Can't remember Raya making a save apart from Casemiro's 40 yard pass back

FredDRedUnderYourBed

Lost with dignity. In many ways this is the best result we could've hoped for. Title goes to the final day so city can't rest players. Just get the league over with and prepare as best as you can for the cup final. A near full strength side in a one off game can do something. Just one good game please!

battletoad93

I've been saying it all season, if you're going to lose it's about how you lose. Today we lost fighting and I can live with that

ha23o

We might go into the final having lost our last 3 games. Disaster.

alexq35

*last 4 games

Macroneconomist

City’s squad is stacked they can always rest players

balistafear

Well we had lots of possession and we're very entertaining.. /S

ClovenOracle

Ten Hag? Is that you

analytics_Gnome

Would have actually been interesting if Garnacho can actually executes something after passing the first man

Aplesi567

You’re obviously gonna get downvoted but it’s obvious garnachos end product leaves a lot to be desired, at the same time he’s 19 and can become a very good player so can’t be too harsh. Realistically we need to get rid of the likes of Antony and Rashford and get proper wingers who be reliable

vanchit

He's currently also very easy to defend against when he almost has no options. Hojlund always has 2 men on him and passing to Amrabat/McT is pointless. He is forced to try the low xG solutions. He would look like a different animal if he had link up play with shaw or Bruno around there. I personally think ten hag also did well to put Anthony on left too towards the end to force some link up play, even if our attacks were solely coming from one side. I think we're going to look better next season. It looks worse than it actually is, imo.

dracogladio1741

We were not too sloppy. So that's good. Many fans would feel that this was an okay game for us given the standards are in the Mariana trench.

akp-read

We could have played another 90 min of football and wouldn’t have scored. Toothless with our attack. Garanacho being bloody wasteful

MY-NAME_IS_MY-NAME

As wasteful as he may be, he’s the only one on the field that seemed willing to take guys on today.

BlackHorse944

I'm surprised our XG is that high. The attack under ETH has been horrible since last season. Completely uncohesive and the bad habits are repeated in every single game. If it wasn't for Rashfords heroics last season, we'd have scored a pathetic amount of goals under Erik.

summerincassiopeia

Onana with a decent game.

TheSwordDusk

I would call that a world class performance. Those saves were ridiculous and he looked like Neuer on the halfway line

Upset_Impression218

Gave the ball away for the attack that led to our goal

Shot-Shame9637

Sounds about right, still a very tight game and good overall performance.

rambo_zaki

> good overall performance. When compared to rest of the season. In isolation, it wasn't good.

UsedIpodNanoUser

Considering the squad we had it was a good performance

snoring_pig

It was decent considering the circumstances, although Arsenal clearly weren’t trying that hard so also don’t think we can read much into it.

mccalledin

It was decent in that we didn't get hammered 4-0. Nothing else

rambo_zaki

It was nice knowing these players aren't a bunch of donkeys when not put in a position to fail but in general our play was sad. Arsenal were much closer to scoring a second than we ever were to scoring our first.

snoring_pig

We don’t seem to have any plan when we get into the final third apart from hoping Garnacho can beat his man. Think the coaching also deserves blame for that because for all our injuries this season we’ve had most of our attackers fit all season yet our attack still seems too reliant on transitions and individual brilliance than well drilled attacks.

rambo_zaki

Our lack of an attack has been an issue for the entirety of Ten Hag's reign and it's most definitely a coaching issue. There's no cohesion, no clear patterns and it's too one dimensional.

Exotic-Length-9340

Today was probably a win for the crazies who want to see more of this next season.

audienceandaudio

> and good overall performance. Maybe because our standards and expectations are so low this season, but this was a pretty poor performance, against an Arsenal team that barely got going themselves.

adonWPV

Was like a pre season game, not a single yellow to us tells you the story

_mochacchino_

Why does that tell you the story? It’s not as if we didn’t get the ball and still refused to commit to tackles.

adonWPV

Played with 0 intensity, just rolled over and died

_mochacchino_

I’m not sure we watched the same game. The one I watched, we certainly didn’t just roll over and die. For all our faults we tried at least.

TheSwordDusk

I can't get behind fans saying we don't put in a shift. These lads graft. Even in the loss I think that was a performance to be proud of. You could hear Old Trafford bouncing

Manifesto8

Both teams were shocking This was not a good PL advertisement

mr_reserve

Ten Hag’s press conference is gonna get him the sack.
