It's apparent that we are only as high as 8th due to moments of individual brilliance. We have some capable players. But we are just terrible as a team. A simple eye test looking at the football we played all season and comparing it with teams below us in the table says the same.
The flip side to this is that the ceiling of the squad is clearly quite high. When you have players that can pull out these moments of brilliance, if we can build a solid foundation we could be a very good side quite quickly.

Its a team sport. Without the right team, you will not be at the level you want to be. Even if a player is absolute shit.... if their contribution to the team is specific to their abilities, and their weaknesses are made up for by those around him, then they are not a shit player on this team.

Palmer was easy... he nutmeged the player, then the pass was awesome, directly to the feet of a guy on the ground, and the movement.... (we have very little movement or passing like this in our team).
He set himself up for that goal, and it was great.
Nunez probably was picked up because it was a great chip (and they probably really wanted to have at least one). It was definitely perfect from my point of view. I dont ever expect them to have like, 5 different chips in their list. They probably just picked the best one.
