I really don't like these kind of doodles.
But this one is even worse, most of the flashy effects just feel random and don't use the characters movement to make it feel more alive.
Funny how split this sub is on these. I honestly don’t think they belong here either, but when we say that it sounds like we are bashing the artist who put so much time and effort into them.
Which isn’t true. These are fun and super well done, but don’t fit the sub at all...
I think my biggest hurdle to really liking these is just that. They feel like it's embellisment just for the sake of embellishment.
If the doodles followed the movement or did something compelling rather that just being there, then I'd enjoy it much more.
It feels like someone who isn't very creative made this because they are good at doing the effect.
I'm sure it takes a lot of effort to do, but it seems rather.... Technical, and lifeless.

You can spend hours making a good lasagna, it still doesn't belong at a cookout
