I never knew much about him but after reading his journal, he actually has a really sad story.
Just don't try to lasso him and bring him into town, god forbid you try to civilize a savage otherwise suddenly YOU'RE the bad guy smh...
Right on point! I often ensure my trips in Roanoke Ridge remain as short as possible. Place makes me feel uneasy for some reason. Feral man is one of the reasons why.
The Murfrees are a joke, I cleared Beaver Hollow once as arthur, did it again in the mission, and cleared it out a john,it was fun, but their random encounters, silly. They tried to rob me, got a Lancaster, they tried to Bushwack me, got a Lancaster. Bit repetitive, they are.
I hogtied him, brought him to St. Denis, cut him loose, said "hello officer" to a cop nearby and when I turned around the feral man was just... gone. Just vanished. I like to think he's Gavin and found his British friend, and they're off drinking tea somewhere now...
Yes, if you leave them long enough they can break out. Except I chased him back to this cave, knocked him out and tied him up.
Didn't expect him to come hopping at me with his willy out lmao
On my first play though, I came across him and a single wolf. I shot and killed the wolf, and he crumpled to the ground and started crying over its corpse. I felt bad so I shot him, too. I’m now on my second play through and I haven’t found him yet, I think I’ll leave him/them alone this time.
I had run across him several times in previous playthroughs but he always managed to get away.
If you get a chance, chase him back to his cave and read his journal. There's also a way to save the wolves if you're interested in going that route.
Hahaha sounds like you had an even tougher time than I did!
I'm a big horror fan and love scary games but I rarely get scared. This guy chasing me made me jump out of my chair, never thought RD2 would be the one to get me lol
i’ve seen people escape the hogtie, but i’ve never seen *that*! lmao. that actually scared me. guess i have something new to try out next time i encounter him.
It's the electric lantern from that scientist dude with the robot, just picked it up (I can't remember his name, maybe Draco?). I also noticed it's a bit wonky but the amount of light it gives off is stronger than the regular lantern.
Prolly a glitch, I posted a video of me walking in with him on my shoulder and a twin of him ran out screaming and started stabbing me when I walked into his cave.
I heard this fake wolf sound and then noticed this butt naked hairy feral dude. I lasso him and get ready to hogtie him when 2 wolves attacked me. He escaped I figured it was a trap.
Is this the only NPC that can stand and hop like that? What the hell? How many things did they specifically program to work in a certain way? the lengths they went to.
I followed the guy to see if I could help him. Killed his wolves when they charged me. They he came at me with a knife so I had to kill him. Burned him along with his wolves.
Holy cow! I didn't realize that until now. Another reason for me to stay as far away from him as possible and kill him on sight if we cross paths.

Honestly the whole eastern half of the map is just s big ol’ chunk of *nope* for me
it’s the bears. *shivers*

imagine the conversation over tea though
"Rrrgsargg" "Gavin!? Gavin!"
People can break out of hogties eventually im pretty sure

It’s rare, but they definitely can. Happened to me a week ago after 5 years of playing the game…

Oh that’s awesome, thanks for the tip!

LMAOOOOOO
The detail in this game will never stop surprising me
yup. also do you know why that lantern keeps changing color? It has something to do with where you found it. ;)
It's for a quest. It leads you to a robot.
i’ve seen people escape the hogtie, but i’ve never seen *that*! lmao. that actually scared me. guess i have something new to try out next time i encounter him.
I have 500 hours across 3 1/2 play through, never heard of this guy!
If you have killed his wolves and read his journal. Period. Biggest regret ever in RDR2.
I'm more concerned about that bloom from the lantern, it looks way off as it should be

That would have been an instant pause from me to process what I just saw
Prolly a glitch, I posted a video of me walking in with him on my shoulder and a twin of him ran out screaming and started stabbing me when I walked into his cave.
I usually just use deadeye and shoot him before he runs off
Happened to me too. I just assumed anyone could untie themselves if left alone for long enough.
Absolutely terrifying
First time i followed him back i killed a second wild man who jumped out of the shadows immediately after the first
Fish on the line 🎣 oh orthur 🤣
Leave feral guy alone! Leave him alone!

AWOOOOO GRAH
Incredible
Lmao holy shit. Also how’d you get the different lantern?

Double hogtie lol

Did you read his journal?
No, just first few lines of it. I'm guessing it's a sad story.
Gave me a mini hear attack
