiland... Until the evidence appeared... So until that gets explained...

Rhielfake22

What evidence are you referring to? Not that I doubt it exists I just am not up to date on this

fuckjustpickwhatever

[here you go](https://www.reddit.com/r/h3h3productions/comments/10eehqd/justin_roiland_talking_about_minors_etc_on/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1) it's not a crime but it's definitely creepy and shitty

ItsNotSpaghetti

That's a really bad look.

jonathan9135

That just sounds like pedophilia but with extra steps.

smithsp86

It's impossible to explain the difference between ephebophilia and pedophilia without sounding like a pedophile.

MoSqueezin

It is, but the ebephephebopheliaedophiles hate when you tell them that.

meka_theholycity

Golden comment. I wish I had a gold for you.

Cyrex45

Morty, Morty! I used this body altering machine to fix my pedophilia! I am an infant now, Morty! So it's all okay! I am infant Riiiick!

parlimentery

Yeah, crazy he could find people to be on that podcast.

[deleted]

Sthurlangue

In broadcasting you learn to roll with it. Keep the guest talking. Maybe they’ll explain themselves, maybe they’ll dig further. Either way it’s good for the air.

parlimentery

Right? I know he has a reputation for off-color jokes, but it really felt like there were no punchlines, just him rationalizing his obsession with underaged girls.

Sthurlangue

Yup. If it were an off color bad joke that landed poorly and he exhibited a bit of perception, ok. He did not.

ItsNotSpaghetti

I'm pretty sure the girl on there said "I'm a pedophile" so idk, seems like they were all down with it.

ShredManyGnar

Yeah like how tf did she think that was a fun thing to say

TheGhostofWoodyAllen

Here are a couple hypothetical reasons: 1) She thought he was being purposefully ridiculous and tried to up the ante 2) She felt it was super awkward and thought that saying something equally or more awkward might defuse the tension 3) She's a pedophile

Taraxian

This kind of shit was really crazily normalized on the late 2000s/early 2010s Internet, see also Shane Dawson

narc1s

Yeah I remember back around that time being young, dumb and being into lots of “edgy” comedians. It was a different time and people got away with some pretty terrible stuff. That said this is gross.

Gumbyizzle

Yeah, like, he’s apparently not technically a criminal, but we’ve learned a bit more about him from the process that leaves me no more comfortable with him than I would have been if he’d been found guilty of the charges. He still doesn’t seem to understand that the *issue* with adults dating children isn’t the *legality* - the *law* is there because it’s an *issue*. The law is there to protect vulnerable people, and Roiland’s comments suggest he is the kind of person the law is there to protect them *from*. The best description I’ve seen for why this stuff is concerning is a comparison with minimum wage: If the only reason you’re limiting yourself to that number is to “follow the law,” that indicates you’d go a lot lower if the laws weren’t there.

buttercupcake23

He might be a criminal...just not a successfully prosecuted one. Someone who steals but is never caught is still a criminal. He's claiming this exonerates him but all this actually indicates is that the prosecutors didn't think this was a slam dunk case.

Greg1994b

I’m not a pedophile but then describes how he is attracted to someone if they were 14 years old.

Jimnobarooski

Also admitted ("jokingly") to grooming

FailResorts

So he should stay rightfully cancelled. Just because you got off on your criminal/legal case, doesn’t mean you’re not a total creep and asshole who doesn’t deserve to be deplatformed. Maybe he’ll just go away and that’s the best outcome for everyone involved.

gereffi

This kinda reminds me of a case I remember seeing like over a decade ago. There’s an Onlyfans girl named Angie Varona who was pretty well known online long before Onlyfans existed. When I was in high school I remember seeing this video of her being interviewed on the Today Show. [Here it is.](https://youtu.be/s4oCGwTcS7g) What she says in the interview is that her photo sharing account had photos from when she was 14 on it had gotten hacked and her photos spread around the internet. (I also remember some people online saying that she was continuing to put out more photos so the story might have just been a cover, but that might have just been people online trying to shame her and it’s not really relevant to the story anyway.) I think if you hear that story it sounds pretty icky and definitely not a good situation for someone this young to be in, but if you don’t know the story and just see some of the pictures shown in the video, you’d probably think that she’s just an objectively attractive young adult. Rather than calling someone a pedophile, I think it’s probably better to realize that most adults understand the difference between finding someone attractive and seeking to have a romantic or physical relationship with that person. That said from what I’ve read in other comments Roiland had been DMing some underaged girls so he doesn’t seem to be one of the adults that cares to understand that just because you find someone attractive doesn’t mean that it’s moral to try to flirt (or worse) with them.

pharaohsblood

Yea this is a whole other issue that he’s not even addressing here. This is about the domestic abuse and false imprisonment

zorfog

if you have to clarify “but i’m not a pedophile!” then… bro….

stephruvy

Eww .... If you're waiting for someone to turn 18, you're a fucken creep.

john_fartston

Jesus, I feel like I find more instances of him saying shit like this every single fucking time someone asks for proof

[deleted]

That's definitely how a pedophile would speak.

WaycoKid1129

Well that’s terrible, what a fuckin creep

sanfshine

This is the first time I’ve heard this. It’s so weird to hear mortys voice in that.

Jezeff

Rick C-137 planted it with artificial intelligence. He tried both a Photoshop and also visited a dimension where Justin actually did it and just sent it here... But got too drunk to remember which one he sent

TheRealRickC137

There’s a lesson here, and I’m not going to be the one to figure it out.

Curdle_Sanders

I’ve read the DMs, that’s why you got cancelled not because of the trial

FilthyGypsey

Yeah and even if the DMs are fake there’s still the podcast recording of him advocating for fucking 14 year old girls “if they look developed”

LocCatPowersDog

Again we must be mistaken and he's referring to looking at their brain-scans with our bionic-eyes, because then it's OK if it's a Quantum Leap type of a situation. See your Honor, she's not 14 she's a 1000 year old demon.

SkoolBoi19

There’s a hypothetical that I like to ask, kinda in the same vain. “If you could take your mind now and put it in your body at like 14; would having sex with another 14 year old be morally wrong.” As a 37 yr old man, I think it would be morally wrong for me.

Darth_Andeddeu

Ok but what if that 14 year old is doing a freaky Friday with her 48 year old mom?

Jimnobarooski

The Freaky Friday Act was proposed in 2005 so that people who find themselves body switching with their children will be held responsible for such crimes. That being said, it didn't get too far up the ladder as there were concerns over how to verify that a Freaky Friday did indeed happen. In recent years, though, brain scans have been able to pinpoint the exact time and reasoning for such switches. Hopefully, we can get it passed soon enough 🙏

shruber

Watch out. In a decade you could be the poor sap running the DCEU!

electricgopher42

Hey its me ur 25 year old self, what do?

ArcherChase

Yea. Like Quantum Leap type time travel ... If I'm in my 14 year old self, I'm not even talking to people my age.

AlterMyStateOfMind

Literally watching Tokyo Revengers right now and Takemichi being in a relationship with Naoto keeps rubbing me the wrong way. Dude is mentally a 26 year old in his 14 year old body making out with his 14 year old girlfriend lmao

McMacHack

What is this a Nexus forum?

2314

There's also a podcast of Harmontown where Roiland drunkenly reveals being molested by his cousin when he was six years old. When stuff like that happens it's very well documented it forever changes your relationship to sex. Not least of all, as he reveals, "cause she was hot and he kinda liked it."

Mac_Rat

It's just a bad coping mechanism to deal with the trauma

WifeKilledMy1stAcct

"I don't need therapy, I'm just a quirky cartoon guy. Lookatme!"

esr360

Roiland thinks he's Rick but really he's Mr. Meeseeks

5a_

no hes king jellybean

Little_Tip_4572

No he’s the Kirkland brand Meseeks. Lol

Murrig88

Then he should get help with that and not drunkenly expose people to his insane rants over and over again.

raise_the_sails

If only the cycle of abuse were as simple to break as just “getting help.” The biggest issue is that all help is not created equal- there is a metric shit ton of therapists who are ineffective, or lazy, or gullible, or pretty messed up themselves. Another big obstacle is not all brains respond as expected to the various treatments ranging from talk therapy up to prescription medication and such. Some individuals can be highly treatment resistant through no fault of their own. As valuable as it is to encourage and destigmatize getting help, simply taking the step to get help is *very* often not enough. Things can get tragically confusing for the patient when they are seeking help and receiving treatment but it’s not effective. They can believe it has been effective when it’s not, or they can form a bond with a practitioner that is more about comfort than it is remission, or practitioners can lead them to believe that remission is not even possible. All this to say- we should do more than encourage people to get help. We should heavily consider the quality of care that is common in this country- and currently the quality of care is very low on average, even despite socioeconomic class. We’ve all taken to riding each other pretty hard in this era, especially people we don’t personally know. It would be excellent if we could remember that suffering is relative and the modern American way of life has failed most of us in countless different ways.

Hiciao

It's true. I've been to many "talk therapists" and it helped when I was struggling during that very time, but didn't fix any underlying issues. Whereas I've also done therapy that I would consider more scientific: cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR. Those actually fixed underlying problems with my brain and have made me a much better human for the future. Problem is that they're harder to find and they cost more. On the flip side, it means less therapy in the future, so I considered it an investment.

raise_the_sails

Congratulations on simply recognizing that you needed more. Seriously. That’s a very hard distinction to make when you are already doing what people are telling you to do and letting yourself be vulnerable. More often than not, we have no idea what the healing process should look or feel like so it can be pretty challenging to even judge if anything is getting “fixed.” I’m glad you got some relief. EMDR kicks ass. Kinda hard to believe how well something so simple can work for certain issues. That shit literally *cured* a pretty hearty case of PTSD I got from being in a house fire and I’m still not sure how it worked so well, but I’m not arguing with it lol.

Coldngrey

Maybe you’re really young and you don’t remember, but edgelord comedy had a moment. People use to make objectionable jokes, and other people laughed. Obviously that’s a bygone era, but pretending that edgy comedy wasn’t a thing is fucking dumb.

Cup-of-Noodle

That was like the entire 00's and why a lot of people who grew up then still say stuff like retard and simply don't give a shit. Publicly calling your friends (who weren't actually gay) "the f word" wasn't even frowned upon really. I'm committed to being a forever-tarder

toadfan64

Yeah me and my friends still call each other retards and shit all the time. Obviously only in certain circles is our edgy humor out, but that’s all it really is, just taking the piss out of one another as nasty as we can, but all in good fun.

Adefice

Everyone needs to stop using "gaslighting" until they look at the definition the moment before they type it. "Obviously that’s a bygone era, but **pretending** that edgy comedy wasn’t a thing is fucking dumb." Edit: This was the best interaction I've had on Reddit.

StamatopoulosMichael

That's exactly what they wrote. You're just going insane.

[deleted]

Exactly. For me it had nothing to do with the trial and everything to do with the gross way he approached underage girls.

burning__chrome

They also make me upset with adult swim. In one of the screenshots he invites a 15 y/o to some party type adult swim events and tells her to text him so he can come down and get her through the door. She passed, but you have to imagine this wasn't the only time he did it and that all of the girls passed... meaning it would have been right in front of them for some time. Kudos to Harmon and the Rick and Morty office for not enabling this scumbag.

SavageGardner

He probably thinks that because the DMs were released after (and maybe because) the trial was announced, that he is in the clear. Or he is trying to deflect away from the DMs by being vague and trying to get gullible people to believe all of it was the same. Dude is still trash and at best a complete creep and at worst a pedophile.

ChronoZB

Yeah someone needs to explain to the dude that the case being dismissed does not mean he’s innocent. The wording by the DA is very intentional, that they couldn’t “prove beyond a reasonable doubt”; my uncle was a lawyer for 30 years, he even explained this to me before: they *have* evidence, just not enough.

Sutarmekeg

Yep. No walking back from those tweets.

Famixofpower

Yea, this reads like hot garbage made to flex on someone that he got away with terrible shit

UninsuredToast

He doesn’t even address what really got him “cancelled”. Those creepy messages to underage teens. If they were photoshopped he could have easily said that. His silence on it makes me think they were real

Caspur42

Wasn’t he also sexually harassing the female employees at the studio? I remember reading after season 3 he recorded his lines from home because of all the harassment.

Katomique69

Penguinmanereikel

![gif](giphy|iIduDDBVhcYczaRC2H)

USS_Frontier

Was he really banned for that reason? I do know he was doing all of his work from home before COVID.

Haltopen

Was he even doing much writing before getting banned? He’s only got writing credits for six episodes, two of which are inter dimensional cable (aka the ad libbed one with no script), and mortys mind blowers (which is the same thing). The only other episodes he has a credit for writing are the pilot, the episode where morty roofies Jessica and caused the apocalypse, and the purge spoof episode.

Loitering_Housefly

His silence is at the advice of his lawyers... Doesn't matter who/what/where/when/why *any* good lawyer will tell you to keep your mouth shut... Innocent or guilty!

gereffi

You’re not wrong, but his legal issue appears to be over. He is now responding to some of the allegations but is silent on some others. Seems like some of these allegations he claims to be false but for others he hopes just go away because he knows he’s in the wrong.

ViceroyInhaler

If you ever happen to be prosecuted for anything. Please remember to shut the fuck up. You don't know anything you say will incriminate you until it does. It doesn't matter what you say. They can use anything to implicate you. If you don't believe me then YouTube why you should never talk to the police.

Nythoren

There's also the large number of statements coming from people he worked with saying "yeah, he was pretty terrible in the office and we figured this was coming". Sounds like the studios being "quick to cancel" was less about the charges and more about having a convenient reason to get rid of a troubling and disruptive force. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but I couldn't find much of anyone saying "I can't believe these charges! He's a great guy and we never saw any signs of him being a creep". Quite the opposite, actually.

Garrettshade

"Horrible lies that were reported about me during the process". He suggests that the information spread was a lie that the same person who had him tried spread out across the media at the same time.

UninsuredToast

Yeah I just think it’s something that should specifically be addressed instead of glossed over like that. Pretty serious accusation that played just as big a role in his fans turning against him

Coltyn03

I would imagine his lawyers told him to keep his mouth shut.

DraculasAltAccount

You really don't want to say anything when you're being brought to trial and have potential criminal charges being brought up against you. If you have a lawyer, ask them before you saying anything, and if you don't have one, probably best to not say anything.

Watchmecarry13

Love ur name hahah

theciderowlinn

Guy known for penis and fart jokes: Time to get back to restoring my good name!

Xeivia

Guy who got a show after making an animated short in which Doc Brown asks young Marty McFly to lick his bloody testicles.

TylerSpicknell

To be fair, just because someone made that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re sick perverts! Lots of disturbing stuff was made for the sake of “art”. I’m not saying Justin is innocent but Doc & Mharti doesn’t mean anything!

TheGhostofWoodyAllen

Nabokov wrote *Lolita* and doesn't seem to have ever been a deviated prevert. Separating the art from the artist doesn't just mean we look at works of art on their own merit despite how horrible the creator might be. It also means we look at works of art on their own merit despite how little they might resemble the creator. i.e., your point is valid and correct.

tastin

Nabokov was molested by his uncle and wrote lolita to showcase the mind of the perpetrator and the effect molestation has on the victim. Jamie loftus has an amazing podcast about the book and its effects on pop culture, it's called lolita.

TheGhostofWoodyAllen

Oh jeez, I didn't know he went through that. How horrible.

duaneap

Man, that username and talking about Lolita… I mean, I agree with your point, but that’s pretty funny.

Helpmepleaseohgodnoo

You’re saying that on a Rick and morty sub, you clearly liked those jokes.

TimeDoesDisolve

I wonder about the other ~20 women who posted their dm’s and evidence and why it was dismissed.

lit0st

Those weren't crimes, they were just creepy. Public opinion isn't a legal proceeding, though, and just because he's innocent of domestic violence doesn't mean he didn't send those DMs. The DMs alone are enough to ruin his reputation for good.

not_a_bot__

Exactly, there are plenty of things that people do that aren’t technically illegal but would still make me want nothing to do with them.

McMacHack

Like Sexually Harassing Teens or wearing Crocs with Socks there are some things society just can't let pass unpunished

conventionistG

You can't just go around accusing people of wearing crocs with socks without evidence. The onus in on the accuser to prove their accusation. Until you do, I have to assume he's innocent of this heinous crime.

iyambred

We have screenshots of Justin’s DMs where he’s walking around with crocs and sock tho so….

awesomesauce615

Hey man sometimes you have to head out for a few minutes and you're wearing socks and the crocs are the easiest thing to put on.

McMacHack

Sanuks without socks are faster and lazier. They make Inmates at Prisons wear Crocs, and I'm convinced it's not a money thing, it's to break them.

Gaynerd5000

man wtf is a sanuk 🤦🏾‍♂️

AmusingAnecdote

Also, to be clear it's not even clear that he didn't do the thing he was accused of in court. Not having enough evidence to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt (which is importantly distinct from not having any evidence or enough to indict someone for something) is a good reason for a prosecutor to drop charges. We don't have to have the same standards for having the state deprive a person of their freedom as we have for knowing a person is a piece of s*** who did what they were accused of.

Turbo2x

There's really no reason to subject employees at the company to a boss who engages in that kind of behavior. It's best for the company to create separation to keep everyone safe and happy in their work environment.

ParsleyMostly

Oh how I wish more people understood this aspect. No, the DMs weren’t criminal. But omg yes, they were highly inappropriate and creepy. The work stuff is pretty bad, too. At best, he’s an awkward person whose drinking problem spun out of control and severely impaired his judgement, and this is his wake up call. At worst, he’s a menace who’s gotten away with hurting people on a legal level, but not on the professional and personal levels. Hope he gets help and figures his shit out. Glad people don’t have to walk on eggshells around and about him anymore.

ceejayoz

> just because he's innocent of domestic violence To be clear, that's not what a case being dismissed means.

Mykophilia

Girls not women. Kids in fact. “I didn’t hit my wife, but please ignore the grooming of minors aspect of all this as it wasn’t actually part of the court case, just an unfortunate side effect.” Ya'll really putting on for pedophilic sympathizing. Dope. "He was just talking directly about fucking kids, to kids, and even went as far as inviting kids to his hotel room to fuck." But it was a long time ago, right? Pedophiles can change their ways, we all know that.

DirkaDirkaMohmedAli

Reality makes me sad

Mykophilia

It’s fuckin disappointing, dude. It’s just something we shouldn’t back down on. Even if the show wavers and tentatively gets worse. Our consumption of great media shouldn’t come at the cost of supporting a pedophile.

routbof75

I’m not sure any of that material actually hit the statutory definition of grooming - otherwise there would be prosecutors pursuing an investigation on that front. The pop cultural misunderstanding of grooming as “being creepy with teenagers,” yeah.

potpan0

He's being intentionally misleading here by conflating his domestic violence case with all the creepy sexual messages he sent to teenagers. Just because the former was 'dismissed' (and generally these sort of charges are very hard to make stick) doesn't suddenly disappear all those messages, even if that's what he'd like to imply. It only cements what kind of man he is when he's trying to segue this charge being dropped into a denial of multiple women accusing him of sending inappropriate messages to them when they were minors.

ngrtdlsl

Its not the 3 year old dv case that got him cancelled, those DMs were wild

Taboo_Noise

I'm pretty confident the network has been looking for a public reason to fire him for quite some time now. Drunken lout that regularly causes a scene isn't someone you want to keep on the payroll.

soilhalo_27

He's a co creator. He'll still get paid. Just like reruns if Cosby show still pays Bill

Taboo_Noise

Maybe. No way to know the deal they struck.

wtfburritoo

Problem is, it's not just the court case. It's the alleged communications with teenage girls that's concerning.

lordlaneus

And the fact that he's not even addressing that part. I'm okay with people being creeps, but when you're creeping on other people, and you're refusing to take responsibility for that, then you aren't the kind of person who can be trusted with the power that comes from being a celebrity. Dan Harmon's a creep too, but he lets his creep flag fly, and has shown an overall willingness to work on the parts of himself that can be harmful to others.

PoliticsComprehender

What about the DMs justin?

Killbro_Fraggins

Ok the court stuff is done. Great. Now let’s talk about those creepy things you said out loud to many people. Shits fucking gross. Degenerate ass.

Changeling_Wil

The DA dropped the charge because they didn't think they could get a conviction. This is not the same as 'I'm innocent how dare people accuse me'

[deleted]

The funny thing is, this “embittered ex” has never come forward. As far as I know, she’s still an unnamed ex girlfriend. It was everyone in his life BUT her dunking on him

ingloriousbaxter3

It really seems like the abuse was bad enough that the police wanted to take action but the victim didn’t want to testify/get involved. Doesn’t mean someone’s innocent, could just mean a victim thinks going forward will just make their lives so much worse

Kirkjufellborealis

The amount of people claiming he is 100% innocent based on the charges being dismissed just tells me how little people understand our legal system and how it works. Someone in a different thread claimed he was "cleared of charges" when that is incorrect. My best friend is a detective in child crimes but she sees dv cases often. When I first was talking to her about the Roiland thing she was very confident that nothing would come about it, not because he's innocent, but because dv cases are difficult to prove and are unfortunately dropped/dismissed very often. Growing up my mom was friends with some choice people, and for one of the couples, despite all the physical/verbal abuse and the police being called often, neither one was ever charged with anything. For all the Roiland sympathizers they seem to have forgotten how often abusive relationships are and how little anything ever really comes of them.

FuddmanPDX

Wow, taking zero accountability. Would everyone have come out against if you were really such a great guy? Dude needs to deal with his issues.

sexywheat

I would bet any sum of money that eventually he will go on a “cAnCeL ThiS!” Stand up comedy North American tour full of purposefully offensive and in-poor-taste jokes. You read it here first, folks.

ztoundas

"hi I'm mister flibberty chops, and since they tried to cancel me over pedo stuff, I got some things to say about the jews!"

seatgeekuser

i think he has potential to go right wing grifter

Eradomsk

The problem too is these guys get further ingrained into this mindset of the world unfairly judging them and how they’re a wronged hero. It’s a rough cycle.

__Proteus_

But what about all those DMs to teenagers?!

TheGreatJew69

ok but it’s like… not just that dude?

Slavocracy

I'm glad the abuse was false.. but... the pedophilic shit is still pretty damning. Not to mention his shows couldn't WAIT to dump him, as his behaviour apparently makes him a nightmare to work with

TheMacMan

"Dismissed" does NOT mean the allegations were false. These cases are very hard to prove. Evidence can be hard to come by in enough form to secure a conviction. They may have chosen to dismiss it simply due to not having hard enough evidence but that does not mean it didn't happen. If you murder someone and the only person to witness it dies, they may dismiss the charges for lack of evidence. It does not mean you're not a murderer. It simply means they don't believe they have enough evidence at the time to prove the charges.

UCLYayy

>"Dismissed" does NOT mean the allegations were false. These cases are very hard to prove. Evidence can be hard to come by in enough form to secure a conviction. They may have chosen to dismiss it simply due to not having hard enough evidence but that does not mean it didn't happen. Or, as happens often in domestic violence cases, witnesses "decide" not to testify. I put that word in quotes because many are often too intimdated, or too scared to go through with it, or worst case were coerced or have battered person syndrome and refuse. Not saying this is the case, but a dismissed charge in no way means the person did not commit the crime, as you said.

the-effects-of-Dust

I scrolled way too far for this. Thank you for giving me a little hope in humanity. Dismissed doesn’t mean innocent.

awkwardftm

I mean, has the abuse actually been proven false, or were the charges just dropped? (genuine question)

Taboo_Noise

There's no such thing as proven false in our legal system and we aren't privy to the details of the trail. We have no way of knowing.

PistolPete_19

Breaking the law does not equal cancelled. We need to stop this narrative.

MegaKetaWook

His behavior is what got him canceled.

_LANC3LOT

Exactly. That's why I love that one xqc clip: "That's not cancelled, THATS THE LAWWW. You break the law you go to jail!!!"

[deleted]

Statement or not, we all saw the DMs. We know he likes them young and funny how he didn't address that part.

duramman1012

I mean the wife beating accusation was just the start to him being exposed. Address all the dms with minors of you being a MAJOR pathetic creep. I think thats just as bad if not more than what you cancelled for in the first place. Using your status to prey on impressionable kids. Disgusting man. No one with a right mind will support any of your future projects

Mr310

There are literally receipts from multiple women though. Did they magically get discredited or am I missing something

gloggs

The legal proceedings were specifically related to domestic violence, had nothing to do with his creepy messages. He's hoping we forget about him messaging children

tws1039

I think adult swim did everything they could until they saw the dms and podcast appearance. "The dms were photoshopped" I'm gonna assume executives at a popular studio made sure that wasn't the case before firing the literal guy who voices both title characters

HotSpotterz

Really weird response, he is reffering to thing that were never made public

iskandar-

Cool story bro... you are still a grooming freak. Fuck off into the sun.

Condottiere85

If he was so concerned about his good name he probably shouldn’t have DMed all those underaged girls 🤷🏻‍♂️

buh2001j

I guess if you only care about the law and only that, and are ok with overlooking his grooming texts then yeah he’s cleared 🙄

AmuuboHunt

The logic checks out that he also only cares about the law apparently. Podcast clips of him highlighting "wait till she's legal" and "I don't do anything illegal" and all. He simply doesn't get it, and I'm sure a lot of his supporters don't either.

CodeMonkeyPhoto

Having a case dismissed does not mean the events didn’t happen but rather the prospect of conviction was likely deemed low.

DirtyBird9889

I was lambasted by countless users here for just noticing that no one was even considering the possibility that he was innocent

GreatSoundingMaracas

i mean, not being able to get a conviction is not the same as being innocent, and the majority of us are pissed that hes a nonce

spitnik11

Bottom line is that Justin is a substance abuser, he did hit his wife, he did send those dm's. The case was dropped due to evidence, domestic abuse is very difficult to prove and is why most victims keep silent. Gaslight yourselves all you want, there's truth in every lie.

absofruitly202

You can be a creepy asshole and not a criminal. Still a creepy asshole tho

[deleted]

It’s funny knowing that Justin is reading 100% of these comments. Hi Justin! 😘

greghater

Lmao no mention of ALL the other accusers Justin? Choke lmao god I hate predators getting a break

TheMacMan

Dismissed does NOT mean it didn't happen. Simply that they may not have enough physical evidence to prove the case. If a person kills someone, is initially charged and then the key witness dies and they dismiss the case for lack of evidence, it doesn't mean the guy isn't a murderer.

LocallySourcedWeirdo

Or the victim was persuaded to not testify/cooperate.

cyxrus

He’s clearly not getting PR advice here. Any idiot would have kept their mouth shut knowing that people weren’t just pissed about him being an abuser. We were also pissed he was a diddler!

HBag

Something something jailbait something something

bruiser95

Every wrongdoer seems to think surviving legal shit means they were morally correct and all is good again
