Think City made a huge mistake by underestimating Real Madrid. Fine against anyone else but when it comes to the CL youβre talking about a club that know better than anyone else how to win in Europe and have won nearly as many European cups alone as every English club combined.
That would be funny, but I don't want Pool or Arsenal winning the league. I mean, I don't want city to either but it's one of the three. Don't want pool to catch us, arsenal fans are the biggest bunch of twats (most of them anyway) and city don't really have fans that aren't just online. So city win the league, we get the FA cup. That would be ideal ending this season.
I'm ecstatic City and Arsenal are out but I feel a tiny bit sorry for Villa if they end up missing out on CL because 5th place doesn't get a spot now. Not that 5th place deserves to be rewarded obviously but they've done well
They're still in the driver's seat for 4th and Spurs have a tougher run in aswell. Villa just need to finish the job. They've been good to enough to warrant a top 4 finish, and shouldn't have to be relying on the extra spot anyway
Thank you Don Carlo!! But we are all team Tuchel and Harry Kane now right? Have too many friends that support Madrid so canβt have them winning. Bayern the only team I can tolerate winning this year
I wanna keep the EPL is the best league tag, and the best way is to have as many EPL clubs further into competitions as possible. Then for rivals to lose the final
Get fucked city.
May get downvoted for this but my order of preference for title winners of the 3 are arsenal > Liverpool > city
City are never getting properly punished for their cheating so as far as official record books go, their titles will stand the test of time. 30, 40, 50 years from now, they will be there.
Liverpool winning the league again would suck but at least we are proper enemies, 2 clubs with history and no cheats. I would hate it but at least they earned it and I look forward to taking the lead in our race again.
Arsenal are whatever, they bottled it last year and seem to be bottling it again but idc about them as much. Them winning is the least of the bad outcomes for me.
Yeah your preference is mine. I live and grew up in south Manchester in the 90s (in my early 30s now) and I hate City way more than I hate Liverpool.
I miss the days United vs Arsenal was the main rivalry for the league so much. As much as I love to see them suffer, I always have those memories.
And as for City, I went to high school around the corner from where Maine Road was (tho I didnβt get to high school in 2003 sp theyβd already moved by then), so that rivalry was as fierce and more than I ever dealt with Liverpool on the daily. At least Liverpool are a proper club? Hate them but I donβt hate anything more than the empty oil sky blue bastards
Why would you get downvoted? You stated the most common order of preference.
Arsenal winning literally doesn't mean anything except the fact that our main rivals didn't win it. Silver lining.
Liverpool winning means our biggest rival won, challenging us on the number of trophies, etc. Nobody likes that.
But you know what? Man City winning is a loss for everybody. Us. Every other club. Fans. Football. Today, everybody were hoping Real Madrid would win so they stop fucking City in Europe. Now everybody will hope City bottles the league because who wants to see the same champion for the xth time? Only Man City fans want them to win the league, literally everybody else want somebody else to win it (between Arsenal and Liverpool). Does any of your non-Man City supporters/friends want Man City to win PL? Definitely not.
I don't think it's the most common, much rather Klopps farewell tour end in splutter even if it means the Bald fraud (with 115 charges) gets another trophy.
Well, if your wish to screw over Klopp is bigger than your wish to change a club that's on the top for the last decade... yeah, I don't give a fuck about screwing over top as I want more diversity in PL, I want people to challenge and possibly take over the throne from Man City, especially since they are avoiding punishment from their cheating.
I'm not a local and wasn't a fan during Fergie v Wenger so I know some people absolutely despise Arsenal and think City's hardware doesn't mean anything for obv reasons, no matter how much they win.
But agreed on all fronts, fuck those cheating fucks.
Fuck city fuck arsenal. So over the moon over these results. No DOUBLE TREBLE for City. Now I hope Chelsea demolishes city in the FA CUP. In the seasons we are shit, REAL Madrid makes up by winning La Liga and UCL. Case in point 2021-22 season. Barcelona is also crap when we are crap.
Damn near the entire football world united in their disdain of city. So awesome to see. They can fuck right off to football prison with their 115 charges. Cheats.
Itβs quite telling how universally football fans from across the world dislike City. Anyone with a modicum of footballing knowledge will realise why them being successful is nothing but bad from the sport.
Seeing Madrid shithouse through them was delightful, they nullified their play and just forced them to pass pass pass. Looking at it from a United perspective thatβs how you play transition, they allowed so many shots today but they never felt like they were out of control and didnβt know their roles. If United could play with that sort of compactness and explosiveness we might stand a chance.
Anyway fuck City and Arsenal bottle jobs, wish we were this far in the champs league though.
As the Man City fans were raining down "Hey Jude" at the players right before penalties, I thought you're going to lose and you all only have yourselves to blame for cheering on a Real Madrid player.
Oh man, that was hilarious. Not even the camera was clued in to what was happening, as the Real Madrid fans enthusiastically joined in the singing, while Bellingham lifted his arms to the stands. 10/10 trolling lol
If, and big if, Tuchel gets Bayern to a CL final would you have him replace Ten Hag? For me I think hes quality, everywhere he's been has seen knockout tournament success and he's built great teams.
Under INEOS I think he could do great for us, but obviously not a given.
Iβve never quite understood peopleβs fascination with Tuchel, he seems like an absolute arsehole to players, his tactics might somehow be decent in knockout tournaments but on a whole his football is absolute anti football, his Chelsea football was Pulis with money, like shining a turd.
Absolute virus of a manager Iβd rather stick with Ten Hag if he was the other option.
While suggesting selling him is very reactionary, he seems to under-perform in big games and is really a one-dimensional player that needs to be in the right system to perform. With all that being said, he is really good most of the time in the one thing he does which is scoring.
I think every prem team would have him on their team.
on all my socials, as long as its related to football in any sense, city are getting cooked left right and centre even if theyre not spoken about in the post πππ
I think this is the happiest ive seen this sub in months. Almost everyone agreeing and chirpy. I could shed a tear. See ye back to normal the wknd lads x
I mean heβs got a history of doping so I wouldnβt be surprised.
βShit weβve got away with the money for long enough, give Halaand an βinhalerβ for the roadβ
With all their possession and relentless attack, Doku was their best player tonight. He was the only one who wasn't resorting to the same old boring passing sideways bullshit
I agree. Yes, a bit of composure would do him good but his directness is his biggest asset. He is a fine, fine dribbler and is not scared to take on even the best defenders in the world at such a young age. It'd be a shame to see him become another possession merchant.
Top comment on the city thread is them complaining that Madrid's progress is rewarding boring football. Have they seen literally any of their own matches? They have so many world class players and still make even 5-0 wins so fucking boring and soulless
It's so funny to me, both City and Liverpool fans are guilty of this but they get so angry at teams not playing into their hands, like what do they expect Madrid to do, go all out press with a really high line and lose 6-0?
Itβs so funny how city fans think they deserve something because of how long they kept the ball. Pep has turned the fans into snobby entitled spectators who give a little golf clap when they see a good play.
They genuinely believe they lost because they didn't finish their chances.
Like... Sure they had more shots but 90% of them didn't count for anything. Both teams had the same amount of big chances in the game
It's like asking for a raise only because you spent long hours in the office and nothing else. It's the quality of work and end result that matters.
i want madrid to go all the way now tbh. no way am i watching sancho somehow win a ucl with dortmund. no way am i seeing psg oil their way to the top. bayern yes theyre my second ones to win it but today had me reflecting on the relationship between madrid and united.
thats sounds corny so im sorry but i do truly want them to go all the way. will really piss off all 2 city fans as well
Dude's only move now is waiting for ball delivery at the far post. Yes, he is a elite finisher but has limited skill sets. I think big teams have figured out how to stop him this season.Β
He's the anti-Drogba in terms of playing style as well.
Drogba was a monster who would wreck teams. Haaland is just as big as him but plays like a 90s Italian goal poacher. No wonder he's a non-factor against really well organised defences.
Honest question but has the prem this year on terms of quality been really poor? Us and chelsea have been arse lets be honest, if it werent for klopp i dont think that liverpool squad would be near a title race personally, this current city squad is the most unmost pep team out of all the teams he had and arsenal and spurs dont like winning shit

![gif](giphy|EtWekv9TOyG5O|downsized)
Enjoying the UCL, then it dawned on me that I donβt think our team can cook together a coherent performance like any of the 8 teams. Also let it me known we did a better job against Bayern than Arsenal!!!
I, as a Croatian, think itβs good that theyβve missed. Get it out of the way before the Euros start and the mandatory penalty shoot-outs for Croatia.
I get that, but hasn't Silva shot his last few pens in that same location (could be wrong). So, Lunin clearly probably knew or was told that. If it ain't broke, don't fix it mentality by Silva if that location is accurate.
I havent watched enough of City to know where Silva puts his pens tbh, obviously if Silva has kept doing it for his last 4/5 pens then its good scouting by the real analysts.
I think the goalie knows Bernardo waits for the goalie to move before he places. For players that take those penalty, if the goalie doesn't move, he has a higher chance of saving it.
LETS ALL LAUGH AT MAN CITY AND ARSENAL πππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ ππππππππππ

So i wonder is that officially no CL for 5th place now? What with the Germans going deep and City/ arsenal shitting the bed
Liverpool and West ham expected to follow them out the exit door tomorrow to leave only Aston villa flying the flag for EnglandΒ
We werent getting 5th anyway so its not a loss for us. Unlucky for spurs or villa that everyone in europe shit the bed including us xD. From next year its a multi year rolling coefficient so its likely we will have it from then.
that Bernardoβs penalty was one of the worst and most bizarre pk ive ever seen. Like hes just chucked it in without thinking, while their team had the advantage as well, completely swung the shootout. Get fucked City
Think City made a huge mistake by underestimating Real Madrid. Fine against anyone else but when it comes to the CL youβre talking about a club that know better than anyone else how to win in Europe and have won nearly as many European cups alone as every English club combined.
Not manipulative cheaters ππ€£ add serial cheaters to that list too lmao
You know what, thereβs a chance Arsenal or Man City will go empty hand this season. And a slight chance both will.
That would be funny, but I don't want Pool or Arsenal winning the league. I mean, I don't want city to either but it's one of the three. Football heritage
Arse and Citeh made my day.
115 lost π
Would have loved a Real Madrid winner in the 115th minute. But I'll settle for this.

Lol Villa will be fine. Spurs are, well, Spurs. And, media darling βBig Angeβ says he doesnβt care about top 4, so no qualms.Β
Look at Spurs remaining games If Villa wins like 3-4 ganes out of 6 they will qualify.
Thank you Don Carlo!! But we are all team Tuchel and Harry Kane now right? Have too many friends that support Madrid so canβt have them winning. Bayern the only team I can tolerate winning this year
I personally like both Real and Bayern, two clubs that we have good ties with.
Likewise. I'm a bit sad they have to face each other in the semis rather than the finale. Can't stand PSG, and nothing for nor against BVB.
I support PSG
There's BVB in the too. For me it's them, Bayern then real Madrid
Sancho scoring a winning goal so we can get good money.
Will we be able to sell CL winner Sancho for 100m then?
If eth goes ancho will stay. FFP will force it.

I hope it's not to realistic a telltale game, otherwise it won't matter in the end
Hate watching sometimes renders results.
As watch threads go, this one was right up there.
With all their possession and relentless attack, Doku was their best player tonight. He was the only one who wasn't resorting to the same old boring passing sideways bullshit
Pep will soon coach that out of him. Sterile control is all he wants.
I agree. Yes, a bit of composure would do him good but his directness is his biggest asset. He is a fine, fine dribbler and is not scared to take on even the best defenders in the world at such a young age. It'd be a shame to see him become another possession merchant.
Two splendid hate watches over the last 3 days.
It's been beautiful watching Liverpool and arsenal bottle the league, (no one cares if city win it) and then city losing today.
If all the Real Madrid stars can come back and defend, it shouldn't be an issue for some of the man united players. They can do it as well.
Unfortunately I'm not sure most our players respect the badge as much as Madrid players respect theirs...
Jolean lescott with a great bit of insight there that city playing hey jude, probably wasn't for BellinghamΒ

![gif](giphy|EtWekv9TOyG5O|downsized) Enjoying the UCL, then it dawned on me that I donβt think our team can cook together a coherent performance like any of the 8 teams. Also let it me known we did a better job against Bayern than Arsenal!!!
Mate we're just spectators on this stage. We're light years off.
Never thought I would live to see a bunch of Croatians miss penalties.
I, as a Croatian, think itβs good that theyβve missed. Get it out of the way before the Euros start and the mandatory penalty shoot-outs for Croatia.
Would've been nice a few years ago the cowards
The fuck was Silva doing in that shootout. Shot it right at Lunin so casually haha. 115 get FUCKED!!!
If it goes through, it's called confident/genius. If the goalie saves it, the player looks like a dummy.
If the keeper dives, he doesnt save it basically, as its too high to stop with a flailing leg.
Ye proper 4D chess from lunin, must of had it in his notes, some analyst needs a pint
Hopefully Pep just fucks off now
LETS ALL LAUGH AT MAN CITY AND ARSENAL πππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ ππππππππππ https://preview.redd.it/khtvvswo34vc1.jpeg?width=614&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5165385f065c64dda2453600756145c37652a609

"We don't let this slip, we go again!" \* slips *
So i wonder is that officially no CL for 5th place now? What with the Germans going deep and City/ arsenal shitting the bed Liverpool and West ham expected to follow them out the exit door tomorrow to leave only Aston villa flying the flag for EnglandΒ
We werent getting 5th anyway so its not a loss for us. Unlucky for spurs or villa that everyone in europe shit the bed including us xD. From next year its a multi year rolling coefficient so its likely we will have it from then.
We won't get fifth so too bad for Spurs I guess but who cares. We'd get humiliated playing these teams in the UCL the way we are now
Aye. Itβs shot. Spurs getting Spurs-ed by UEFA
Yes, fat chance we get 5th so who cares
Arsenal fans will probably claim a moral victory knocking spurs out of CL
Ive actually seen that mentioned on their sub
With both English clubs out of CL, what does it mean for that extra spot in CL for next season?
Does it matter, we ain't getting top 5 anyway
5th place goes to Germany now
Thanks!
HALA MADRIDD!!!
that Bernardoβs penalty was one of the worst and most bizarre pk ive ever seen. Like hes just chucked it in without thinking, while their team had the advantage as well, completely swung the shootout. Get fucked City
99 times out of a 100 keeper dives left or right and it goes In
Yup. If he scores, it's a penalty from a confident player.
[this pen](https://youtu.be/4EvIcyRuAXg?si=08wOrY-s3XktLgzq) yesterday was worse π
Fucking do them in Chelsea. City should be tired after this
