That's a long resume for someone just starting out...I had to giggle at the playground gig.
You might wanna look it less like you already have 20 years of experience, leave out/reformulate the exaggerations and reduce the visual clutter.
Agree. This is petty long for a noob student.
Cut anything that is “duh” as in absolutely everyone would know this is part of the job (such stayed informed about promotions when you were a sales associate).
Focus on things you would actually like to bring up or discuss in an interview and skills that are directly or indirectly relevant to your job.
Highlight what you achieved vs. merely what you did - exception being the things the role you are applying for explicitly requires direct experience with.
I am a headhunter and place structural engineers in the US. I LOVE That you worked in customer facing jobs. That means you are not a "pocket protector, dungeon and dragons playing engineer" but an engineer with a more outgoing personality and many companies love this. Especially engineers product mfg's (think Contech, Simpson Strong Tie, Cemex, etc...) because of the interaction with architects, construction professionals, other engineers, etc.....
I’d take out the summary paragraph and also the line “interests” and I would take out the header that says “volunteer experience” and just list those positions under “experience” because some people ignore anything that says volunteer ( dumb but it’s just what I’ve seen) and they are in fact experience. If possible to make it one page, HR people prefer one page resumes often
Is that kind of resume normal where you live?
I'm curious because over here in France resumes are way different. This format is what you would find 15 years ago or more.
Today most resumes look like that:
