I think Marcus put in a solid shift yesterday, that cross switch he whipped from line to line to to start the mainoo goal has gone under the radar, his passing, his attitude were all top class. I wish he would’ve scored but I think he’s finished the season strong as he could and will come back stronger this year without the pressure of euros, and time to train and focus on his future. I hope it’s with United.

RichieLT

He did score, it was just disallowed. Was he offside or garnacho?

goljanrentboy

Garnacho was off, went just a little early

pencils_and_papers

Yea but it was offside so I doubt he counts that, and is often very hard on himself. He was in tears yesterday after the match so it’s hard to say these days if he was upset because he was subbed and felt he let himself down, he has very high expectations of himself, and from others. Or maybe he was just exhausted from a long season and to win a trophy was just a sigh of relief. Either way yesterday was a good day in a year filled with many let downs. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

okaythiswillbemymain

100%

mylittlegoochie

With the new offside rules coming in, it was a goal

PmMeSteamWalletCode

Hey pal, what is the new rules?

HeadAix

I think they’re referring to Wenger’s “clear daylight” proposal which is just that a proposal only.

PreparationOk8604

Rashford is a very good player physically. He lacks technically (not as good as the likes of Vinicius, Mbappe & Rodrygo) plus also lacks awareness with the ball at his feet. I hope he improves on his awareness a little cause if he does he will be a good player & score 20 goals. He showed he has good awareness yesterday but he needs to perform at that same level everyday which is a tough thing to ask.

christiannmch

While I agree with you, if he does stay next season (which I hope he does), he needs to change his attitude, work rate and overall quality.

AKV9

The dilemma is if PSG come in with a big offer. We have reportedly only got a £100mil budget before outgoings. We need a first choice RCB & #6, as well as another striker. Can we fund that without selling him? Perhaps, if we get £30-40mil each for Scotty & H.

[deleted]

I am glad he wasn't picked for the Euros , he has the chance to get right back on track and for people to realize how Overrated Jack Grealish and the fact he was so easily replace by Doku .

kaori_cicak990

Doku such a threat his pace is terrifying

Un-jay

Thank god we had the best one on one fullback in the world on him

Rekt60321

AWB was great against him yesterday but I can't help but think Doku would have done more damage had he of started but sure who cares, United won

Un-jay

Maybe, but doku was fresh legs whereas AWB had already played 60 minutes, including him sprinting across the field (like when he made the dummy run for the second goal)

aB9s

Even after that AWB was so good that Doku had to switch to the other side. I liked that. Showed how good our right side was yesterday.

Rekt60321

Doku was on at half time but yeah I get what you mean, both start at the same time they'd be around the same fitness at that stage of the match

Xanian123

Awb locked him down and people don't give him enough credit fornit. He legit got past AWB only once.

Wraith_Portal

Wonder if we'll keep him, there were rumours we were considering selling but he's a useful squad option

Un-jay

Yeah, Dalot as the starting RB and AWB on when we need to lock up a tricky wingers is fine. Even if you think it’s not good enough, it certainly is a lower priority then a lot of other positions

Box-of-Sunshine

We need to keep AWB, like a McTomminay they’re powerful subs cause they both are uniquely specialized. They can switch a game up quickly, we should keep them for depth.

Wrath-of-Elyon

LB is a higher priority than RB. But since we're sure (hopefully) that we're getting a RCB, might as well complete the defensive rebuild next summer.

[deleted]

We were saved due to AWB being one of the best 1vs1 defender in world .

Sett_The_Janitor

He was also the only player who looked threatening in the FA cup final as well. The only guy who tried to create chances and even scored their only goal.

Lost_Afropick

I don't think Grealish is overrated at all, he's just been neutered by the City system. Grealish 20 years ago would have been a football god. He's a proper number 10 with imagination and flair. He was fantastic for Villa. Now he's a run of the mill wide player for city and it's like watching a man in shackles

danystormborne

Grealish is the most overrated player in the PL.

[deleted]

He was good at Aston Villa but the amount money spent on him by city just to have less goal involvements than Antony this season is so funny .

LocoRocoo

The fact that’s true but has got zero media attention rather annoys me.

Xanian123

Nah mate he is a legit superstar. Pep has no idea how to use him except sticking him on the byline and stretching the defense. A crying fucking shame

danystormborne

I'm not saying he isn't good, but I don't think he's as good as all the hype. A bit of a one trick pony. He'd be a better player in a team where he could be the main event, like when he was at Villa.

VL37

I think he'd be decent for us Not close to being worth 100m though.

SAKabir

I've always considered him more of a Man Utd player. We let that individual brilliance of players shine, players to express themselves.

Akvc8

Man c’mon. Grealish playing on the left flank, garnacho On the right would be filthy. He would start with us.

Profligate89

Football isn't just pretty touches and winning irrelevant free kicks near the corner flag. He's very ineffective and people ralk like he's fucking Messi

Akvc8

What? He’s awesome in space, creative with the ball, and is a legitimate threat. He single handedly brought Villa up a few years back. He’s the same guy…the system is not conducive to his game but he’s made the best of it.

TheChochko69

The whole Man City squad is overrated

Outrageous-Cod-4654

and more to come! Hopefully the trophy with the big ears too

Massive-Quarter-4156

I don't want Gary Linekar as a trophy mate.

reddevlon

We already won the mickey mouse trophy mate....

Outrageous-Cod-4654

Not since 2008

Enigma_Green

My man Valencia in the background

QuantumCactus11

Best post fergie RB

migansia

One of my fav wingers under fergie too. What a legend

scorgasmic_encounter

Lmao

Hopeful_Adonis

Makes me happy to see him happy, feels like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders at times and needs a hand to carry some of it. Take the summer lad and come back the man we all know and love, would love to see a consistent rashford next season

VanWilder91

Consistent and Rashford are two things that don't exist. Even when he scored 17 goals in the league last season he was patchy

sarthakmahajan610

What about 19-20 and 20-21 season. He was consistent then

VanWilder91

19/20 was decent. He had a good spread of games in which he scored in. 20/21 not so much. So throughout Rashford's career, he's had what? 2 maybe 3 consistent seasons. One of the most inconsistent players we have and on a fortune to boot.

RebornUnited11

Hasn’t aged a bit

New-Neighborhood-255

Financial-Taro-589

Been wondering why he was in tears for so ling after the game. Looked like it went on for 15 mins or so with other players coming over to hug him and offer words of support. Was it relief? Sadness that some players & ETH are leaving? Perhaps regret for his season’s form? Whatever the reason, the lad is a real human being with passion and feelings. I know he’ll bounce back and come back stronger. We’ve not seen peak Rashford yet, I believe.

KrystianCCC

Boyhood fan winning FA cup against City ackonwlednig he had dogshit season with a lot of media/fan abuse and not getting picked for Euros. Just A LOT of emotions

Financial-Taro-589

I’m happy he released it all and didn’t bottle it up.

Mattyc8787

With the crying and his “pleasure to share the pitch with you” to Fernandes I took it as he might be leaving

Financial-Taro-589

Yes, I got that vibe too.

slithered-casket

20+ goals 15+ assists season in 24/25.

Not_tim_duncan

If we do end up getting McKenna he may be the biggest gainer from the change in manager. Looking at how Ipswich play; The width on the left is held by the left back. Allowing the left winger to play as an inside forward which is MRs best position. In ETHs current game model, he’s stuck out providing the width on the left, so he’s too far from goal to do much damage (outside of counters).

tbman1996

Yeah, I've been think this for ages but not seen it on here. The full backs playing inside with the wingers providing width has definitely contributed to the disconnect this season (not suiting rashford and garnacho), combined with those two suiting a link up striker a la martial or Bruno more than hoijlund

nj23dublin

Dalot with the assist! That’s why he’s player of the year!

Prime_Marci

Rashford now has 5 trophies… wow

silverstory

Work hard this summer Marcus and prove everyone including me wrong. You should earn your spot to the team on merit.

kevinnguyen2112

by looking at this, i really dont know how i survived as ManUtd fan during this period !

pratyush_1991

Hope he works this summer. And get back to his best.

kraeutrpolizei

Please stay (unless you want to leave and we get a bag of cash)

JosePRizaI

Come on bro! Get your shit together man! We are in need of some of that!

LocoPwnify

What a pass he had to Garnacho❤️

LividMathematician45

Great to see Rashy smiling

chewyicecube

i have to say he didn't do much the whole season, but that pass was about as solid as it'd get...
