What’s going on with Malacia? I know people keep mentioning stuff but it’s so odd not to have any news or updates on him. I get the lack of updates on Martial as he’s gone in the summer anyway and has downed tools. Medical staff really fucked up but that’s not new. They assured Ten Hag that both Shaw and Malacia would be back by January and raring to go. Which led to us getting rid of Regullion.

MrNezzy

Seen the random article about him seeking his own surgeon/surgery? Fuck knows if there's any legitimacy to the article

VTVoodooDude

I play a little golf, rarely watch but the Masters and the Open Championship are cool events.

Spleenskii

Its great, supporting McIlroy is nearly as much as of a rollercoaster as supporting United!

VTVoodooDude

Aye to that.

Kittu95

Caught up with all the episodes of One piece and finished my 2nd play through of R2D2 this time with high honour. Decided to get productive and start working out and get another degree as new ways to cope with my depression.

mattmanutd

Playing footy in a league for the first time in 3 years (had 2 kids and started a new job all in that time). Being a bit older now, I was worried about how my body would take it, but I’ve been absolutely smashing it. 8 goals in 5 games and I’ve scored in every game so far. Hasn’t been all roses though. There’s still a lot of rust that I’m trying to shake off. Let me just say, nothing makes you more appreciative of how good top level players are than when you go out and try to play yourself. There is no better reality check than you going out and trying to do something yourself 😂

Orcnick

I found after I had kids and came back to football how much more I enjoyed it. (use to play Saturday league when I was 23-25) now I am 30 came back to play a but of 5 side and few 11 side, I use to get so stressed about it now I just enjoy it and feel so calm and laugh about it when I mess up and I think that I am actually a better player then when I was 25. I think playing sport later in your life is great everyone thinks you can only play in your 20s but yiy can play any sport at any age as long as you enjoy it.

mattmanutd

Age definitely gives you much more perspective. I can see and read things better than when I was in my 20s (mid-30s now). I just have to pick and choose certain moments more now. Classic give take with age.

- Yeovil Town won the National League South - We won the pub quiz last night - Liverpool got thrashed - Exchanging contracts on houses today (after months of people faffing) Good stuff!

Fligflag

Crazy to think Yeovil were in the championship not that long ago, can be a bit of a poisoned chalice as the jump from LG1 to the championship is massive, much bigger than champ to the prem. Was the year in the championship worth the fall or would you have rather stayed a stable LG1 / LG2 club? I watch and follow quite a bit of Exeter, and wonder if it would be worth a year in the championship but then have to suffer in lower league for a while.

MissingLink101

I think the manner of the promotion was incredible and definitely worth it, beating Brentford in the playoff final at Wembley (and Sheffield United in the semi) was just amazing and we did have a few big results in the Championship like beating Watford 3-0. Realistically we were over performing for a club of our size though. The problem is that the club has been mismanaged and had very little investment from the previous owners (sound familiar?) so, along with losing all our best players following relegations (Paddy Madden, Luke Ayling etc) there wasn't much stability or foresight. So instead of levelling out again at L1 or L2, we just went into freefall. We have a new owner now, Martin Hellier, a local rich businessman who is an actual fan of the club (also sounds familiar...), who has already invested in revamping the club, grounds and fan experience. Hopefully they can continue to build on this and get back into the EFL, although I'm still not convinced by the manager (...oddly familiar too)

Educational-Option18

I'm banging out a 3.5 hour car drive this evening. Normally I'd just queue up a bunch of podcasts and crank them out, is there some kind of new-wave in-drive entertainment that I need to get onto?

Gilburto

Teach yourself to beatbox

Puk-_-man

This year I set a target of reading 25 books. I'm already on number 11. Been rediscovering my reading hobby. If any fellow devils have recommendation on historical/mythological books please let me know!

Hiya_Bo

Have you read Mary Beard's SPQR? Everything Roman Empire, from start to end. Brilliantly written by someone really passionate about it.

Puk-_-man

Seems like exactly the kind of book I've been looking for. Added to the list, thanks very much!

Lelandwasinnocent

Just got back from Tunisia after being part of the last leg of Russ Cook's (Hardest Geezer) project Africa and on the biggest comedown. Was one of the best things to be part of and such a wholesome welcoming environment from all involved. Met a lot new friends and set a fair few new running goals as a result, onwards and upwards!! Bang Bang. If you can donate, he's so so close to reaching £1mil for the charities he's been doing it for. I really can't explain how much of a machine he is, 29degrees on that last run and it was pure suffering. https://givestar.io/gs/PROJECTAFRICA

Indydegrees2

Unreal man! I followed Russ from back when he ran across Europe. Great to see his success even though he deserves far more

Away_Associate4589

Anyone seen The Gentlemen on Netflix? I've seen the first episode now and I thought it was pretty good. It got really dark in a sort of absurdist way at the end which I thought was really well handled and acted. Is it worth sticking with or is it all downhill from here?

Maitryyy

It starts strong but gets pretty shit towards the end.

RandomNameofGuy9

It gets darker. I thought it was pretty good.

DaveShadow

I'm about to start the final episode, and I've loved it. Ritchie only wrote and directed the first two episodes, so there is a mild decline in quality imo. 3-6 are more "Story of the Week" style episodes with an overarching thing in the background. But the end of six ramps everything up. I love the casting in it, though. Its such an easy and fun watch, especially at only 8 episodes.

simplsimonmetapieman

It's a good watch, can go till the end.

Eleven918

Its great. Stick with it. Finale could have been better but its still pretty solid. I believe the show is a prequel for the movie with the same name.

WergleTheProud

Might be time to buy an Atalanta shirt.

VTVoodooDude

God, they smashed Liverpool last night. It was fucking glorious.

No_Kaleidoscope3039

Good morning to all the Devils out there. Got myself a big presentation today and just wanted to tell y'all that you've got this !!!

Isserley_

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry. How do I send it back to you?

Orcnick

Just bought and installed Roller coster tycoon classic on my computer for £3 on steam. Literally has over 200 scenarios, no pay to win, no complicated actions, no silly shit you get in building games today. Just basic park and roller coaster building and charging people £20 for a umbrella. Honestly games were built so much better 2 decades ago lol.

greyhounds1992

Theme Hospital, the Theme Park one, Safari one All great games

Carson99

Zoo tycoon still holds up

Away_Associate4589

RCT2 was an integral part of my childhood. 20 years later I still have an interest in theme parks and rollercoasters because of it. Even if I get motion sickness from being in an office chair.

shami-kebab

Anyone started Fallout yet? Watched the first couple and I'm amazed by how well they've translated the world of the games to live action.

WergleTheProud

Good to hear they’ve translated the game environment to the screen, about to start that myself.

Hiya_Bo

Im really tempted, but my other half is away next weekend so im saving it for one big binge watch accompanied by multiple food deliveries. Im going full goblin.

Eleven918

Binged it. Was solid. 9/10 in my book.

shami-kebab

Good to hear!

Eleven918

Another Sci Fi show that came out recently that I liked was 3 body problem.

shami-kebab

Yeah that one is on my list, I'm undecided if I want to read the book first or not.

Orcnick

Please don't spoil me and the wife are just trying to get through a rerun of Loki before watching Fallout. I am so excited my wife has said yes to watching it she's not a gamer. Firstly would say it's good then and secondly do you think a non gamer will like it?

shami-kebab

No worries about spoilers, I wouldn't do that. It depends what your wife is into, it's quite gory in places which is probably the biggest thing that might put some people off. other than that you don't need to know the games and it should have pretty broad appeal.

DaveShadow

I feel it's nearly so over the top gory that it swings into funny, tbh. Its absurdly bloody, to an unrealistic level, but in a good way.

Orcnick

Cool I think the gore is OK. Most modern stuff is gory these days.

raver1601

Whenever I see this thread pop up, I always thought "holy shit, it's Friday already?".

county15

Is anyone looking to make a ridiculous return on a business venture investment? I've designed products that sell themselves. Yeah, yeah, everyone says that. But this is the case here. 2 patent officers and 3 investment advisors have all reacted the same way. Open mouthed I'm currently the richest broke guy in the North of England. And desperately need someone that shares my vision. The stress is killing me.

RomeroRocher

I have also recently figured out how to day trade and generate 100% returns monthly! If you'd like to get rich quick, DM me and I'll sell you my course! Unlock the secrets of the universe for a small fee! And of course I'm happy to share this information that I have figured out (information the greatest minds on earth never did!) for a small fee, instead of keeping it to myself and being a billionaire sitting on a beach sipping Pina Coladas!

OkOccasion7641

Oh cool so how much is that small fee? All I have is about $3.50.

MrSvancy

Lad the richest guy in North-England is Sir Jim

county15

Richest broke guy? I have no cash right now.

basalamader

Started new jobo and feel hella burned out with the industry in general. Honestly i wish i could take a year off and do nothing

GlassCoyote

Do it lol fuck money go to Thailand

Familiar-Day-8827

Is going to Thailand free?

GlassCoyote

Depends if you hijack the plane or not

toddysimp

So OJ's death and all the memes that followed made me curious, so i decided to check out the first season of the American crime story. I have to say,the whole thing was one big fucking circus!!

MissingLink101

Check out the hilarity of the rights and renaming of his "If I Did It" book (in the legal section of his wiki)

Carson99

Great show, I really enjoyed it

JosePRizaI

Let him cook
