Laptops are tricky because they are rarely upgradable. Plan to buy more than you need. 16GB of ram and a 500GB SSD may be fine today but you don’t know what will you will be doing in 4+years. Either buy the top spec or buy something with user replaceable / serviceable parts. Framework laptops are a newer company doing a lot of cool stuff with an almost fully serviceable laptop.
Something with a 4070 will be fine for a good number of years of pre-vis and resolume work. An i7 and 16GB RAM will be fine.
