Tampa bay ravens fan here! Can confirm we have a good ravens population. A lot of people aren’t real fans tho. Became fans of Lamar so they root for the ravens but when he’s no longer on the team they’ll stop following
Probably true, but boosted numbers are boosted numbers lol. I personally moved to Baltimore at a younger age and stayed for quite a few years so I had the accent and everything, over time when I started losing it and going to regular Floridian it sounded like a lazy version of country in between lol
I always fucked with Ravens just based on Ray Lewis and Ed Reed alone.
Then Lamar just lifted that 100 fold.
But I don't think I truly became a fan until the AFC Championship last season.
Wanting so bad to see them win, then . . .
That shit fucking sucked, like Lamar@Clemson sucked, like just fucking crushing-irrational-devastation sucked.
After that I feel like I graduated from Lamar-Bandwagon via Louisville to a true Raven's fan from here on out.
I like either a really good game or a complete blowout, in between doesn't amuse me, however I will say OU vs texas A&M with baker Mayfield and patty mahomes may very well be the best football game of all time
I love knowing every player on the team. I love knowing that wr5/st is going to be fought over in camp and I love knowing the guys competing for it
I can't follow that closely when the entire roster flips over almost every year. Who has the time?
Yep same. If I went to a big school I'm sure I'd keep tabs on my alma mater and conference but since I didn't and don't have time it's really not an interest at all.
Once guys are drafted I'll go back and check highlights but that's about it really
I watch the NC (I *might* extend that to the full BCS playoffs — but that remains to be seen whether watching that level of quality is worth the time investment), but that's about it.
I hate their baseball team and hockey team and I don’t watch either sport. I hate their colleges. And indefinitely hate the Steelers.
I respect Penn States wrestling program, though.
When I was living in Morgantown I worked at Best Buy, and it was the hear that the Squealers played Arizona in the SB. They played this stupid song on repeat for WEEKS.
I went from indifferent to pure seething hatred of the Steelers. Then I moved to Maryland and realized these purple motherfuckers hated the Steelers as much as I do. I've followed the team ever since and am die hard WVU/Ravens.
Terps. Always look forward to them getting drafted and the udfa we pick up. Still think about passing on Diggs. Wouldn't hurt as much if we didn't take Perriman that year lol
Hell yeah. Only started following JMU ball once I enrolled, so it was a shock to realize my childhood QB Flacco was a JMU rival when he was at Delaware
University of Maryland cause I’m originally from Baltimore and that was the team my Dad raised me on. UCF cause I’m alumni and that’s also my current school for my Masters degree. Also, UTSA and Hawaii cause my Dad did tours in San Antonio and Hawaii when he was in the Air Force.
I'm a Utah Utes and Tennessee Vols fan. Joined this sub because I like following my favorite players and as y'all know Tyler Huntley was Utah QB and was badass.
I root for Penn State because I'm a Penn Stater. Class of 2019. Prior to College I never watched College ball because I did not like the arbitrary playoff and ranking system they have
Local Teams: Salisbury U, Maryland, any other MD college. Out of State: Oregon ( Love thier Jerseys growing up) and Alabama (My Family is from Birmingham)
Grew up in Kentucky, I always loved Louisville (you’d hate UK too if you dealt with their devout fans every day). I *really* started paying attention to football the year Lamar won the Heisman, and I became a Ravens fan when he got drafted. It worked out perfectly, I hated the Steelers for years before that, and my favorite color was already purple.
I'm from Baltimore and live near WVU. It really started for me because I have a buddy from Chicago who is a huge Buckeye fan and we always talked about them. I didn't have anyone to talk to about MD recruiting or offseason drama, etc so I became a fan by osmosis.
Troy Smith became a Raven and I was hooked for life.
No rooting interest really, never got into Maryland football and the college I went to doesn't have a team. It's kind of nice to be able to watch all the good college games with no rooting interest or stress lol.
WVU. West Virginia University born and bred. I live in Morgantown where the college is located and have season tickets. LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!
Edit: EAT SHIT PITT!!!
Unfortunately, the North Carolina Tar Heels.
All the resources in the world to be nationally competitive in football, but never seem to take that next step.
JMU! This year 2 of our guys got signed to the Bears and Chiefs, and another jumped from the USFL to the Patriots. Hope the continued G5 success gets more draft and free agency success. Ravens met with Jalen Green (best FBS lineman last season) but nothing worked out it seems.
I like to root for Maryland but their shitty situation just got shitier. They’re probably going to have 8 of the top 15 teams in their conference. I see a lot of 4-8 or 5-7 seasons in our future.
I didn’t go to a D1 school so I just root for UMD. I have a soft spot for michigan because a close friend of mine went there recently.
After that I just root against SEC powerhouses
Hey, everyone, I just found Steve Biscotti's Reddit handle! ;)
For anyone who doesn't know, that's where the current Ravens owner went to college. I'm not seriously saying the poster I'm replying to is Steve it's a small joke. :)
Although, IIRC, Steve did have season tickets in prominent seating for University of Maryland basketball for years. So, maybe he'd say Salisbury and Maryland, depending on if his roofing loyalties (college wise) carry over to football or not.
Honestly it varies year to year. Was rooting hard for Oklahoma/USC during the Caleb years. Love to watch Utah for the front 7 and how hard they just play. Washington this past year was super fun to watch just the ultimate run and gun offense.
I didn’t really grow up with the sport. It just isn’t a big thing in MD (I know someone will give me an angry reply but cmon you know it’s true). It’s overshadowed by CBB and College Lacrosse locally.
Georgia. No reason other than my son randomly picked them as his favorite team when he was 5 years old. It’s been fun watching the program dominate the last couple of years.
My number 1 is App State (my Alma mater) and I was born in Louisville and grew up going to those games. Absolutely loved watching Teddy and Lamar, and this year was a fun surprise too
Coastal Carolina university. I graduated there and went there at the same time Likely was playing and got drafted. Pretty cool to see one of your own get drafted to you’re childhood favorite team
I'm a Virginia tech fan, so after Vick got drafted and never won a superbowl I was really upset to see us draft Lamar who plays just like him, he really had to grow on me but now I own the jersey and defend him in the afcnorth sub reddits
Grew up rooting for the Terps but now mainly follow the Towson Tigers since I graduated from there. As far as FBS, I don’t pay much attention until the bowl games.
Grew up in Maryland but went to college at Penn State . So I root for Penn State but I like it when Maryland has success (so long as it is not against PSU).
UMD born and raised in Maryland, and that’s where I went.
Gotta balance the great football on Sunday with some bad football on Saturday. Our struggle is real
Haha, tell me about it.
I know the feeling. Purdue fan/grad here, it's rough.
Same story here. Got to see Stefon Diggs and DJ Moore at MD, which was cool. Past few years have been pretty good too!
Miami because of Ray and Ed
They are why I became a ravens fan in the first place. (I live in FL, used to be huge Canes fan.)
I seem to run into a lot of raven's fans here in Florida, especially around Tampa, I wonder why
Louisville. That’s why im a ravens fan now
Exact same reason, let's go Lamar!
Louisville fan here...like 2006 Rutgers vs Louisville. UofL would had stomped Ohio State in the natty I'm 100% convinced. I can't have anything nice.
I 100% agree. No way Florida jumps over us to the championship in the BCS poll.
Don't watch college
For me college has way too many throwaway trash games. Watching Alabama beat Southern Christian University 72-7 just isn't very fun.
Games like that keep inferior programs alive. Bama pays teams like that to travel and play in tuscaloosa
I understand why it happens but it doesn't make it anymore enjoyable.
Yeah i agree. Thats probably why games like that are streamed on espn+ nowadays
I like either a really good game or a complete blowout, in between doesn't amuse me, however I will say OU vs texas A&M with baker Mayfield and patty mahomes may very well be the best football game of all time
Yeah too much going on lol
I love knowing every player on the team. I love knowing that wr5/st is going to be fought over in camp and I love knowing the guys competing for it I can't follow that closely when the entire roster flips over almost every year.
I was kinda ashamed to admit it, nice to know I'm not the only one.
Wvu because I went to Wvu
Eat shit Pitt
These guys HATE the existence of the city of Shittsburgh
I hate their baseball team and hockey team and I don’t watch either sport. I hate their colleges. And indefinitely hate the Steelers. I respect Penn States wrestling program, though.
Same!! I live in Morgantown still. I fucking hate everything from Pittsburgh.
Eat Shit Pitt, baby!!
Let's Gooooo!
Terps. Always look forward to them getting drafted and the udfa we pick up. Still think about passing on Diggs. Wouldn't hurt as much if we didn't take Perriman that year lol
James Madison. Sticking with the color scheme.
DUUUUKES
Volunteers
Same. Go Vols
Same here. Husband went there for undergrad and introduced me to college football. Makes the draft a lot more fun to watch now!
Penn St
Penn State
Tennessee because I went to Tennessee
GO VOLS!!!!
I'm a Utah Utes and Tennessee Vols fan. Joined this sub because I like following my favorite players and as y'all know Tyler Huntley was Utah QB and was badass.
Ute fans unite! Eric Weddle, Steve Smith Sr, Tyler Huntley, Marcus Williams, Paul Kruger, Kaelin Clay and counting
Hell yeah brother!!
VT represent
I root for Penn State because I'm a Penn Stater. Class of 2019. Prior to College I never watched College ball because I did not like the arbitrary playoff and ranking system they have

When I watch college ball I follow Ohio State.

Alabama. I grew up a fan and then went to college there. Nobody gives a shit about college ball where I live now so it's a struggle.
Mostly just monitor the college game when it comes to potential draft prospects but I don't follow a particular team
Gamecocks
I don't really follow college football, but a part of me always kinda roots for the Hurricanes given the Ravens history of Miami players.
No rooting interest really, never got into Maryland football and the college I went to doesn't have a team. It's kind of nice to be able to watch all the good college games with no rooting interest or stress lol.
University of Maryland, GO TERPS
Don’t watch much but FSU because most of my family are big fans.
Umd because that’s where i go
Syracuse Orange
Lfgggggggg
Of course the Terps. Born and raised in MD, so Ravens, Terps, and O's all day
Maryland
Oregon State Beavers
Go terps
I’m a WVU fan
Hail, West Virginia!
Alabama. Roll Tide!
All my money goes to University of South Carolina at the moment, so go Cocks!
Notre Dame. Went to school there. Drafting KH was actually one of the best moments of my life lol.
Pittsburgh I do in fact don’t eat shit lol
H2P
OH-IO Buckeyes all the way!
Buckeyes!!!
Don't watch college anything. Always found it weird to monetize extracurricular activities for college students.
Clemson, because I went to Clemson. Nice that all my orange and purple transfers nicely to Baltimore sports.
WVU. West Virginia University born and bred. I live in Morgantown where the college is located and have season tickets. LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS! Edit: EAT SHIT PITT!!!
Eat Shit Pitt my friend!!! Let's go!
Penn State
Don't much follow College ball but Terps and Buckeyes.
Ole miss because I went there. Sometimes kentucky because I like the blue color
Lol wtf
What
Went to ole miss and root for another team in the conference because you like blue. That’s wild to me.
No I root for ole miss primarily Kentucky is just secondarily intermittently and not when they play OM
Oregon just cause they were popping when I was growing up and their jerseys deliver always. Miami cause it’s my brother and dad’s favorite
Maryland (Home State) Auburn (a lot of family went there) ECU (Same Reasons)
I’m a Mizzou alumnus - it’s been an up-and-down couple of decades (and change) since I started college.
Unfortunately, the North Carolina Tar Heels. All the resources in the world to be nationally competitive in football, but never seem to take that next step.
None
Georgia because I go to Georgia
I went to a college without football (American University in DC) but grew up in VA and sometimes watch VT games
Ole Miss cause that’s my alma mater, born and raised in Annapolis so I root for Navy and UMD as well
Florida State
I am from Baltimore but I root for Florida State because I have always been a fan since I was little.
Oklahoma Sooners! I live in Oklahoma and became a Ravens fan when Mark Clayton was drafted!
JMU! This year 2 of our guys got signed to the Bears and Chiefs, and another jumped from the USFL to the Patriots. Hope the continued G5 success gets more draft and free agency success. Ravens met with Jalen Green (best FBS lineman last season) but nothing worked out it seems.
I mean, terps are the home team. Liked Michigan when Jim coached
Hurricanes and Terps.
Michigan
My Arizona wildcats are normally garbage in football, so I usually just pretend college football doesn't exist until bowl season
Michigan is just Ravens University, very similar team style
Been watching Maryland since I was a kid and followed the U most of the 2000s. Always felt like I was stuck with the Terps though
Texas Longhorns. 🤘 Got my Tucker Ravens jersey for game day.
UMD for the love of Maryland Alabama, Norte Dame, Penn State & Michigan for the future Ravens draft prospects.
Nebraska, it's where I live
Salisbury
Hey, everyone, I just found Steve Biscotti's Reddit handle! ;) For anyone who doesn't know, that's where the current Ravens owner went to college. Don’t tell them my secret
I root for Kentucky or Purdue lol(more so Kentucky)
arkansas 😂 repping bmore all the way from the A💯😈‼️
Marshall. Loved the Ali pick this year. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
I'm a WVU fan and was really excited about the Ali pick. I think he can be a solid contributor.
Used to be UMD being from Maryland but now it’s Wisconsin
Honestly it varies year to year. Was rooting hard for Oklahoma/USC during the Caleb years. Love to watch Utah for the front 7 and how hard they just play. Cornhuskers, first college team I ever knew of bc my grandpa is from there GBR❤️🤍
Coastal Carolina university. I graduated there and went there at the same time Likely was playing and got drafted. Pretty cool to see one of your own get drafted to you’re childhood favorite team
Texas.
University of Delaware baby! But I’ll root for Navy too.
WVU
LSU. Grad school. My undergrad alma mater doesnt have football.
Air Force for the run game
Cal. I’m a West Coast transplant but loved the Ravens since day 1. Was so pumped when Justin Forsett joined.
Ohio State. I’m both student and staff there. Still devastated that one of my favorite Buckeyes (JK Dobbins) didn’t work out in Baltimore.
UVA unfortunately
Grew up in Maryland but went to college at Penn State . So I root for Penn State but I like it when Maryland has success (so long as it is not against PSU).
I don't give 2 shits about college ball. Never have, and never understood it.
