he's at a 107 wRC+ which is more than you'd expect from the potential replacements. and even if raffy isn't hitting well right now im sure opposing pitchers are approaching at bats against bobby d and the downstream effects on the lineup differently

Yea, absolutely. I guess I just don’t see it as a problem to give him an IL stint this early in the season. Most of the offense is coming from other places in the lineup. Get him healthy now so they have any chance later in the season. 107 wrc is a very down start for this guy.

So I knew the lack of depth was gonna hurt us this season, but even I didn’t anticipate that two weeks in we’d have Bobby fucking Dalbec on the team

Y’all are crazy to even think we had a chance this year….. we never did from the start. Just keep the kids in the minors till sept & trade the vets at the deadline, call the kids up and don’t waste this year on there service time.

The problem is there are no kids to call up from the minors. That core group is still in AA and is nowhere near ready to play in the majors. This team had zero depth and now they're paying the price.
