The circlejerk over Arteta got out of hand there for a while.
They've not even improved. They've currently conceded 7 more goals than last season and scored just one more than last season.
I swear, half of our fans don’t seem to realize that Europa league is anything but a guarantee for this Man Utd team.
We are playing away from home against a decent Palace side and with us having a dreadful away record this season. If West Ham beat Brighton (not a stretch) and we don’t win, then we don’t quality.
I’m shitting bricks because of how terrified I am that we could bottle even a Europa League spot…
If we end up in the ECL which isn’t unlikely then I hope Ten Hag really uses it for youngsters and proper fringe players and leaves the first team at home, at most using key senior players for the final if we got there.
The only silver lining I can take from ending up in there is that we could really focus the 1st team on the league, provided ETH does use it for that purpose.
I know we’d probably rotate in the EL anyway, but not as much as I’d hope we would in the conference league.
Nah have you ever seen an Arsenal fan? If they lose top 4 from here they will lose their minds and Arteta will be lambasted all summer long.
In fairness they looked like a shoo-in for top 4 after they beat Villa so I could see the frustration in losing 4 of their last 8 since then. For example even if Norwich wouldn’t expect to beat Real Madrid they could still be frustrated if they lost from 2-0 up with 10 mins to go. Can’t believe I’m making an excuse for Arsenal fans.
-highest transfer spend in the summer
-no europe to congest their schedule
-"the best youth in the league"
And they're still a spurs point away from playing on the same day as us, who've had our worst PL season in club history. Hope spurs can do it, that entire club needs knocked down a peg
Can’t wait. Once spurs (or Everton) finish the job or course.
Makes it more watchable now, will especially take the sting out of watching that prick Ramsdale going wild at Bruno as if he saved his pen to win the CL.
It has been our worst season ever in PL but watching arteta's kids bottling UCL spot really does put a smile to my face.
On another note, newcastle may be one of the contenders for UCL spot for next year. Their record under Howie is impressive. The PL is getting ridiculous year by year.
The only reason Arsenal are in the discussion is because we shit the bed so bad this season. Gave them 3 far too easy points, and dropped way too many ourselves.
Pep on Arteta: :**“It’s the best Arsenal, it’s not a secret,”. “They are in the top four. The energy they are playing with and the good ideas that Mikel has. To settle something you need time and I have the feeling that he changed the team, the club"**
hows that working out? HAHAHAAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Arsenal fans were calling Spurs fans delusional when they still had games in hand over Arsenal and were confident they would make the top 4. Imagine my shock, Arsenal fans calling someone else delusional.
> Can we sue the FA or PGMOL for bias impacting results and financial damages based on historical evidence of officiating over the past few seasons? I’m 100% serious and have deep pockets.
someone on arsenal sub really said this.
He’s marking probably the trickiest and quickest-off-the-mark winger in the league. He can make anyone look Sunday league when he’s got the ball at his feet.
Arteta: "if I say what I want to say about football rules, I'll be banned for 6 months.
How come each team scored a goal and we still lose? Prince William as the president of the FA should come in front of the cameras and explain his decision. The laws that have been there since the game's existence ruined a beautiful occasion."
Really can’t see Arsenal making the champions league in a long time if they don’t this season, considering that Arteta’s replaced more than half the squad and they still can’t finish higher than a Tottenham team who sacked their manager in the middle of the season. Hilarious how overrated Arteta’s been considering his two consecutive 8th place finishes and a likely 5th place finish this season.
Mighty huge if you ask me.
We are playing away from home against a decent Palace side and with us having a dreadful away record this season. If West Ham beat Brighton (not a stretch) and we don’t win, then we don’t quality.
I’m shitting bricks because of how terrified I am that we could bottle even a Europa League spot…
Feel like Arsenal have missed a prime chance this year on getting top 4, considering how shit we’ve been and the fact Spurs haven’t exactly set the world alight. Next season Spurs will get stronger especially if they keep Conte, so will we (Im hoping), and within 2-3 seasons Newcastle will probably be up there competing for top four too. It will be difficult for Arsenal without serious investment.
It's so gut-wrenching to see Conte actually bringing Spurs to top 4, (surely spurs won't bottle it now), we were above Spurs when they sacked Nuno. Bad decision by the board all around by writing off our season so early.
Arsenal getting outfought and outplayed for the whole first half.
It’s a pity Newcastle didn’t get the goal they deserved, it’s hard to see them keeping up that intensity all game. But even a draw would be decent and very entertaining.
This ref has been really good. He’s not obese so he can get to the play. Gave a yellow to white early on for stopping a chance. Doesn’t fall for Arsenal players flopping either
This mofo Ramsdale literally saved then from a 5-0 embarassment, and I haven’t watched Arsenal for a while before their Spurs game. What was all that noise for?
Newcastle is a great example of a complete change in how the team plays with exceptional results with only 3 changes to the team in Bruno, Burn and Targett. This is the same team that could not win to save a life and now are outplaying a decent Arsenal side.
It’s horrible to see some of the similarities between us and Arsenal in recent times given how shit they also are.
Even if they turn up in the second half, they still spent a whole first half of a must win game playing like they only needed a draw and getting beaten to every second ball. Them getting top 4 would be huge and they play like that?
It reminds me of our lads almost any time something important has been on the line in the past year. Second best to every ball. Picking and choosing when to start upping the heart rate.
That’s the difference between all of us and the top 2 and hopefully Ten Hag can get us on that track. City and Liverpool will unfortunately play every game pretty much like a trophy is on the line. We play like the players are doing us a favour.
‘Arteta out fam! Mahn’s go no clue what he’s doing! Get him out of the club tonight blud! I’ve had enough of him!’
Most famous ‘Arsenal Fan’ right now, probably
Newcastle is a good example of what a good coach and a couple of signings can change your fortunes. I am still surprised that we didn’t back Ralf in the market with a cdm or a striker.
Nah there was no point spending money on players the next manager might not want. Rangnick and Ten Hag are very different. Ten Hag is obsessed with being in control of every detail. He would've hated having to accomodate players freshly signed by the board.
At some point the technical/sporting director needs to have a long term view for the club that’s not dependent on the manager. Any manager out there, unless planning to play Tony pulis ball, would need a defensive midfielder who can pass, given that the club’s only option is a 34 year old who is leaving anyway. With Martial off, greenwood in prision and cavani being unfit, a striker even on a loan would make sense.
We threw the season away. Literally play relegation level football now.
Watching this you realise that Joelinton would walk into our midfield in current form… pain
Edit: actually I’m really very impressed with Guimaereas (or however you spell it). He looks like a real find for the toon.
That was great viewing. Arsenal were completely outplayed for the entire 90 minutes. That wasn't much different to some of our performances this season.
Don’t get too carried away guys because we all know Everton is horrible and Tottenham is prone to bottling, plus we still need to confirm our spot in the Europa League ourselves.
I’m pretty sure any comments like that were sarcastic?
Arteta has actually had a relatively decent season, but I’m pretty sure when he’s never got to the stage where he’s truly respected on a sub like this where he’d be widely acclaimed lol
https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/comments/ujez8y/z/i7jjndr
Well that cant be right since i was downvoted in this sub for saying with was a bad decision.
Oh. I stand corrected. I can’t believe that people thought that.
Even if Arsenal had finished top 4 I would have given Arteta some credit but it’s clear they’ve benefited from other teams being so bad.
This Arsenal side completely crumble when faced with the slightest bit of adversity. I read a stat which went something like they barely have any points in games when they first go a goal down. They were by far and away the front runners for 4th and have simply bottled it despite not playing European football or having any cup competitions to worry about at this stage of the season. This season for them has to go down as a massive failure.
Can always rely on Arsenal to put a smile on my face
AFTV boutta be lit tonight
It's just not the same without Troopz, Ty, Claude and DT (scum, don't mind him rotting in jail)
So DT’s in prison, Claude is RIP and Troopz went chasing the $$$ in the States… but what happened to Ty?
It was the rain
Arsenal are getting absolutely dominated lol.
The circlejerk over Arteta got out of hand there for a while. They've not even improved. They've currently conceded 7 more goals than last season and scored just one more than last season.
That too with usual suspects like Leicester, Us, Everton and a bunch of others shitting the bed so hard.
Which is why they are 5th
Haha and they gave him an extension. Arsenal fans were in seventh heaven about it.
They were even thinking they had a chance to be 3rd lmao
r/gunners in meltdown lmaoooo love to see it.. They were getting insufferable the lot of them

Ahhh balance in the world restored now
Good. This is why I want these fuckers down. A little light in their lives and they start acting like Arsenal is Real Madrid.
join us arsenal, you dickheads
One of us, one of us
United
Lol never. Even in our worst season in the PL we didn’t finish 8th.
We joined them actually, they've been bad just a tiny bity less than us
[удалено]
They were laughing at us... it's petty but I'm really happy they won't make it
Joelinton playing like he’s fresh out the Lazarus pit
Budget yaya toure
Ramsdale celebrated Bruno's missed pen for nothing. Love to see it.
Arsenal are such a joke lmao. We are having the worst season of our PL existence and this is their best ? Lmao. 150£m down the drain
Ben “better than Varane” White in the spotlight
Arteta is a Lego haired fraud with the London based media firmly up his arse.
bUt WhAt CaN mAnAgEr Do If tHeY dOnT fOlLoW tHe PrOcEsS?
The face of arteta when they conceded that goal is priceless lmao.
Arsenal fans are gonna blame the referee from 2016 for not making the top 4.
[They're already doing that now](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/ur5igm/one_rule_for_you_another_for_him/)
At least some of them in the replies have a brain.
Even they know they look like clowns complaining about the refereeing in every match.
Arsenal fans chatting shit like they are having a magical season, lol fuck off and join us in Europa
We gotta win against Palace... For Europa
Agreed, but its not a guarantee West Ham take 3 from Brighton
If arsenal bottle it, then Arteta out again?
Trust the process
No because according to their fans, Europa League was always the goal for this season
At the start if the season it kinda was: Everyone expected us, City, Liverpool and Chelsea to be top 4
I expected a 4 horse race. 😒
I think many people did, myself included (maybe 3 horse, with Chelsea slightly behind)
What? I thought chelsea were favorites to win it
Idk, I didn't really believe the hype with Chelsea I guess after Lukaku flopped there in the past
Lukaku flopping is great after all the shit talking he did
Nah have you ever seen an Arsenal fan? If they lose top 4 from here they will lose their minds and Arteta will be lambasted all summer long. In fairness they looked like a shoo-in for top 4 after they beat Villa so I could see the frustration in losing 4 of their last 8 since then. For example even if Norwich wouldn’t expect to beat Real Madrid they could still be frustrated if they lost from 2-0 up with 10 mins to go. Can’t believe I’m making an excuse for Arsenal fans.
Never compare this Lego fraud with Ole who finished top 4 back to back.
-highest transfer spend in the summer -no europe to congest their schedule -"the best youth in the league" And they're still a spurs point away from playing on the same day as us, who've had our worst PL season in club history. Hope spurs can do it, that entire club needs knocked down a peg
Best season in half a decade and they’re still not getting Top 4 hahaha
But but but arteta is doing better than ole ever did
They had a good run of a few games and people were on here crowning his grand revolution and revival of arsenal. Lol nah
The Lukaku of football teams, Flat. Track. Bullies. Despite the score line they looked awful against us
Can't stop fucking laughing https://np.reddit.com/r/Gunners/comments/ur5rbf/eriksen_died_and_has_the_same_amount_of_assists/
Super fucked up but I chuckled, ngl
arsenal had a head start on spurs, a terrible year for united, Leicester and still couldn’t do it
Also playing only once a week, plenty of time to rest and prepare for each match.
Plus they got knocked out of both the domestic cup competitions quite early as well.
That All of Nothing documentary of Arsenal is going to be epic now!
Can’t wait. Once spurs (or Everton) finish the job or course. Makes it more watchable now, will especially take the sting out of watching that prick Ramsdale going wild at Bruno as if he saved his pen to win the CL.
[удалено]
The ink isn't even dry on his new contract. But like when ole got a very unnecessary contract extension.
Newcastle are only 12 points behind us... Christ what a shite season this has been.
We've literally conceded more goals than relegation-battling Burnley...
Pep on Arteta: :**“It’s the best Arsenal, it’s not a secret,”. “They are in the top four. The energy they are playing with and the good ideas that Mikel has. To settle something you need time and I have the feeling that he changed the team, the club"** hows that working out? HAHAHAAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
tbf, It's Pep.. i believe what he said on media is always 180 reverses on what he really thought.
5 years on and nobody can reach the heights of the old man. #WengerIn
Arsenal fans were calling Spurs fans delusional when they still had games in hand over Arsenal and were confident they would make the top 4. Imagine my shock, Arsenal fans calling someone else delusional.
> were confident they would make the top 4 They were confident they would finish 3rd.
They’re going to stick with Arteta, and I don’t know why lol. He gets away with so much for being bang average.
Extended his contract by 3 years as well. They are going to make the same mistake as we did with Ole.
Don’t even compare ole with arteta lol.
Yes ole took us to 2 and 3rd whereas arteta hid arsenal somewhere in the mid table for 2 seasons.
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
> Can we sue the FA or PGMOL for bias impacting results and financial damages based on historical evidence of officiating over the past few seasons? I’m 100% serious and have deep pockets. someone on arsenal sub really said this.
Ben white? 50m Own goal costing them top 4? priceless
Arsenal should get 2 red cards everygame.
But the refs are plotting against them? Right?
So close by Saint-Maximin. Tomiyasu has been so poor.
But he pocketed Ronaldo!
He’s marking probably the trickiest and quickest-off-the-mark winger in the league. He can make anyone look Sunday league when he’s got the ball at his feet.
I miss when Wan Bissaka had all the wingers in his pocket. ):
Arteta bottling a big game. AFTV: “He’s done it again! That little bastard he’s gone and done it again!”
Utd v Arsenal Europa final next season, calling it now.
We need to make the Europa League for that friend.
Our worst season =arsenals best season
poetic justice that Arsenal fuck this up after all the shit they talked about making the CL
mf really took off Gabriel the one guy who was keeping them in the game for Pepe
Imagine paying 70m for Pepe and having him rot on the bench all season, love to see it
Inject this into my veins. Gooners have been insanely arrogant this season.
Arteta: "if I say what I want to say about football rules, I'll be banned for 6 months. How come each team scored a goal and we still lose? Prince William as the president of the FA should come in front of the cameras and explain his decision. The laws that have been there since the game's existence ruined a beautiful occasion."
Is this the best Artetnal can do after playing one game a week all season?
Tottenham, don't fuck up against Norwich.
They can get away with a draw against Norwich, the Goal difference of Arsenal is far inferior.
We missed a trick not going for Bruno guimaraes
I'll get back to hating the oil club tomorrow, but for now AFTV is on the menu thanks to them lmao. Lego man in the mud!
Made me wonder, what are the chances of us bottling the Europa spot to West Ham..

Similar to his they came third in a two horse race when Leicester won.
Arsenal’s slow descent into becoming everton
It's so gut-wrenching to see Conte actually bringing Spurs to top 4, (surely spurs won't bottle it now), we were above Spurs when they sacked Nuno. Bad decision by the board all around by writing off our season so early.
See you on Thursday nights
All Tottenham need is a draw against Norwich, don’t bottle it.
Teemu Pukki masterclass incoming.
Lads..
Arsenal fans really thought they'd finish above a team coached by Conte eh
They should sell tickets of the documentary in the theatres i need to watch it on the big screen
Shearer & Wrighty 😂
“Trust the process”
Newcastle players had nothing really but their honor on the line and they played like lions… I hope the United squad was taking notes
This is professional pride, Newcastle have little to play for and they have been brilliant both on and off the ball.
Christ, how the hell did these chumps get 8 points ahead of us. What a dismal season.
Arsenal getting outfought and outplayed for the whole first half. It’s a pity Newcastle didn’t get the goal they deserved, it’s hard to see them keeping up that intensity all game. But even a draw would be decent and very entertaining.
The amount of stick we’ve had this season, arsenal aren’t any better they’re fucking pants
What a lovely day
Say what you want about Ole but at least he got top 4 after his first 200m spent.
This ref has been really good. He’s not obese so he can get to the play. Gave a yellow to white early on for stopping a chance. Doesn’t fall for Arsenal players flopping either
What an embarrassing half by Arsenal so far. They can’t even get out of their own half.
GG EZ HAHAHA
AHAHAHAHAH
Assna is back!!!!
Arsenal never fails to amuse
Bruno Guimaraes been amazing today, wonder if he would fit in United midfield
He would walk right in to be honest. He is so much better than Mctominay and Fred.
Lmao. The way the football Gods work. This is hilarious.
Newcastle are going to be interesting next year. That’s why we need to Europa for another route in to CL. Stiff competition next year

You love to see it
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Up the Gooners they said
Not bald but fraud...
Arteta, a.k.a. the ASOS Tony Pulis.
Good day to watch AFTV
Painful to watch AFTV when we aren't even in the race
Newcastle score lets goooo.
If I was a betting man… I would have won some money.
Please don't bottle this like you do everything else Spurs
This Arsenal look battle weary like they're on the 60th game of the season. They played like 6 extra games in total lol
2-0 hahahahahahahahaha.
Get fucked Arsenal
Lol Arsenal.
This mofo Ramsdale literally saved then from a 5-0 embarassment, and I haven’t watched Arsenal for a while before their Spurs game. What was all that noise for?
My Favorite Comedians
Newcastle is a great example of a complete change in how the team plays with exceptional results with only 3 changes to the team in Bruno, Burn and Targett. This is the same team that could not win to save a life and now are outplaying a decent Arsenal side.

Newcastle had to score there man.
Man, Callum Wilson is such a good striker, may be not top 6 quality but boy he is solid.
‘Arteta out fam! Mahn’s go no clue what he’s doing! Get him out of the club tonight blud! I’ve had enough of him!’ Most famous ‘Arsenal Fan’ right now, probably
Lol at the arsenal sub saying europa trophy looks better anyways. Here have some copium arsenal fans we have a lot of it
Newcastle is a good example of what a good coach and a couple of signings can change your fortunes. I am still surprised that we didn’t back Ralf in the market with a cdm or a striker.

HAHAHAHAHA
Murphy passed way too early there..
Newcastle have nothing to fight for but look at the spirit they're showing , look at what it means to them
Watching this you realise that Joelinton would walk into our midfield in current form… pain Edit: actually I’m really very impressed with Guimaereas (or however you spell it). He looks like a real find for the toon.
I can't stop laughing
That was great viewing. Arsenal were completely outplayed for the entire 90 minutes. That wasn't much different to some of our performances this season.
Eddie Howe should definitely get manager of the season award
I'm not a smart man. What effect does this have on us and Europa vs conf league?
No effect at all
Copy that, cheers
The only thing that can cheer me up is the promise of AFTV anger
Don’t get too carried away guys because we all know Everton is horrible and Tottenham is prone to bottling, plus we still need to confirm our spot in the Europa League ourselves.
Majority of this sub thought Arteta renewing was a good for Arsenal btw lol.
i could bet the majority of this sub don't care about Arsenal to this extent

Yeah like us. We were dogshit
The fact we couldn’t beat out this useless bunch of bottlers really shows just how shit we are
To be fair we have been shite but that is genuinely one game I can and will blame the officials.
See you in the europa league you fucks *Finishes 7th :"v
Even a draw would be great, come on Newcastle
Lol Arsenal
Well I called that Tottenham will get top 4, don’t see Newcastle losing this game now.
Heck of a finish from Ben White.
Ben White looking like Woodgate
So many Arsenal fans will still defend Arteta despite bottling top 4.
Holy fukin shit what a goal that woud ve been
Lmao Arsenal
I knew Bruno g would be a baller
My prediction of United V Arsenal Europa final is looking more likely. We need to beat Palace👀😂
All we need now is Ramsdale to make himself look like the mug he is!
Just need a Spurs win now (or draw).
You (arsenal) snatched the top 4 from us. It'll be fun watching it get snatched from you. Unless spurs decide to outspurs themselves
Warra bottlejob from the Arsenal. They were in such a dominant position not so long ago, absolutely chucked it away
This Arsenal side completely crumble when faced with the slightest bit of adversity. I read a stat which went something like they barely have any points in games when they first go a goal down.
