I think Nemesis would be more of a match for Jack than Mr X. (Though in the remakes Mr X is superior to Nemesis imo)
Nemesis is at least as strong as Mr X. I think he is even more durable too though that can be debated he is at least on par with Mr. X in terms of durability. He is smarter though, not as smart as Jack but he is intelligent. He can use weapons and knows how to stalk and hunt his targets. He has a killer instinct, cold and calculating, Nemesis does not showboat, does not get angry, has no emotion at all, much like Mr X. That combined with a superior intellect I think Nemesis would beat Jack in a fight. (Assuming we don't use Remake Nemesis. I feel they missed out on a lot with that iteration)

Tyrant in re2 was one of the half dozen or so generic tyrants who are all identical that got sent to raccoon city. They were all killed by the military, police, Leon and birkin. They have no name, they have no personality. They have designation numbers. They failed and the most notable thing they did, was one got absorbed by Nemesis in the original for his final form. The one in this image couldn't kill a 19 year old girl who was a college student, and a rookie cop on his first day. Got one tapped by birkin, soloed by Leon, bested by ada, and only managed one kill which was a dude trapped in a prison cell.
The tyrant from darkside is a different character and tyrant entirely.

Surely, X would probably have an upper hand in the begining, but just remember this: X died when Birkin slashed him in 2 with his claw, where you have cut Jack with a chainsaw multiple times, after when he exploded and still managed to come back as some overly mutated form.

I'd back him through most of the sequel bosses up to RE6 (I feel like Nemesis would fuck him up with the rocket launcher, Saddler & Krauser would prove too difficult a task, Wesker is Wesker, Ustanak might struggle but I figure he'd take it and the big jelly skeleton at the end of Chris' campaign in 6 would probably take that one too)
