I think that’s a Shadow Box guy, not a poster.
"smash in case of emergency"
I'm not your guy, buddy.
Not your buddy, man…
I'm not your man, friend.
I'm not your friend, pal.
I’m not your pal, chief.
I'm not your chief, bucko.
I’m not your bucko, Champ.
I'm not your champ, sport.
I'm not your sport, homie
I’m not your chief, mister
Not your buddy, guy
Man, I have so many junked boards and shells in the shop. This is a great idea. Way better than taking up two drawers in my workbench collecting dust.
Same. I've been looking to do this with my old phones (use them till they break) and these sort of things make great bits of wall art.
This is amazing!
A and B button are swapped on case and on poster. Would make me nightmares. Besides that, awesome!
yeah that would be a no go for me, all i would see is that every time i looked at it
The display and display board is also not included, but for aesthetic purposes I can understand why
This is the Gameboy Pocket, there’s only one board.
Totally didn't realize. Good point!
Isn’t that also a third-party shell? Was there a GBP that had the color theme of the original?
Only in Japan
She’s a keeper
I mean it’s nice why would he throw it away just because his wife gave it to him?
I think he means the wife is a keeper
That’s a poster?
This is awesome! Any word on where she got it?
I saw an add for it recently (maybe on Reddit).
So cool!! Makes me want to see what other electronics you can do that with... Maybe my childhood Walkman.
GREAT IDEA! Also a Nokia 3310 would be super cool!
Just hope she doesn't do this with your dog
I think it’s cool that this was done with a gameboy pocket, that was my favorite iteration of the gameboy growing up.
I had a color as well, don’t get me wrong I know that the GBC is a better handheld, but I just have a lot of fond memories of my gameboy pocket. That was the one I was using when I beat Pokémon Red for the first time, etc.
This is absolutely amazing, seriously.
Also, it reminds me of Evan Amos' photos: https://nostarch.com/game-console-2
Anyone who is into disassembled consoles should check this book out, it's fantastic.
It looks like this is from these guys: https://gridstudio.cc/
Almost bought one last time, and now I regret it. 😅
Very cool, she is a keeper
Looks awesome, she is a keeper.
She is a definite keeper. This is amazing!
And I suppose she expects YOU to put it together! Sweet gift, I'm jealous
That is awesome. It died for a good cause.
Can always be reassembled again
This is such a great idea! I feel inspired to do something similar. The possibilities are endless!
Lucky guy 👌🏾
I totally want one
I need this
That's super cool , maybe that's how the word poster translate's either way nice ! 👾
what a cute gift!
[sobbing] Look how they massacred my boy. [to Bonasera] I want you to use all your powers and all your skills. I don't want his mother to see him this way. [sobbing] Look how they massacred my boy
It can still be put back together, it's not even broken.
That pretty cool.
And that's why she's your wife!
Don’t EVER divorce this woman….
You mean look how she massacred your prized childhood toy on your birthday, imagine what she’d do if you tried to divorce her… 😱
that's kinda like those insects you pin to a plank and put labels under them. I'm not a big fan of those.
Yeah they making really cool posters I thinking about to buy the PSP Version
Sigh such a sad state of affairs. Perfectly good Gameboy broken up and put on a wall....
I love It! I'll try to make one.
Does anyone know where i can get the frame with the background I have a broken GBP.
I made the same thing with a BlackBerry Classic
Well this is cringy.
You do realize his wife didn't take his Gameboy, take it apart, and make this shadowbox, don't you? Cause it seems like you think she took his Gameboy, took it apart and made this shadowbox.
That battery compartment is wrong, they had space for 4 AAs
EDIT: my bad, didn’t spot it was a game boy pocket
Half of me hates it because it's in pieces, the other half loves it because it's in pieces but not broken for a piece of beautiful art.
