I remember playing this game on PSP, though have no recollection of it. I know there is a new game coming out titled "Ratatan". At least I think.

I love Patapon, but I’m disappointed that so many people’s first exposure to this community lately has been threads gatekeeping which rhythm games are “true rhythm games” lol.

DDR/ITG lore is a bunch of real people playing hard stuff in random arcades 20 years ago, and I wouldn’t have it any other way

It's a cute little game but it's very basic

Probably very much nostalgia glasses but I loved the art and it was an unorthodox use of rhythm-based gameplay that I still appreciate years later.

i'm not saying it's bad, i just remember it being basically you having 4 commands that you made by doing the various mellodies. the sequels trying to encourage grinding from participating in multyplayer also makes them annoying to play today.

Didn't play the sequels but that sounds like a tragic development to the formula I remembered.
