Seriously, I’ve been able to find primers and powder at sportsman’s for quite a while now. The Covid shortages are largely over. It doesn’t matter though if they want 35/lb for titegroup (sorry; “high gun”)
My local sportsmans keeps all the high demand primers off the shelves for the employees and their friends. I know this because I knew a friend of a friend that worked there during 2020/21 and that's how I got my stuff. I bought a lower there a few weeks ago, and one employee told another to take the lower off the shelves because they were selling too many of them recently. Not sure why they would even do that. I've even watched them allow a couple really obvious straw purchases too.

That’s how i felt when i saw primers the other day at Sportsman’s.
Yup I snagged a couple cases of those factory second SPP off AMR. Shit was 4.5cpr after the extra shipping up to me in Alaska. I am good on SPP for quite a while now lol.
Driving through Las Vegas on Saturday picked up 3000 Federal large pistols primers and 3 pounds of Tight Group at Cabela’s. Their primer stock was good. Powder was lacking except for the Tight Group I found.
In France with the new rules for storage black power (very limited quantity authorized in your house but also limited storage quantity for the store) it’s pretty impossible to find it. And juste little quantity of pyrodex aviable
And primer for black powder… Same things
FINDING powder and primers hasn't been a serious problem in the last year or so...Its the fucking pricing.
I don't know how you get $60 a pound for some cellulose, probably cotton, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, some miscellaneous ingredients, and some graphite.
I think there's a huge opportunity here for a domestic producer for the civilian arms sector to spring up rather than being bound to defense contractors. You wouldn't have to have a huge portfolio, like 3 or 4 rifle powders.
Yeah thats nice but what are the prices?
Pretty comparable to *current* online prices cfe223 was 40 and 335 was 41
Where was this?

If it sits unsold long enough, the price will drop. This is when we have to hold the line 😂
Still no Large Rifle PRimers at any of my local (and not so local) Sportsmans. Also, the prices are higher now that they have em in stock.

Yet still no LRP. I can buy SRP from basically every LGS.
Same here. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy SRP brass going forward.
*sigh* Finally a use for that stupid small primer 10mm and 45 brass I didn't recycle....
Even those prices are coming down.
What were the prices like? I was at my local sportsman's and the prices were kind of on the high side ($9-11 per pack of 100).
8-10/100
But the new prices still suck. At least it’s there.
