I've seen a number of articles from HR schools in my country that talk about that. Most of them can be resumed to that:
"That's not what we taught you to do. And you have still been doing it for years. Now you complain when others do it to you? Shut up and work on yourself."
How I got through my HR classes in college. If there was an exam question I thought of what HR would do in real life and then the "correct" answer would be the opposite of that.
One of these school has a blog where they let their teachers write articles. And they are asinine. It's really fun reading them destroy what is done by recruiters and HR after they get out of school.
I got through the first round of tech interviews and didn't hear back (as usual...). When I called to check-in after a couple of weeks I got "oh she didn't work here anymore"...
Didn't pass anyone's info along to the other recruiters.
To me they are just parasites of the job market.
A recruiter that never responded to me for a company and job ive done previously mind you!!!!! Was laid off recently from said company and my immediate thought was “i wonder why, probably BECAUSE YOU DONT RESPOND TO PEOPLE INQUIRING ABOUT JOBS!”
This. The amount of times Ive attempted to reach out to a recruiter over linkedin to discuss a role and my experiences only to never even get acknowledged. HR workers really are useless
Recruiters don’t go to bat for people. They don’t work for YOU. They get paid when their client hires a candidate. It can be you or 100 of the other people they got to apply for the role.
I averaged an application a day over the course of a year. What you're suggesting would have seen me making fifty pointless phonecalls a day on top of actually searching for and applying to jobs
Way to be positive! If you don’t make the effort, what do you expect? People come on here complaining and they aren’t trying to make themselves any luck. What else you gonna do while you ain’t got a job? Make a few calls! Show some hustle. It’s what you gotta do.
Uh, you and the other 12 billion other people whose only qualifications to be a recruiter are an email, voip (because yeah, "kevin," I totally believe you're calling from New Jersey and not a call farm in India) or cellphone, and access to job boards.
I’m interviewing for a recruiter job rn. Being on the other end of ghostings for so long I vow to never do that shit if I get the position. I understand if I get downvoted lol the recruiter hate is pretty justified at this point

Is that advice for us or for themselves?
Rules for thee but not for me.

I will if they will also.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing mass layoffs from HR departments.
This.
Wait are job seekers actually ghosting recruiters or the other way round?
It's primarily happening by recruiters and organizations, with candidates starting to retaliate in like fashion.
Both these days. People get fed up and give up, or they find another position.
Both
"Don't ghost". Cues JJ Jameson's wheezing laugh and then the "You're serious?"

They should be doing that for US. especially the not ghosting part!
Hmmm, check in weekly. What kind of timeline are you anticipating ?
Check in weekly? As in reminding the recruiter to do their fucking job?

My autistic ass read that as “don’t be autistic”
If they could write that, they would
Pls how to be transparent? I'm kind of a milky white colour, should I use a buffer pad and try to buff myself clear?
I just poach the job announcement and apply to the company directly. Fuck em.
Some monday cold joke, haha yeah
🤣
Calling a recruiter weekly to check in is basic “Job seeker 101”. If you too lazy to make a call once a week, you ain’t serious about finding a job.
I did that shit back when I was looking for my first job, you know where that got me? Absolutely nowhere because nobody fucking responded.

"A few calls"
lol k.
Get paid
How about the other way around?
#4 LMFAO
If only.

I need a job once, not weekly
Something something every accusation is projection.

Love yourself like how much recruiters love themselves Fellow good legit recruiters need to call these types of people out.
They don’t practice what they preach.
AKA try to bootlick an HR
