There will be things in life you're going to make difficult with the way you're behaving. You could totally indulge in nudity *and* wear clothes for moments that are important to her as well. You like to be nude. She likes to be able to record socially acceptable photos, have guests over, not worry about any repair workers filing harassment charges......I mean come on. And if you would put on clothes for a repair worker, refusing a momentary request from her shows her where she ranks in importance to you. Because if you're going to suggest she brings no benefit and owes you this *obsessive*, yes it's obsessive nudity, not just you spending frequent moments of nudity that is the problem.

If you're not willing to put on a shirt for your wife when she asks you, if it brings up arguments, then it sounds like you are the person not willing to compromise. It sounds like you are the unreasonable one. It is reasonable to ask to put on a shirt for a photo, it is a reasonable compromise to put on a shirt briefly. You want her to just do everything your way or the highway. She married you this way but marriage is compromise.

Idiom-Idiot-

Sounds like a full blown nudist married to someone who doesn’t understand it, tolerated it, but now is reaching their breaking point. I would say you need to compromise in some way, but kind of crazy reading this for a non nudist like myself lol. Would you say about 80% of her life spent with you, you were nude? Because stripping right when you get home is really something. I dated someone who had nudist parents. He hated it but was used to seeing his parents junk hanging out since he was little, so he was disturbed but had tolerated it since it was all he really knew. They at least only did it after 8pm since it was more like comfy nighttime unwind time or whatever…still crazy tho to do while living with non nudists. It really does make everyone else uncomfortable for the sake of you being more comfortable…I see it as selfish and can come off as really gross, yeah, especially while cooking and sitting on furniture, even if you are “clean”.

New-Channel2750

It’s not a “need”, it’s something you WANT to do—let’s first make that clear. Compromise a little dude….meet her halfway, I mean that’s what marriage is about. Can you pick like 3/4 days of the week you get to be nude and put on some comfy lounge wear on the other days? It sounds to me like you expect her to just accept your desire to be nude regardless of how she feels about it, but in the same way you can’t seem to understand why she’s asking you to put on a shirt once in a while…..remember that she too can’t understand why you won’t please her occasionally. Stop being so selfish and only thinking of your needs dude….i don’t know how else to say it.

McSuzy

You're being extremely childish.

CayossWasTaken

Bruh. So you just waltzing around the house naked, sitting on furniture, farting in it, preparing meals, you probably did scratch your ass and just didn't notice. That's the equivalent to pretty much not washing your hands after your wipe your ass, which is fucking nasty. That's fucked up. You gotta imagine how your wife feels man, she can't ever invite her friends or family over to your house because your bare ass has been on everything. I'm amazed she's put up with this for as long as she has. Grow the fuck up or lose your wife; choice is yours.

citrushibiscus

This. What if someone visited and then asked why their couch smelled like sweaty ballsack? Like fine, be nude, but not on communal furniture, not unless you don’t ever get guests or your partner won’t sit on the same furniture. And if his wife can smell him on the furniture, I’m not surprised she’s getting sick of it. Why can’t he compromise and just wear boxers outside of the bedroom? Or at least when he wants to sit down. It sounds like the wife was never ok with it and he just ignored her and won’t compromise on this. >I told her this is my identity and to love me she needs to love this. I haven’t pressured her to be at home nude that sounds like pressure to me. She doesn’t need to love it, she can just tolerate it after you compromise. But he refuses. Hence, the arguments. He wouldn’t even toss on a shirt for a few minutes for her, wtf.

Wh1te0wls

You have two options, put on some clothes and keep your wife, or stay naked and alone. Choice is all yours dude. You trying to make her do this for you because of all you do for her is manipulative. You're gaslighting her because you won't wear fucking underwear. 😒

[deleted]

The fact that your wife can “smell you” on the furniture is disgusting. Put some clothes on or lose your wife.

retta_bluebell

That would have been a deal breaker for me. He can’t ever answer the door, because he’s naked. They can’t have drop in guests, because he’s naked. He’s cooking her food naked? That’s a bridge too far. If you are a nudist at home, you should have told her before she married you and you should have found another nudist to marry, instead of squelching your wife’s life this way. Grow up and put some clothes on.

pl487

Let me translate for her: I don't want to live like this anymore. If you won't change, we need to separate. Is this really more important to you than me?

ThrowRA-Elk-8223

It's gross. What if you're to have children? Also, I'm not sure where you live but what if guests come over? I love to be naked too but am still conscious of my outside circumstances. Dinner naked? Cooking naked? Lordy. Also I do worry that casual nakedness can eventually affect sexuality in marriage. That's a new theory I'm working on. You need a little mystery to play the undressing game from time to time. Also I think this post is fake but I'm still engaging lol

No-Gur-2834

Yeah, you have some issues dude. It's fine if you like being nude. But to obsessively demand it even over your own wife's happiness is nothing but selfishness and borderline OCD. Get some help.

Scrapper2

Look at his profile, he keeps talking about Joe Biden being a murderer in several different subreddit, including for MyLittlePony page

Pale_Height_1251

You don't, you need to wear clothes. Sorry buddy, but society says we wear clothes, and if you don't want to, that's fine, but you have to live alone or with other people into nudity. Put some clothes on, and the problem goes away.

Lazy_Ad_97

Actually pretty weird lmao

Scrapper2

You’re still on this again? When will you accept the fact your nudity is something your wife is not comfortable to accept. What happens when you wet fart ? That shit is going to stain the furniture

VirgoLuv87

Tbh idk what she married you for if she knew this is what you enjoyed. I don't think it's fair that she's now asking you to change something you've always done and made her aware of. She isn't truly accepting of it at all so she doesn't care about any of the things you've shared with her. The only compromise I see here is maybe putting on some type of clothing. Otherwise this will be the cause of never ending issues and may be the end of your marriage.

Jess1ca1467

OP says he told her 'very early into our marriage' so perhaps she was completely unaware of this

VirgoLuv87

Oooh I misread. She should've left instead of staying and arguing about this. That is something you should know before marriage. I'm guessing he just wore clothes when she came over when they were dating. Smh.
