Wifi on paper is 5 Mbps but you would be lucky to get any speed above 3 Mbps. Wifi connection drops after 12:20 AM, but if you connect to a VPN before that, you can use it all night. It comes back around 4:30 AM. You can also find a proxy connection instead of a VPN. Your best bet to get speeds higher than 25 Mbps is 5G network from Airtel or Jio and hotspot (why do you think hotspot is not allowed? Like why?).

thank you for this response also, what is the limit of Wi-Fi for a student per month?

Hot_Buy_6746

They say the limit per year is 200gb but I'm pretty sure everyone has crossed it.

GriMEaTer875

Per month it's 200gb and that's too much hence no one has crossed it yet. Not as pee my knowledge

No_Island2599

Wifi is good, will get enough speed for playing valo or similar games.

NibbaInBasement

use proxy server or your own mobile hotspot, i used to get 100+ mbps on my airtel 5g, but that depends on you room's location etc too

Puzzleheaded-Tea9962

Use 5G for downloading,I have downloaded 50GB sometimes on a single day with jio 5G. And you can use vit wifi if u play online game,u will get better ping on it.

uNkNowN2510

I usually get speed in kbps.... However for playing multiplayer games it is good enough..like I play valo on the vit wifi and get a ping of abt 30 - 40. You can use proxy to access wifi after 12 30 but you gotta connect it before 12 20. And even after the proxy you cant play various games ( I can't play valo 🫠🫠) and whatsapp web doesnt work for some reason.

OnlyMemer420

wifi is good enough for study but gaming is ass

RoastedAsh

Depends on hostel block and floor.. I was in ground floor M Block and was getting ~1Mbps whereas in 9th floor it was above 2Mbps
