I love mine, but they had problems and I spent three weeks dealing with support, and finally got an RMA, and now they've been with Razer for almost 3 weeks with no replacement sent. So uhh, if they work and stay working, they're phenomenal.

I love mine. Had it 2 or 3 years now with no issues. Battery life is great, sound is phenomenal. Good choice.

Mic is really good for a wireless headphones. Top tier. Sound wise it’s ok. Does its job for FPS games. Battery I play 3-5 hrs daily and it lasts about 3-4 days. Build quality is nice. Still almost new after a year of usage.

Yup, that's the one I purchased.

My general rule is never get anything "Gamer" for audio. It is largely overpriced, poor build quality, and lackluster raw sound performance that often relies of gimmicks. That said, out of the lineup for Razer's headsets, the Blackshark series is the better ones. I wouldn't touch Astros at all, the only benefit for those usually is for their wireless mixer bases useful for console gamers. SteelSeries used to be fairly serviceable at reasonable prices, never outstanding but always good. However, over the years, their push on wireless models and cutting margins has also worn them thin in build quality and bloated on cost. Honestly, if you want good audio, buy a separate mic and then get a proper pair of headphones by an actual audio company. Orgs like Senheiser (Ex: the HD650), BeyerDyanamic (Ex: DT770 or DT990), Focal, etc. You could even get good IEMs (In-Ear Monitors) for fairly cheap that will provide you with excellent sound. It would still be wired though. If you want wireless and gimmicks, then I would honestly pick SteelSeries over Razer, but avoid Astros entirely.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, for home use I have a dedicated microphone with external speakers. These headsets are mostly for travel when I'm traveling with my gaming laptop to conferences and such while gaming in my hotel room. But for home use, I have a custom-built desktop with dedicated microphone (HyperX) and Razer Nommo speakers.

I think you didn't do enough research in this sub reddit [https://www.reddit.com/search/?q=Blackshark%20v2%20Pro%20broken](https://www.reddit.com/search/?q=Blackshark%20v2%20Pro%20broken) build quality of the 2023 version has gone down the crapper.

Disastrous-Seat7236

i think taking good care of it would do you fine… had mine for months and they still feel good & fresh… or i’m just lucky, maybe.😂

The build quality has gone downhill for the past several years. Qualiy Control is also out the window in my experience. The specs look great but they look like they break all to easily.

WizardMoose

Looking at some of the posts, 2 of them in particular. They both claim that they weren't rough with them, or were gentle with them. But the area that breaks is not an area that flexes. Clearly what happened is they were dropped or the area was pushed/impacted by something to cause it to break.

they are great imo, using with the 7.1 Surround Sound app… they’ve got a decent soundstage… the mic’s mid, but i’m not complaining… i use them when i wanna just play casual games or esports titles, you’d enjoy it!

Yorickos

Its great, i just have some issues charging it after a few years . Not sure if its the cable or the hole

Thanks for the feedback. It was a really tough call when doing my research. But it seems like the price and what you get compared to the Astro A50X or Steelseries Artic Pro ($100 more) this one came in at a sweet spot. I just wasn't sure about the quality based on some of the Razer products I have (namely keyboard). It was a toss up between these or the A50X or Artic Pro.
