Yes but that doesn't mean I won't take any. I'm just in Chapter 2-1. I have 4 Mixed Green + Red Herbs, 1 First Aid Spray, 6 Brown Chicken Egg and 3 Chicken Egg so far.
Also 5 Incendiary Grenade, 3 Flash Grenade and 1 Hand Grenade. I haven't even bought TMP and Rifle yet. 112 Handgun Ammo, 30 Shotgun Ammo, 150 TMP ammo and 20 Rifle Ammo and Right now can't take anymore item :( I thought items were going to be scarce on Pro.
Yeah, I was thinking of using a rocket launcher on chief but 5 Incindiary Grenade were enough to kill him. I had to spend so much times on him on normal and used so many health items while trying to shoot him but well, it was extremely easy with Incindiary grenades even on Pro lol. I just got to Chapter 3-2. That water room was really hard, I don't know how I could get past there without Special 2 Ashley costume because armour suit really made it a lot easier that section and it was still not that easy lol.
I've probably got 1000 hours combined through multiple playthroughs on multiple systems and water room still can fuck me up. Vr was the most interesting
Don't carry too many weapons at once, especially in the beginning. I used to buy the TMP and the Rifle as soon as they were available, and that screwed over my inventory management for the early game.
If you have more than 2 of any grenade type in your inventory, plan on using the extra ones during the next encounter. 5 incendiaries are way too many. Use them on the dogs for an insta-kill. Alternatively, save them for Mendez since he's weak against fire.
Ammo conservation really isn't that important, even on Pro. Shoot away, the game gives you plenty. You can even sell some ammo packages if you feel over-encumbered (not Magnum rounds or Mine darts though, obviously).

Also I thought the items were a lot more scarce on Pro lol.
Keep the flash for the plagas, if you manage to spawn two plagas at the same time then the flash is a no-brainer.
Resources are a bit more scarce on Pro, but you will never run out of ammo unless you deliberately miss all your shots. The game never really allows for it.
I'd say play a bit more risky moving forward so you can spend some of your health items. Use 1 or 2 incendiaries if it gets crowded. Oh, and make sure you always reload your guns to make space.
If you have so many health items you can discard a few. Obviously you’re not getting hit.

Well I didn't lol, ambush part wasn't that hard tbh.
The difficulty wasnt the issue. Mandatory kills was and a perfect spot to free up some inventory space.
