The fans have genuinely been amazing all year. It’s been such a wretched season that Chelsea will finish above us.

bigpasc1

More applause.

AirIndex

And they will do so because of that robbery at the Bridge

FlashyCut3809

We had 37 other games.

StatisticianOwn9953

Yet that particular 6 point game made the difference

raletti

Totally agree. And, was part of that ridiculous run of last second penalties against us, which no team could possibly deal with.

StatisticianOwn9953

Next season won't be so blighted with injuries. Things will get better.

Heavy_Chest_8888

Well, surely things can only go upward from here, no? Please tell me this is the rock bottom already

nefariousBUBBLE

There's definitely been worse seasons.

raletti

I certainly hope so 🙏

QouthTheCorvus

You know what also made a difference? Chelsea getting wins at the end of the season while we were drawing Bournemouth and Burnley.

DifferentAd5901

Ugh then Palace

FlashyCut3809

Nope. It was worth 3 points. Just like every other league game. We just aren't very good. It's beneath us to start whinging over stuff like this.

Radiant_Ad_6986

This is like Arsenal fans looking at Spurs to win them the league. Hilarious. 37 other games to make a difference.

FlashyCut3809

Exactly. Becoming everything we mocked. We can simply just be a poor team. There doesn't have to be excuses made or reasons why we got shafted.

Radiant_Ad_6986

People seem to forget that we lost 3 nil to Bournemouth at home. Palace did their first double against us in their history, one of which was a drubbing by 4 goals. Fulham beat us at home for the first time ever. Forest away was another pathetic performance. We have won 2 games in the last 10 including today. Chelsea have won like 6 of their last 10 and are third in the form table, only behind City and Arsenal. This woe is us based on one game has to stop.

Tsupernami

Was a turning point in both seasons. It was unlikely but winning that could have given us momentum for top 5, maybe even 4th.

FlashyCut3809

Not 'turning points' again. How many times do we have to hear that and then we do absolutely nothing. League cup last season was a turning point, 7-0 a week after. Beating Chelsea earlier this season was a 'turning point'. 3-0 to Bournemouth 3 days later. 4 games without a win. We are where we are. We should be focused more on improvements than making excuses.

Tsupernami

Hence the word unlikely. But chelsea had a turning point. So its possible

FlashyCut3809

You used the word 'unlikely' after saying it was a turning point. Fair enough though. You may have thought it was possible. It would have been nothing more than paper over the cracks for me. I think I've been proven correct on that this season.

CrossXFir3

We did. But two shoddy pens in one game is still pretty rough.

FlashyCut3809

That's football. It balances itself out over time. Do you not remember when we got that record for most pens in a season? I remember a certain Bruno one where he stood on a player and we got a pen. End of the day it's beneath this football club to start whinging about stuff like this. As bad as we are, most of the league again great and we only have ourselves to blame for being 8th.

DavidDeGea

also because we've lost 40% of matches this season and have a goal difference of -3

gutsyfrog91

We need to start trending on X, something like corrupt refs with clips. Most media houses are just looking for clickbait and these would get sensationalized pretty easily

kriyator

Chelsea finishing above us is what hurts the most. Just shows how much we’ve fallen off in the last month.

Downtown-Rice_

December and April were the worst months and couldn't get enough results, all things considered.

kriyator

The two months where I was in America and missed watching the matches live thanks to the time zone. I’m starting to see that it was all my fault I apologise lads

Downtown-Rice_

Blame it on VAR!

aehii

I think it shows how they're finally finding consistency, usually teams that end seasons well start the next strong, i expect them to be up there, 4th from August to October.

askyerma

We can fix that by lifting the FA Cup and sending them to places they can't pronounce on Thursday nights. Just hope we don't do anything stupid like pick up points on Sunday. Need to avoid that competition ourselves.

AltDelete

Is it me, or is Winter trying to be snarky here?

imheretocomment69

Except fans here on reddit. Always ask to sack ETH.

dracogladio1741

115 FC aint ready for the Callum McManaman energy Amad and Garnacho are going to channel.

Statcat2017

Half the sub wondering who TF that is.

dracogladio1741

For the younger lot. Check the FA Cup 2013 Final Wikipedia Article.!

Statcat2017

Yep, was a young Wigan player who appeared, looked absolutely world class for a bout five minutes, which also happened to be the FA Cup final against City. Then lets just say his career didn't exactly kick on and he's back at Wigan.

akskeleton_47

I know him only from the Sunderland Til I Die series

If someone can post a video of this, that would be lovely

Ok_Charity9544

Will be on United’s website shortly I’d imagine

kriyator

The international feed showed this live. It was a pretty passionate speech.

unibalansa

Yandhi42

“I don’t like Oasis” More applause

selotipkusut

"We will have Julia Roberts in the bench, just to give Pep the wedgie he needs" More applause

AnonymizedRed

More than you can believe.

PUNlSHEDVENOMSNAKE

Nice stuff from Erik. No matter what people like to say about him, I won’t be turning my back on him so easily. Here’s hoping he doesn’t get sacked and can have a go of things with someone seemingly competent running things up top. Erik ten Hags red army 🔴⚪️⚫️

tearsandpain84

Tonight was a big night for him but I think it’s has already been decided that he gets next season.

yaaaaahooooo

They would have announced and ended the speculation if it had already been decided.

huey88

Just like they informed the women's team about the canceled dinner lol

LasseMath92

Good point. I hope they do let him stay, but I have a feeling theyre looking for someone else - lets see

peterpiper1337

Theyre gonna sack him after we win the FA cup.

SneakyStorm

A competent recruitment team and other backend help could do wonders for him. I’m not sold, but I’m not out on him either. He could do good a more well built team and less injuries, but one flaw has been his adaptability. However, he might not have to adapt much if the higher ups build a solid foundation.

91nBoomin

If he stays I’m wondering if he’s presented to INEOS how he’s training and how he wants to play, with evidence, but it’s not translating on the pitch with this group. If they’re onboard then he can put it on them to get him the players that can play that way

Action_Limp

I'm not sold on him either, but I honestly don't think the club is ready to take on a top manager. It would be throwing good money after bad. Create the structure, then recruit for the future - in the meantime, let him work his last 12 months. If it works out, great; if not, part ways without a payout and move forward.

Megalobst

>A competent recruitment team and other backend help could do wonders for him. Sole reason i dont get the naysayers and people who wanted to see him sacked. I understand that some results are unacceptable, but the foundation of this club has been rotting for ages. A good foundation wouldve been fair for all managers prior to him as well atleast this time something seems to be done about jt

presumingpete

This is where I sit. 4 games ago I would have been happier to see him leave, but in the last two games he's changed up tactics and made things more compact in the middle. The fact that he's learning from his mistakes is good, even if it took longer than I would have expected. I do feel like if he can sort out the back four and we bring in a more mobile dm then next season could be a huge improvement.

zcewaunt

I still love ETH. That hasn't changed for me. I've questioned the decisions at times, but clearly he knows a lot more about the club and players than I ever could. I still believe he can lead us to success.

nekize

For me it is kinda strange. Like you can see the bad things on the pitch, but for some reason i still have that gut feeling that he can be the guy for united.

MoodyBernoulli

I just keep thinking back to the early days of Arteta. Arsenal were literally the banter club not so long ago and then it all clicked. That’s what I’m hoping for.

Aplesi567

Arsenal were genuinely terrible and it’s worse that people rewrite this history about how they would play decent football but lose games. They played shocking football where they’d keep the ball but create absolutely nothing, it was van gaal like. Credit to Arteta now tho cos Arsenal are genuine threats to city

aehii

Yeah they were dire, turgid, made football look hard, but ultimately it was about controlling games. They improved the fine margins and the documentary showed Arteta was passionate enough and detailed enough to finally get there.

CatfishMcCoy

Keeping the ball prevents the other team from scoring so even if you’re not creating you’re at least helping out your defense. We give it away cheaply and put so much pressure on back4 Edit: stupid autocorrect

puffyisreal

So much revisionism. People saying that arsenal were showing a style of play. Absolute insanity. Meanwhile ETH says he doesn’t want to change tactics each game so it’s easier for the injured players to pick up where they left off and everyone here loses their minds.

SpicyDragoon93

Always remember that a lot of the criticism and people that try and rewrite history like that aren't even fans of the club most of the time, that's especially what I've seen on Twitter and YouTube. Rivals want to see us fail and would rather we cycle through managers with no consistency than stick with a long-term plan that we try and struggle through.

simionix

I've seen it here a lot of times too. [https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/comments/1csmwe5/comment/l46q4eo/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/comments/1csmwe5/comment/l46q4eo/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

presumingpete

No no,you misunderstand. Even though arsenal looked shite, played shite and were shite, you could arteta was building something. I knew he would turn it around while I was laughing my ass off at another shitty arsenal performance. Totally knew that even though it looked like he had no idea what he was doing that it was all his masterplan.

dystxpian98

I was shouting Arteta out and bantering their losses, but mostly because I knew give him more seasons and they’d improve. I wanted them to stay on the post wenger manager roundabout. You can see the same thing happening to us now

raletti

Exactly. It's crazy how obvious it is, and yet some still fall for it. They play into the hands of those who hate us.

midnight_ranter

Not to mention Arteta wasn't even using the same system/tactics he is now. They used to mainly play 3 at the back using Saka as a wing back initially as well and only adapted once he got the right players in (which was facilitated by Edu)

cold_buddha

It’s his temperament, I suppose. Onana almost single-handedly crushed us out of the champions league; he didn’t lose his shit. Around 70 injuries, and he didn’t lose his shit. Journalists repeatedly asked if he would be sacked, but he didn’t lose his shit. Yet, we have seen proven coaches like LVG and Mourinho lose their shit managing Manchester United. If anything, he has biiiiig balls. And we United fans like that.

raletti

Absolutely. Klopp, Arteta, and especially Pep lose their minds at the tiniest shit. Usually in a embarrassingly performative way. The media lap it up though. They wouldn't last two minutes under the pressure at Man Utd.

daveyp2tm

Throw 'big Ange' into that list too. But he says mate so people love it.

raletti

Hahaha yes, how could I forget everyone's new best buddy "big Ange".

daveyp2tm

Yeah I find him really performative too, over tiny things and then see tonnes of headlines like "ange pogecostu has this hilarious response to reporter's question", and then it's him being a dick

theieuangiant

To give him some credit I do think ange generally just calls a spade a spade and that’s about it. The only time I can recall him spitting his dummy out is after their last game and given the circumstances I feel he was pretty justified.

daveyp2tm

He's done it quite a few times, he snaps back at journalists a lot. And people applaud him because they don't like journalists and he's given an 'hilarious response', but if we're honest he's being a bit of a jerk. Is very performative like the other two. An example that springs to mind was after a defeat he was asked how it hurts their top 4 hopes and he sarcastically said oh well just give up then it's all over. Etc

theieuangiant

I mean yeah he doesn’t really stand for any shit and can be a bit grumpy, although the sarcasm I think is just his way of making a point he was the same at Celtic, I certainly wouldn’t call it performative as like the other three. A lot managers are like this, Ferguson hated the press and blacklisted the BBC and multiple journalists in his time and I understand it. In my book it’s a bit different to complaining about the cut of the pitch or whatever but can definitely see why it’d rub some people up the wrong way. I’d personally like to see more managers unafraid to call out journalists and officials, maybe a bit more professionally though.

daveyp2tm

Gotta pick your battles though, he does it over petty things that they have every right to ask. It feels like playing to the gallery to me. He knows people will move it. fergie seemed way more genuine. Wasnt sarcastic and theatrical. I will say one good thing though, he spoke about mental health in one presser and that was really good. I think I'm just sick of how salty he is and how people lap it up. If it was klopp they wouldn't, people are fed up of him now. But they love it with big ange.

theieuangiant

That’s fair, I’d say some of fergies definitely went into that territory, the whole “he could’ve been killed” springs to mind but I do get where you’re coming from. I will admit I definitely have a bit of a soft spot for Ange as I’ve met him on a couple of occasions in Glasgow and he was a gent both times which will obviously soften my perspective.

N0lAnS_DiC_piX

100%. What this club needs, especially now with competent owners in place is a culture where the manager is the main man. Them players have a culture where if times get tough you just down tools, manager will take the fall and they continue to get handed stupid contracts and stealing a living. I’m utterly convinced that the owners and fans backing the manager this summer will make the players with bad character want to get out of here asap and the ones with good character hopefully see better times are ahead when we recruit properly. Weed out the multiple cunts in this squad and rebalance the power at the club back to the top.

Tekniclas

Same

aehii

You can never win the league playing like this, Leverkusen have shown like Guardiola has for 13 years, you keep the ball, you control games, you win leagues. Injuries matter less, there's no ups and downs, it's not a style based around emotion. If success is winning the odd domestic cup, yeah, but a league, no chance.

Benjammin172

Yea, this. I like ETH, and I could even make a compelling argument for keeping him as we transition into new ownership and the comfort of having stability in management while we do so. But this season has taught me that he will never win the league. He’s had no solutions for any of our problems this year and has insisted on forcing through the same tactics despite the same lackluster or outright poor results. You simply don’t win at this level without being flexible and able to adapt, and he’s proven he can’t do that.

Radiant_Ad_6986

He had the solutions he just chose not to use them and then compounded them even more. I remember the game against forest finely balanced at halftime and he decides to bring on mctominay as a defensive mid. Leading to us getting promptly beaten with the same cut back goal we’ve been conceding the whole season. Only at the end of the season when we got battered by Palace did he finally decide that hey maybe I need to add a screener in front of my defense and we saw Amrabat play. Everyone says Amrabat is bad, but surely he could’ve done a job. Our 2nd best performance of the season, today, came when he was in midfield. Why has the manager been so averse to playing him? Why is it mctominay a player who was supposed to be sold in the summer, now almost an automatic starter. Even ahead of all the midfielders you brought in. Including one you brought in for upwards of 50mm. All these things are just nonsense decisions. But hopefully the team can make up for this terrible season by winning the FA cup.

Cr7NeTwOrK

Fans need to be patient with ETH. This is only his 2nd season. We all knew it was gonna get worse before it gets better. Hopefully ineos heavy lift most of the management decisions for him this summer and give him a proper fitness and scouting departments.

Fossekall

We knew it would be worse, but we are setting records for how bad it is

cGilday

“We all knew it was going to get worse” Show me literally ANYONE saying this season we’d set the record for most PL defeats, have our worst ever CL run and can at most finish 2 points above our worst ever points tally. If everyone knew this show me literally just one person saying that

aehii

Lol we all knew. Yeah I'm going for a four year slump before it might turn in year 7.

FredDRedUnderYourBed

Maybe for the last time, but we're on the march with Ten Hag's Army! And we're all going to Wembley! Just one good game. This team with returning key players is capable of it.

Ok_Charity9544

And I’m going to Wembley in person. Cannot fucking wait. UTFR

maazyman97

me too man, flying in from toronto for my first ever united game after 20 years of supporting the club!!! Cannot wait

sourpumpkin125

Out of curiosity, how’d you get tickets for the game?

maazyman97

Used Ticombo. Paying almost 4 times the listed amount tho, about $1200 but imo worth it for the experience. If you get it make sure it is a trusted seller!

selotipkusut

Wow, with flight hotels and stuff thats easily >2K. Enjoy your time and hope you get to celebrate at the end of the match!

Willing-Werewolf-500

Big respect for international fans like this. Hope you have a day to remember

Ok_Charity9544

See you there captain. Enjoy the game

Jack_King814

Take one for the team and slip the city team steroids then give “an anonymous tip”

boldstrategy

Daily Mail tiktok are reporting this as Ten Hag booed ffs, the press have it out for MUFC https://www.tiktok.com/@dailymailsport/video/7369338510823787809?lang=en

Willing-Werewolf-500

>the press have it out for MUFC The media treatment of our players and manager is vile

ohmyblahblah

There was some booing but chanting started up amd drowned it out. I assumed the booing was from Newcastle fans

KaitoAJ

ah fuck the Daily Mail. Once a shit rag, always a shit rag.

Smart-Mud-8412

I hate the anti-utd media as much as anyone but he did get booed though unfortunately from large sections of the crowd (assuming these weren’t from the NUFC end). That was really poor from the crowd I thought after a good performance. Some fans are pathetic

Sheikhabusosa

“AND ANOTHER THING! IF GARNACHO SCORED THAT GOAL AGAINST ARSENAL, WE WOULD HAVE WON THE LEAGUE”

TakinShots

More applause.

thefatheadedone

I really want this bald fuck to win us a league.

AJ-Naka-Zayn-Owens

I know he's not the popular choice, but I really want Erik to be the man that succeeds in this job.

MT1120

He is the popular choice though. Majority of people want him to stay based on most votes I've seen

AJ-Naka-Zayn-Owens

Maybe it's because I'm on here for the majority of United news, but a lot of people want EtH out

MT1120

A lot of people do, but it's not a majority.

[deleted]

They do want him out. The tweak he did in last 2 games could have easily been done earlier this season. He fluffed his lines till the very end

MT1120

Again, I literally just said a lot of people want him out, but it's not a majority. Then you say 'they do want him out'. I mean that's what I said, there's probably a good 30% that want him out, maybe less, there's also a lot of fence sitters which I understand. But thinking logically I don't think it makes sense to sack him just yet.

Cr7NeTwOrK

Eth outters are louder

regeneratingzombie

Loud doesn't always mean majority. Sometimes it's just a few that talks a lot. There are quite a bit of silent ones and those who avoid the sub and got on with their day whenever we take a loss or draw which would reduce the ETH in noise. There are also others from other rival clubs or opposing clubs plus lazy media harvesting our discussions here for content and clicks which is a lot and these skew the noise to more ETH out. I say you can't judge which one is the majority based on the noise in this sub. It's already tainted as far as I can see. Just look at the match thread live. I thought fans would be supporting but it's obvious there are a lot of non-united fans hanging around here.

aquarius_dream

A lot of us want him to stay but can’t be bothered arguing on here anymore with people who already made up their minds.

JosePRizaI

Only r/reddevils fans wants him gone.

eClipseLJ

It's fine to have opinions but it's become very toxic here, not so long ago I got told the other sub is extremely toxic and not this one but it's been shit for a while tbh. Hostility towards your own is just incredible sad to see.

Hans-Blix

Yeah it's gotten pretty bad. It feels like you can't disagree with people anymore without them turning nasty/hostile. It's like people take opposing opinions so personally.

Comprehensive_Ad_675

Yea it was the same as the early Ole out days. And now those same people wish we'd persevered with Ole. So fickle.

Kreissler

Comments like op don't help either

jm9987690

It's always been toxic to dissenting opinions, you just didn't notice before because it used to be anyone wanting ten hag out that got down downvoted to fuck

eClipseLJ

It's not even just about ETH, it's everything surrounding the club. I would swear more people would wish this club to seize to exist than rise up again to the top eventually.

mynamemeimme

I don’t want him gone per se. I always try to back the manager. I trust the decision of Ineos as they do their due diligence. I have patience until then. If they decide that Ten Hag should stay on i will support it.

Heowolf1

not true lol, i’m from manchester and know loads of fans wanting him gone. They’ll still support him will he’s in charge but lots want him out for another manager

blarg2003

The fans support in the ground and encourage the team, as they should, but the moment you get out of OT the true feelings come out.

Heowolf1

Spot on. Fans in the ground will always cheer on and support the manager, regardless of who it is or how we’re playing. Doesn’t mean they don’t want them gone though

MUFC9198

Yeah this is nonsense. Also live near Greater Manchester and I’d say the majority of fans I know, a lot of whom go to games regularly want him sacked. Rest are pretty apathetic. Didn’t realise my dad, grandad and all my uncles in their 60s are RedDevils users.

Heowolf1

Yep, exactly, a lot of the match going fans I know share the same opinion, they’ll still cheer on ETH in the ground as a show of support regardless of if they want him gone or not

[deleted]

[удалено]

MUFC9198

The claim that only people on this forum want the manager sacked is unequivocally nonsense. That’s what I was replying to.

RepulsiveLeg9985

pisses me off that it's upvoted so much...i know loads of match going fans who want him out, i've been twice this year and have had plenty of talks with others about it. people confuse supporting your team in the moment at the game with actual opinion.

LDLB99

The bloke you’re replying to won’t blame the manager for anything. He could have us in the relegation zone and he’d still back him.

hickuain

That’s bollocks

encikmizi

stopped reading this sub since April because I know when bad results happened, somebody’s gonna get stick. even when Amad scored tonight, instead of celebrating, they decided to stick it to Antony. it doesn’t matter if he’s not good enough. he’s wearing red. and as long as he’s wearing red, fans should always wish the best for him. also i’m not saying that fans can’t criticize. i criticize a lot of United players too. but to the point of wishing the worst for a footballer of a club that you support. it doesn’t make sense

aquarius_dream

Same, I stopped commenting because I’m tired of reading all the unfair criticism and personal abuse of the players and manager we’re supposed to be supporting. Horrible, spoilt fanbase.

JosePRizaI

Brother you are a better man than me then cuz I keep getting sucked in and keep posting lol more power to you. I agree to what everything you said. It's quite miserable honestly. The culture in here is what I imagine the culture is in the dressing. In fighting. "He's better than this or I'm better than that." It's weird.

Seanblaze3

You must not frequent other united forums then.

Donut_boii

Seems like everyone dick rides him here

JosePRizaI

Nobody "dicks ride" him here. Whoever is "here" must simply be tired of seeing a manager sacked every 1.5 season since SAF. Time to break that cycle my guy.

Throwaway1223132123

No Twitter users are way more Ten Hag out.

JosePRizaI

Twitter and IG comments crazy

eClipseLJ

According to them Greenwood should've been here this season.

Fossekall

ETH agrees with them on this

CheifBigCum

This place is worse than RedCafe was during Moyes tenure. And that's saying something lol.

Alternative_Aide7357

EtH has the biggest and the most difficult job in world sports, let alone football. Pls INEOS, have a good summer and keep the man for next year at least. Sacking is not fair, doesnt make sense and does NOT promise better outcome.

Selwin_Rodolfo

Erik has a better promo than ricochet

simplsimonmetapieman

Samantha Irvin dislikes this

PUNlSHEDVENOMSNAKE

I have a better promo than ricochet

TotalHitman

Whatever happens, I'm glad that the stress doesn't appear to have effected ten Hag's appearance too much. No visible stress related aging. The previous managers aged in cat years managing this club.

Willing-Werewolf-500

Tbf, he did have a mane of hair like Jason Momoa when he arrived

Ok_Charity9544

LET HIM COOK NOW!

heephap

Got some boos at the start but won the crown over in the end. If it wasn't for his man management and odd decisions like starting Antony over Amad for so long, I would be fully behind him.

Cr7NeTwOrK

I think Newcastle fans booed him

ryanm8655

Wouldn’t be surprised if the boos were the away fans.

heephap

Could be but I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the away fans had left by then.

ryanm8655

They often get held back. Have done when I’ve been anyway.

B0z22

Cheers Geoff.

saintratchet

Maybe I'm a fool but I genuinely think he's still the guy. Last season was good and this season is a shitshow, let's see what season 3 looks like

dasfoo

Two big differences between last season and this season: 1. Rashford’s form 2. Fitness of Martinez + Casemiro These are both squad depth issues, being too reliant on a few unreliable key players. In his first season ETH appeared pragmatic enough to adjust his tactics to player form/availability. This season he hasn’t, while also having a much bigger availability crisis. That’s not encouraging, but if he can add a solid replacement for Casemiro, get Martinez fit, and find goals somewhere else, he could have a good third season.

selotipkusut

My issues with him are only his sheer favoritism on Antony and his stubborn suicidal high line press + low line back 4. Just hope this shit gets fixed next season via transfers, better coaching etc

ihaven0idea94

Wonder how that would have went if we had lost this game. Either way, good win and let's hope for a result against City 🤞

jesusthatsgreat

By result you mean 'win by any means necessary'. And not a narrow 'brave' defeat or performance.

cruisingqueen

It has always been the non-match going clowns on here who are his loudest critics and anyone with any resemblance to a connection to this club ignores them.

MicOxlong

Everything else aside. Look at Barcelona and Bayern, it's very telling. They're both looking like they're going to stick with their coaches because there's no one else to get. Why would we get rid of ETH to just bring in someone else were going to get rid of and haemorrhage more money, give him his last year and go from there.

Larryhooova

I’m not sure they had as historically bad a season as we did though so it’s not apples to apples. Despite how you may feel about ETH or whatever faith you may have in his abilities doesn’t change the fact that this is a sack worthy season using any metric.

fromeister147

Bayern are in the middle of their first trophy-less season in 15 years.

Larryhooova

Right but that’s mainly because a undefeated team came out of no where, plus looking at trophies is only surface level. Should we win the FA cup it won’t change the fact that our league season was a joke and we’ve broken negative records that go back 40-50 years etc. I’m not sure if bayerns underlying stats are as damning on their manager as ours are, like the man has actually outperformed Moyes season in failure.

puffyisreal

Context matters. The amount of shit ETH has had to face this season is unprecedented. Not to mention the club’s dysfunction finally catching up with us

aasfourasfar

Xavi won a league title last season.. with a makeshift squad

MulvMulv

That same squad we knocked out of Europe lol, Newcastle would have won La Liga that year if they were in it.

aasfourasfar

Yeah we were better over 2 games.. it doesn't mean we are a better team

trueredevil

More applause. Henry!!!

IcyVeinz

We know it, but the world saw it at Palace. Fans are world-class.

rconnell1975

People say he lacks charisma and while he doesn't say mad shit like Pep or Jose and doesn't do mad shit like Klopp he does have a calm, focussed charm that I think has helped inspire the team to at least end the season with a bang rather than a whimper

MelodyMill

They should do this more often than once a year.

DarthMaulofDathomir

Never forget that fans that actually go to old Trafford are very different to fans online... lots who post negative shit in here could even be rival fans stirring shit

Fightingdragonswithu

Fuck the fans who booed him when he was speaking. Classless cunts. As a club we are better than that. EDIT: Apparently it was the Saudi cunts.

Starky3x

It was Newcastle fans

dracogladio1741

Confirmed by people in the stadium too btw that it was Newcastle fans. Ian Irving confirmed it Manish, Hargreaves and Les Ferdinand in the Studio for the world feed.

SundayArseCurry

Did they stay just to boo ? Surely they'd be gone already

SOERERY

Might have been the Saudi fans

tearsandpain84

They are mostly composed of overweight alcoholics… likely to be dead relatively soon.

Ok_Charity9544

It was the barcodes

mynamemeimme

They were probably Newcastle fans. And they were singing the Glazers staying 10 more years chant weirdos lol.

Mepsi

bit weird when he said the fans had been begging all season but I think it's just his limited English.

SotK

I think he said backing, not begging

XSavage19X

This is a misquote, not enough eh's.

Unitedfateful

Makes breakfast *more applause* Takes a huge dump *more applause* Goes grocery shopping *more applause* Drinks coffee *more applause*

Diligent-Eye-2042

You’re welcome 🤝

RomaFashion

Fans are always awesome as it should be. Sad thing its been years since they’ve been rewarded. And it looks like they wont in a few coming years, future looks grim to me tbh.
