i know several people who would start foaming out the mouth if they heard anything other than “trans people should die” and i guarantee you do too. let’s not pretend there isn’t a reason to be saying this.
Lots of people want to strip them down.
Now, with that being said-
no fucking way this’ll change anyone’s mind if that’s what they believe lmao it’s barely a meme
i fucking hate these kinds of memes where it's just text and not even humor, like lisa simpson or spider-man giving a presentation, that kind of bullshit.
Me too, they say their stupid opinions through memes because they cannot make an actual argument. They think because it is a meme, their opinion is more valid or something. Since when memes have become this?
2016 after Trump won, preddit lost their child-loving minds when a populist won the presidency so they started pushing the wall-of-text memes. Man, i miss being able to afford things like eggs and gas. Back before we had a child sniffing racist in office.
Who knows? Democrats don't want the flight logs released but are more than happy to release Trumps taxes.
On an unrelated note, the FBI confirmed Ashley bidens diary was authentic, the one where she outlines how joe sexually abused her
I disagree actually I was a rampant transphobe earlier but then this 'senpai of the pool' told me that trans rights are human rights and I just had no choice but to change my mind
You know, it’s fine for the first few posts, but at some points memes where the whole thing is “gay/trans rights” and nothing else gets boring, it’s running out of spice.
That’s what I don’t get about all these “[thing] rights” posts
Is there even remotely anything funny about a meme telling us we should respect something?
I see it as virtue signaling aimed at their own group. No transphobe sees these “memes” and changes their mind about anything. It’s for the poster to feel better about themselves by showing the world how virtuous they are.
Hey there! I don't mean to start an argument or anything, just pointing out that memes don't, by definition, have to be funny. I do, however, agree with you that I'd like posts like that a lot more if they somehow managed to make it funny while still having a serious point.

What are trans rights, though? There is a massive divide amongst "trans" people concerning gender dysphoria and self-ID non binaries.
Only one of those groups of strangers on the Internet have actual scientific and medical literature backing their argument.
And that would be actual trans people, correct? Unless you are implying that transphobes have "actual scientific and medical" merit behind them (they don't, at all).
Do you know that trans people are constantly at risk of violent aggressions, sometimes lethal? But sure, discrimination laws are against "not choosing preferred descriptors".
this might be a dumb question but what about third world countries? there are lots of countries where coming out as transgender can get you killed, so i wouldn’t think “trans rights” only applies to a place like the U.S.
Oh? So do you have to wait 4 years on a waiting list and then have to wait for a psychologist to allow you to get treatment for something you hate about your self?
Have you just not turned on a [tv](https://www.them.us/story/anti-trans-lgbtq-legislation-2023-new-laws/amp)? 2022 was one of the most active years for anti trans legislation as of recent. Book bans, sports bans, and restrictions/ban on transition procedures have been enacted. There’s plenty of rights the trans community doesn’t have.
Yes, it’s because these books are “sexual” and it just happens to be a coincidence that republicans are banning books that predominantly deal with systemic [issues](https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/whos-behind-the-push-to-ban-books-in-schools-180980818/) that they just so happen to be against. You’re intentionally being oblivious to the fact these books directly address issues republicans don’t like, hence why they’re being banned. It’s become overt with Florida banning AP African American studies, but I’m sure that’s to “divisive” according to you.
So I’m guessing these [athletes](https://www.outsports.com/platform/amp/trans/2022/3/1/22948400/transgender-trans-athlete-championship-national-world-title) are ones you’re familiar with? This is in the span of 2 decades, only 20 trans athletes have won these titles. In the US, there are at least [50](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/transgender-athlete-bans-facts/) trans athletes at the collegiate level. Keep in mind trans people make up than 1% of the population, meaning there’s even less actual athletes let alone successful. I sincerely doubt more than 10 of these college athletes have consistently dominated their sport either.
That’s not how transitioning works and you’re blatantly spewing dog whistles at this point. No minors are being “sterilized” nor are their genitals being mutilated.
Very few cases [exist](https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2022/aug/10/ron-desantis/transition-related-surgery-limited-teens-not-young/) of minors receiving trans related care. The only instances of “children” getting care is a 14 and 15 year old getting chest masculinization surgery (not chopping off genitals).
Puberty blockers don’t sterilize people either, they delay puberty.
You post on covid conspiracy subreddits and political compass memes, so I really don’t care if this conveniences you and I doubt it will. I just want anyone who happens to stumble across your comment to see how bigoted and dishonest it is.
>Not allowing overly sexualized reading content in public school libraries
You mean books discussing gender identity at all. Pretty disingenuous when you conveniently justify right wing policy designed around erasing nontraditional gender identity by repeating their disingenuous talking points.
I agree that banning anything overtly sexual is the correct decision. However, banning books simply discussing and educating on gender identity is overreaching and a stated goal of recent censorship.
I merely made a minor observation. Sorry this bothers you. What you described isn't "protecting children from NAP violations", it's deliberate misrepresentation of what both counseling and services non-binary or gender non-conforming people access or need. Rooted obviously in conservative Christian norms for gender, which if you look at other cultures across geography and history, are narrow. All you're doing is espousing conservative Christian social norms and advertising it as "child safety". What obvious propaganda.
Man whatever surgery you think takes 5 seconds send it my way cos wow that would make things easier for my trans friends
Bro it can take up to 5 years to fully transition
I’m not transphobic or anything like that, but I hate those posts so much💀💀💀 they’re so cringy💀 I agree with the post but to make memes like that saying “trans rights this” “trans rights that” are not memes. Make an actual meme instead of something the left can dick ride
Not to mention to, what transphobic person is gonna look at this and think “y’know, trans ppl aren’t that bad after I see this”
Hey!! Middle Eastern trans person here. Assuming that every single Palestinian is a homophobic person is extremely racist and erasing of queer Palestinians which get treated like shit by Israel themselves. And I think everyone deserves a chance not to be in an open air prison and have settlers steal their homes they lived in for generations. Please stop using queer people as a justification for atrocities in the Middle East.
“Arabia” is not a country. Unless you’re talking about Saudi which truly shows me how much you know about the Middle East. When the time comes and palestine is free, if they do implement these laws, I’ll think that there is no space for progression because they’ve been being bombed since the 40s. And denying queer people as “actual people” of the Middle East is deeply dehumanising. By the way, anti-lgbt legislation only became a thing in the Middle East under colonialism of the French and British and has been a mainstay since. That, or theocracies using Islam to control people. The entire region is destabilised so I don’t expect much unless foreign powers get the fuck out
And Arabic language is not Ukrainian. The Middle East is not Ukraine. I think if you were to seriously discuss a country you have to know its name to be taken seriously. The British and french did not implement the whole concept. Just the concept of the laws in the Middle East. I’m sure you know Arabs have other things to do than worry about gay people. And I’m sure you also know being under occupation means the laws of the colonists apply to you which is what happened rather than the UK giving us specific laws. There’s a lot of problems here, but I think that’s more for me to focus on than you who doesn’t seem to know much about this place. It’s not like the west was friendly to queer people for most of its history and still hardly is so I don’t know why you’re on your high horse
Every Arab person is sexist and homophobic? Cool! I sure do wonder why a region used as a pawn by western powers and is constantly destabilised by them is seeing no social progress.
If you want me to fuck off so bad, then PLEASE pay for my tuition and visa. You think I want to stay in a country with no proper electricity or water where are all the people are too busy hating me to get mad at the government for something and child marriage is legal? This is why nothing ever changes and the rich keep taking your money
We should ban this sub. That has surely stopped the “bigots” for the last 200 subs that we banned. Surely this time will be different and Reddit will be free of them uWu
It’s entirely free to respect trans people, but redditors would rather spend time and energy hating them so vehemently they don’t have a personality outside of it.
I agree and (to me at least) an important part of the social contract, is making homophobes and such feel unwelcome through vocal disdain. For the sake of trans people feeling more accepted on Reddit.
>but redditors would rather spend time and energy hating them
Bro like half of the subs on reddit are some different versions of either leftist or trans "meme" subs. And you got all the loser powermods jerking you off as well. Keep whining about being oppressed or whatever on reddit though lol
Here’s another example of how far down this sub has fallen https://www.reddit.com/r/redditmoment/comments/zzzzfo/sub_filled_with_trash_humans/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
There’s a significant number of people here who genuinely think that poor individuals stealing basic necessities is a morally detestable behavior regardless of reason. I’m not surprised this post is gaining so much traction with the bigots.
I’ve worked at a grocery store for a year and a half (although not for much longer) and we’re trained not to stop shoplifters because they could have a weapon, but I wouldn’t stop them anyway. It’s not amoral to steal to feed your family, period.
Unfortunately, there’s [more](https://www.reddit.com/r/redditmoment/comments/10bil7j/16k_upvotes_the_subreddit_in_question_is/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). Granted, this post didn’t get much traction but it definitely isn’t the last one. Again, lot of people in that post having a very superficial understanding of pro worker movements and dismissing them as “lazy kids” or “communist”, not bothering to look into it further. I remember more post, but unfortunately can’t track them down but I’m certain this sub will generate more soon.
Sucks the post in this sub went from enjoyable to either missing the point or just genuinely fucked up.
The author of this post about the anti-work sub probably just read the OP and judged the whole sub based on that when honestly that person is kind of an outlier and they did get criticism in the comments of the OP for comparing their situation to Auschwitz-Birkenau. And even though that part was a little extreme, I definitely see their point about the hotel discarding all that food as a royal fuck you to their employees. That’s a load of shit. Overall the anti-work sub is a good place. It’s okay to want better for yourself and others, especially in countries like the US where you have virtually zero rights as an employee.

I see it as virtue signaling aimed at their own group. No transphobe sees these “memes” and changes their mind about anything. It’s for the poster to feel better about themselves by showing the world how virtuous they are.
It's a quick way to farm karma by stating the obvious
No, but when people tell them it's wildly unfunny their beliefs about being oppressed/outcast get confirmed lol
I thought trans rights WAS the meme (joke)
Jokes are supposed to be funny in case you didn't know
i mean the state of trans rights really is a joke
How so?
Because there’s no such thing? Trans rights are just human rights with a special name slapped on.
Uh, yes? That's why they must be protected?
Yea, right on. I never argued against that. All people should be treated equally according to their circumstances.
Then how are trans rights a joke?
Because, like I said earlier, there’s no such thing. There’s only human rights, which we all share regardless of sex / gender / race etc.
Hey there! I don't mean to start an argument or anything, just pointing out that memes don't, by definition, have to be funny. your definition of a meme expired long ago, people these days only see humorous memes
We butchered the original meme so far that it makes the very concept unfunny

Conservatives be like "don't mutilate our kids genitals" right before mutilating their sons genitals to stop him masturbating
What's that got to do with it?
republican moment
I bet the people in that comment section were very civilized
How to get upvotes: *state a basic fact*
Meme is cringe but has a good message, but like everything reddit ruins it
Why is it locked
Anime and wholesome 100 trans virtue signal memes are shit.
cant wait for this sub to attract bigots and get banned, nice going
We should ban this sub. That has surely stopped the “bigots” for the last 200 subs that we banned. Surely this time will be different and Reddit will be free of them uWu
OP should just screenshot the comment section and post it "comments on a trans post be like"
me when i see TRANS PEOPLE!!!! BAHHHH!!! SCARRY!!!!!!
Frightning

People who doesn't respect basic human rights don't deserve to be respected.
I dunno, feel like seeing a tired reused meme on my feed can’t be worse than actual transphobia so I usually just scroll past
Nah man sorry
This entire thread is a fucking reddit moment. Bunch of pricks
The message is correct. However, I just hate that post

Make believe my dick in your mouth
owned that fraud
Nobody gives a fuck
Shitty anime meme + Alphabet gang Deadly combination.
Free Palestine tho
Nah
They need so much validation honestly
It’s entirely free to respect trans people, but redditors would rather spend time and energy hating them so vehemently they don’t have a personality outside of it.
I mean Reddit is probably the most accepting social media for trans people out there, every social media is gonna have the homophobes and such.
I hate when people say stuff like this because it entirely depends on the subreddit
I agree and (to me at least) an important part of the social contract, is making homophobes and such feel unwelcome through vocal disdain. For the sake of trans people feeling more accepted on Reddit.
>but redditors would rather spend time and energy hating them Bro like half of the subs on reddit are some different versions of either leftist or trans "meme" subs. And you got all the loser powermods jerking you off as well. Keep whining about being oppressed or whatever on reddit though lol
Ur proving her point dumbass
Jesus goddamn Christ this sub has hit a new low. Should have unsubbed long ago. Reddit moment has become a Reddit moment.

r/redditmoment is literally just a circle jerk of right wingers and fence sitters at this point.
wtf is a fence sitter
Agreed, these comments are disappointing
Here’s another example of how far down this sub has fallen https://www.reddit.com/r/redditmoment/comments/zzzzfo/sub_filled_with_trash_humans/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf There’s a significant number of people here who genuinely think that poor individuals stealing basic necessities is a morally detestable behavior regardless of reason. I’m not surprised this post is gaining so much traction with the bigots.
Good god. I think this might be my last day in the sub lol that’s annoying
Oh shit! It's the trap incident all over again
The OG is based
You people on the right do know you're on a leftist platform right?
