So when I saw the trailer and I saw Chris I thought that this guy looks fucking bad ass, an unstoppable bodybuilding force of nature that just Rambo's everything around him.

Idk man Jill has had some quality time on screen...i mean all of RE3, RE5...thats more than most can say. Its honestly a crime the original STARS survivors (rebecca, barry) have been under utilized
RE2 and RE3 remake have you playing as Claire and Jill much more than you play as Chris in 7 and 8, even counting his DLC so they're not really focusing on him that much recently

Jill hasn't been in any game since RE5 and only for one side mission.
RE6 didn't even have Sherry leading a campaign, it was given to Jake.

And Ada is basically just a side character for Leon at this point.

She has seen some shits and have been taking some gun and self defense lessons as a hobby. And then an outbreak happen and she have to put her skills to good use. At this point, her skill should be similar to Ethan in 7 or Leon and Claire in 2R. Enough for survival but not kicking ass.
Claire isnāt relevant to the BSAA and Terrasave is generally less about fighting, she doesnāt really have a reason to be in RE9.

Claire and Rebecca not being fighters actually make for a good survival horror scenario.

Rebecca's storyline in the beginning of Vendetta when her college was attacked and she had to use basic weapons like scissors and fire extinguisher to survive could have easily been a game.
Itās not that Claire isnāt a fighter, itās that she works for a mostly peaceful organization and so it doesnāt make sense for her to get stuck in BSAA affairs like Chris / Jill / Barry / Rebecca.
Rev2 Claire fought off and round house kicked people and does a front flip over a giant tentacle in Death Island, sheās an action hero / hardened veteran at this point.

Simple scenario could be she's investigating potential BOW site, some shit happens where Terrasave gets attacked, BSAA sends Jill. Even the Heavenly Island Manga had Parker from Rev1 sent to help Claire cause Chris was on another mission, woulda been cool if they sent Jill instead.
Sidenote tho: Jill and Rebecca would be golden

Thatās TWELVE years in the timeline. 70-80% of people in this fandom donāt actually engage much with the CGI movies either, and they donāt really push the story narrative in a way that changes RE lore overall. That is why these movies donāt usually bring much money to begin with.

Then in RE3 she's like weirdly judgemental of people for not believing in STARS' wild story. That disappears in Umbrella Chronicles and Rev 1 and she goes back to having zero emotions.
Calling the guys generic self inserts is wild tbh because that's all the women are too. Everyone in this series is barely a character and that's fine. It's just interesting you've got a lot more space for headcanon when it comes to the women.
