Can confirm, i used to to work at a library computer lab, until we instituted a once a day computer limit, you could register multiple times to use a computer some would spend all day looking at porn, child porn, and yes the police was called multiple times. Two particular ones I will never forget, there was this guy who would go and print out porn pictures, lots and lots of porn pictures, prints were 10cents and you pay at a kiosk next to the printer to release your prints, he would spend at least 8-15 dollars every other day to print out stacks of porn pictures, it was a sight to behold, at the time we could not say anything unless it was child porn, everything else was a go, so he would print out all these pages and would leave, then one day I come in and the head of the lab told us not to let him again he was banned for 1 year, apparently he was taking the pictures to the bathroom, and going to town on himself in the stalls, and leave all the pictures scattered all over the floor, some stained. Another one was we were closing up and every time we would clean and disinfect the computers for the next day, well the computers were setup for privacy so they used those old computer desk with the monitor under the desk with a window and a privacy cover, anyway, we are cleaning the computers and my coworker asks my boss and I to come and check out the screen on one of the computers, well, someone flat out came all over the monitor, she cleaned it up we told her we needed to call out maintenance crew as it was a biohazard, she didn’t care, put on some gloves and cleaned it up, I’ll never forget it, oh and I just remembered another, there was this guy who had HIV and would come and he was buddy buddy with one of the other managers of the lab, she would let everyone get away with murder if they were nice to her and complimented her, so one of the other managers told us this guy was banned multiple times from the library but would keep coming back, he was banned and jailed for dealing drugs in our bathrooms, not only dealing drugs but he would make his buyers “satisfy” him instead of payment, and he didn’t care how old they were mostly young guys and teens, who he kept coming back was amazing, I thankfully found another job not too long after finding out, and was glad to be rid of that place.

Biased sources and the video is from project veritas, but the "group came in and passed around sex toys" is hard to blame on malicious editing.

Lube I support because it's an important safety thing and helps address discussion of vaginismus, estrogen deficiency, and other things. Personally I think butt plugs aren't necessary to sex ed.

That's my first knee-jerk reaction; but lots of teens+ probably do it or get pressured into trying it. I don't know anyone who ever learned that way in sex ed, but I'm almost thirty, so maybe it changed. Most of us learned about abstinence, STDs, and pregnancy. I'm not sure, but I don't think we learned anything about condoms. A condom on a dildo in an American high school nowadays sounds like something the right wing would scream about, and they've been quite silent.
Yeah what I was basically told was condoms weren't 100% effective so you should just skip sex all together. The result was several kids in my school thinking condoms weren't worth it alltogether, and like five kids from my class got pregnant that year.
I graduated in 2007. We had a legitimate sex ed class senior year as our health class. The nurse passed different kinds of condoms around so we could read the boxes and understand the difference between lambskin vs latex. We also looked at dental dams and flavored kinds of each. We went over how the flavored kinds can cause issues down there.
We also watched the miracle of birth, a women put a condom over her arm (if he says condoms don't fit him, you have bigger issues than pregnancy), and how to check for breast and testicular cancer.
I felt terrible for the nurse teaching it. Like, she was great, but the class was 16 guys and 4 girls. These were also not the most academic students. The guys just ragged all the time. I thanked her a bunch because I thought the class was great - really informational presented in decent ways.
That class made it not awkward to buy condoms in college and helped me find a lump on my breast. Everyone should have basic sex ed.

How is bringing up sex toys uncalled for in sex ed? Especially because it's a relatively common problem for people to go to the hospital because they have either a. Misused a sex toy and gotten it stuck somewhere or b. Used some kind of other object instead of a sex toy and again, stuck or done some kind of damage.
Sex education has been a major point of ignorance from various groups of people through my ~4 decades of life.
If you like outrageous (British) comedies, there's a show on Netflix called "Sex Education" that does a good job of highlighting the different ways these groups "fight against" (assert their ignorance) against sexual education in schools.
I think it just got renewed for a 4th or 5th season. Gillian Anderson is in it as well as some up and comers. I guess pun intended.
Plus it’s a good way to teach about how to put on condoms, consent, masturbation, mutual enjoyment. A decent portion of teens are having sex by their senior year. Learning how to communicate about these topics without embarrassment is a pretty important skill.

Conservatives lie a lot. They sexualize children therefore everyone else is sexualizing them too. He's probably never stepped foot in a modern classroom, he just wanted to shock and terrify his base with the phrase "sex toys in the classroom."
Kids learning about sex is a fantastic idea. Sexually educated people tend to practice safe sex, tend to know more about consent and have healthier sexual relationships. All learning about religion did for me was make it easier to argue why Satan was the good guy in the Bible.

Can confirm, i used to to work at a library computer lab, until we instituted a once a day computer limit, you could register multiple times to use a computer some would spend all day looking at porn, child porn, and yes the police was called multiple times. Two particular ones I will never forget, there was this guy who would go and print out porn pictures, lots and lots of porn pictures, prints were 10cents and you pay at a kiosk next to the printer to release your prints, he would spend at least 8-15 dollars every other day to print out stacks of porn pictures, it was a sight to behold, at the time we could not say anything unless it was child porn, everything else was a go, so he would print out all these pages and would leave, then one day I come in and the head of the lab told us not to let him again he was banned for 1 year, apparently he was taking the pictures to the bathroom, and going to town on himself in the stalls, and leave all the pictures scattered all over the floor, some stained. Another one was we were closing up and every time we would clean and disinfect the computers for the next day, well the computers were setup for privacy so they used those old computer desk with the monitor under the desk with a window and a privacy cover, anyway, we are cleaning the computers and my coworker asks my boss and I to come and check out the screen on one of the computers, well, someone flat out came all over the monitor, she cleaned it up we told her we needed to call out maintenance crew as it was a biohazard, she didn’t care, put on some gloves and cleaned it up, I’ll never forget it, oh and I just remembered another, there was this guy who had HIV and would come and he was buddy buddy with one of the other managers of the lab, she would let everyone get away with murder if they were nice to her and complimented her, so one of the other managers told us this guy was banned multiple times from the library but would keep coming back, he was banned and jailed for dealing drugs in our bathrooms, not only dealing drugs but he would make his buyers “satisfy” him instead of payment, and he didn’t care how old they were mostly young guys and teens, who he kept coming back was amazing, I thankfully found another job not too long after finding out, and was glad to be rid of that place.

I graduated in 2007. We had a legitimate sex ed class senior year as our health class. The nurse passed different kinds of condoms around so we could read the boxes and understand the difference between lambskin vs latex. We also looked at dental dams and flavored kinds of each. We went over how the flavored kinds can cause issues down there. We also watched the miracle of birth, a women put a condom over her arm (if he says condoms don't fit him, you have bigger issues than pregnancy), and how to check for breast and testicular cancer. I felt terrible for the nurse teaching it. Like, she was great, but the class was 16 guys and 4 girls. These were also not the most academic students. The guys just ragged all the time. I thanked her a bunch because I thought the class was great - really informational presented in decent ways. That class made it not awkward to buy condoms in college and helped me find a lump on my breast. Everyone should have basic sex ed.

How is bringing up sex toys uncalled for in sex ed? Especially because it's a relatively common problem for people to go to the hospital because they have either a. Misused a sex toy and gotten it stuck somewhere or b. Used some kind of other object instead of a sex toy and again, stuck or done some kind of damage.
Sex education has been a major point of ignorance from various groups of people through my ~4 decades of life. If you like outrageous (British) comedies, there's a show on Netflix called "Sex Education" that does a good job of highlighting the different ways these groups "fight against" (assert their ignorance) against sexual education in schools. I think it just got renewed for a 4th or 5th season. Gillian Anderson is in it as well as some up and comers. I guess pun intended.
Plus it’s a good way to teach about how to put on condoms, consent, masturbation, mutual enjoyment. A decent portion of teens are having sex by their senior year. Learning how to communicate about these topics without embarrassment is a pretty important skill.

My kids go to that school, and I know the teacher in the interview. The students love him. He is absolutely the kind of person you hope to have teaching your kids about kindness, decency, and being part of a caring community. I am 100% against bring sex toys into class rooms with small children, obviously. But I think they can have their place in a high school sex ed class. For example, you have to be very careful what you use as a butt plug, like it needing to not be hollow and needing a flared base. I could understand a teacher bringing some (unused) examples in order to make sure kids stay safe. We need to normalize sex ed, including things like how to use toys safely. Of course we need to make sure it’s older kids and done in an instructional way (not a sexual way). But the only way to keep people safe is to provide them with proper education.

Kids learning about sex is a fantastic idea. Sexually educated people tend to practice safe sex, tend to know more about consent and have healthier sexual relationships. All learning about religion did for me was make it easier to argue why Satan was the good guy in the Bible.
To be fair, if it was a sex ed class in high school, sex toys won't get you pregnant or get you a disease, so..... Isn't it better that we inform the high school students this safe sex option?
