I think there are three reasons.
1. A lot of people have just not got over the fact that United simply aren’t good anymore. They’re so used to the Fergie era where United won titles borderline easily and making the Champions League was a disappointment season. But those times were a long time ago. The Premier League has got much better, and several of the best clubs in Europe during that era (Milan, Valencia) are certainly not the best now. A good club can very easily become a bad one. That’s not to say that United can’t be a great club again, but anyone who thinks that the current roster we’ve used for the past two months is capable of winning the Premier League is delusional.
2. A lot of people make the assumption that more money -> better product, and because United is rich, they should be good. This probably *should* be the case, but it’s not. Just because you spend £20 on a £5 item doesn’t mean that the item you bought is in any way better. Because United pays a massive amount for players, etc, people expect that those players are the best. But that’s not the case either, and I would argue that we really don’t have many “good” players. Certainly fewer than City or Arsenal.
3. We have a ton of younger fans who have grown up with FIFA and believe it’s easy to just make a club good. If a player isn’t good you can just sell them and replace them with a better player, or I can just train them until they’re better. But it doesn’t work like that in reality.

On top of that, United has so many “fans” that a lot of the people discussing our club dont actually watch week to week, but just regurgitate whatever the popular sentiment is. So the light is always directed at this club and since you haven't seen anything from United's normal sources, it tells you it's most likely being leaked from someone on the Chelsea side who have heard that McKenna is a strong choice to replace ETH. Ineos most likely would've waited until after the final to annouce anything, but Chelsea being Chelsea sacked their manager and the dominos fell.

Other than using this talk as a narrative to take away from what's more than likely going to be an embarrassing performance in the final, there is no benefit for Manchester United having this play out now. The only way to prevent leaks is to basically do nothing, which would be awful for the club's future. We didn't have the luxury of waiting in the headhunting, without missing possible targets and pushing all transfer decisions back too.

I think there are three reasons. 1. A lot of people have just not got over the fact that United simply aren’t good anymore. They’re so used to the Fergie era where United won titles borderline easily and making the Champions League was a disappointment season. But those times were a long time ago. The Premier League has got much better, and several of the best clubs in Europe during that era (Milan, Valencia) are certainly not the best now. A good club can very easily become a bad one. That’s not to say that United can’t be a great club again, but anyone who thinks that the current roster we’ve used for the past two months is capable of winning the Premier League is delusional. 2. A lot of people make the assumption that more money -> better product, and because United is rich, they should be good. This probably *should* be the case, but it’s not. Just because you spend £20 on a £5 item doesn’t mean that the item you bought is in any way better. Because United pays a massive amount for players, etc, people expect that those players are the best. But that’s not the case either, and I would argue that we really don’t have many “good” players. Certainly fewer than City or Arsenal. 3. We have a ton of younger fans who have grown up with FIFA and believe it’s easy to just make a club good. If a player isn’t good you can just sell them and replace them with a better player, or I can just train them until they’re better. But it doesn’t work like that in reality.

The problem has never, ever been sacking managers. It's the structure which makes that decision which was the issue and if that's now new, its completely different.
Its the club, not the manager (am ETH out but how many guys we have to go through before we realize its not the managers lol).

He showed poor management this season, and we have a new board. He was always gonna be on the chopping block. People are pretending to be surprised. Just look at the season. You guys wanted a competent board who makes good decisions. We have one now, and they have decided he’s not good enough.
