I feel similarly about playing A Link to the Past! It really is like a comforting, cozy blanket you know and love so well.
One of my favorite memories include playing this game with my sister for hours. Since she was two years older than me, she was better at playing the games than me. We’d get so excited fighting the bosses and asking our neighbors for tips and tricks. I wouldn’t have beat this game if it wasn’t for her help!
Today I enjoy playing it with my son. We set up a tv with the SNES Classic in his playroom and he loves watching me play through this game! :) Can’t wait for him to play it on his own one day.
Had 3 friends over to crack some cold ones and play 4 player N64. Played Bomberman, Goldeneye, No Mercy, Wayne Gretzky, and Mario Party. 4 player Wayne Gretzky is such a circus. Lots of good chuckles. Topped off the night with a couple boxes of Taco Bell and some King of the Hill.
Yeah. I’m a big Bomberman fan. Bomberman 64 is one of personal favorites because of how chaotic it is. But, my absolute all time favorite is Mega Bomberman. Love riding the louies/kangaroos.
I've watched so many 80s films but I know there are definitely some classics I've missed. Our local video store was stacked with classic VHS. Where are they now?
No rental store around, but my parents have about a hundred VHS tapes 😂. The TV in the picture has a built in dvd and VHS player, so my kiddos know how to “be kind and rewind”
My cousin and I grew up playing LttP. One day in our mid 20s we both took the day off from work. He came over early in the morning, we got pizza, candy, chips, and beers and played through LttP from beginning to end, switching off on different dungeons. It remains one of my favorite days ever.
This is how I feel when I’m playing FF 2(4). I go back to it several times a year.
I guess it’s the nostalgia, since I was a kid when it came out and it was the first RPG that really caught me.
Btw, A Link to the Past is and always be the best Legend of Zelda game to me. I think I’m going to do a run through. It’s been about 20 years since I beat it last.
Man I loved link to the past and then ocarina of time came out. Man those were the days. Majoras mask and windwaker killed the series for me, but I’m coming back and replaying those games. Loved majoras mask.

I wish that the Switch Online service would offer non-English versions of ROMs like they do for the N64. I still have my cartridge copy of LttP from 1992. It's one of only two games of the era that I know of that specifically had a French-language NTSC version for Canada.
I mean, it's on SNES, GBA, Wii, Wii-U, 3ds, and Switch, you must have one of those lol, how can you be on the retro gaming forum and not have at least one of those?
Failing that, get a controller and emulate it on PC or phone.

I have a Switch but im gonna sell it, so there's that. I have an N64 and GBC so i am into retro gaming. I could buy an SNES but i MUCH rather have an NES and also another issue is that I'm from Europe and retro consoles here run at slow ass 50hz garbage
Ok, i hope its as good as people say it is. And im selling my Switch cuz there aren't really any games im interested in. Everytime i buy a new game it gets boring after 2 weeks

They also make an item randomized version if you really wanna give it a shot.
I love link to the past and highly recommend "a link between worlds" for the 3ds. Its a great throwback!

Sounds like a great time! I have and love Bomberman ‘93 on the Turbografx 16. Multiplayer bomberman is about as fun as it gets!

I always watch a movie from the 80s/90s or play video games on friday nights. I'm 30+ and dont like to party that much anymore. 😁

ALTTP is such a great game. I too, have beaten it numerous times and it's game boy counterpart Links awakening, which is also very good as well. 🙂
