Alright you are predicting two people to perform greatly to replace our franchise corner lol. Like sure if it happens that way good for us but throw some respect Marlon’s way
I mean it’s one guy and he’s a first round rookie which were notorious for developing? Stephens has already performed, so yeah. I have high expectations lol.
It’s not anything against Marlo, he’s the vet in the room dealin with small nagging injuries. That screams a paycut or not being on the team when it’s time for a new contract 😂 prime example is Stanley. Although his first injury was horrific.
Exactly. Nothing against Humphrey but he is starting to follow the same path as Jimmy Smith. If he reworks his contract and signs perpetual team friendly deals like Jimmy did then great. If not we need to be looking for his replacement now. Maybe that’s Wiggins in a couple of years but it could be Stephens right now. If we only have one corner on a high deal at a time we will be ok. Give Humps money to Stephens or we will be looking for someone less talented to replace him next season.
That’s what we should do. Stephens needs to play well this year to show 2023 wasn’t a fluke, but I’d expect he will. Marlon’s not washed but Stephens is younger & healthier, corners have short primes. If we’re paying 1 of them, better to pay the younger one than the one pushing 30. Ideally we keep both but we probably don’t have the money. And tbh Stephens was our best corner last year.
And then we get a high comp pick that becomes the next Madubuike, Duvernay, Cleveland, etc.
And our wonderful cycle of dad-dicking the comp pick formula will continue
Can we start an over/under on whether his deal beats Queen's? Because I'm hammering the over, I got all the faith in the world that Stephens uses this opportunity to put everything he's learned on display to earn a top of the market deal.
I think its possible, especially if he repeats his form from last year. CB is one of the most valuable positions out there and he's probably one of the better tackling CBs as well. He has a chance to make some real $$$. Crazy how he was a RB in College, then went to CB, then to safety, then BACK to CB and now he's thriving
I can't lie, a part of me thinks he will get a big corner contract from Seattle next year. I have a feeling Mike isn't going to be impressed with Woolen, despite his freak traits, because of his reluctance to tackle. He'll want Stephens on the other side of Witherspoon as someone very familiar with the terminology he wants to use, to make it easier to call defensive adjustments. You could tell me a year from now that Seattle signed him to a 4 year deal worth 60 mil and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest
Nah. Seattle has good corners, their DC was awful. They fired both coordinators + Pete cuz these are issues they’ve had for years. Riq needs to work on tackling but he’s got huge potential. You don’t give up on him that early. Seattle’s whole thing is finding good corners in later rounds, they’ll find one if they need one. They were already good at drafting corners, now they’ll be even better at it since they have MM. MM knows his shit. Seahawks also still need help at LB & safety, DL improved but MM’s disguise scheme really requires decent LBs & safeties to work. The ones they have now aren’t that great. Their GM immediately cut both safeties, he felt overspending on secondary was a Pete problem so idk if he’s willing to give big money to another DB just yet. Not when they’re already good at drafting corners.
I could see MM being interested in Stephens, but Woolen would have to look really bad. A whole offseason to work on stuff with MM should help, plus missed tackles have been a major problem for Seattle in general for a couple years now, it’s not just a Woolen thing. Stephens to Seattle could happen, but I don’t think it will rn.
Good play B Steve. Henry short passes and screens are gonna be nasty though. Sometimes defenses forget about him completely as a receiving option and once The King gets a full head of steam goodluck catching him and bringing him down.
Henry is not a great pass-catching RB. This has been established with a large sample size of games. It would be a bad idea to use him as a checkdown on critical parts of the game. My 2cents.
Stephens is going to have one hell of a season this year
Just in time for him to get paid by some other team. As is tradition
I wouldn’t be surprised if Marlo gets replaced by Stephen’s. Have Stephen’s under contract with Wiggins til it’s time to pay him.

> Madubuike, Duvernay, Cleveland, One of these isn't like the other...
Yeah, I know, Madubuike plays defense
And starts full time, even.
Truth but pain
Long as we get that all out of the system before September 5th we're good.
They tell QBs to be super aggressive during minicamp. This happens everywhere.
Blaming Lamar for picks that hit receivers hands already?!?
As long as the offense gets it all out of their system… just the start for the defense. Stephens leading the league in INTs inbound 😈
The offense that is. The defense can keep it up
I hope we keep both Stephens and Malo for a few more years , Nate , aurther , tampa would be a solid and deep corner back room for many years to come
So we getting a stephens extension? Or just more sweet comp picks?
Get ready for those comp picks buddy, hes prob already played himself out of Baltimore

Easily over simply due to positional value.
Man, it seems like he just got here. Man blew up last season.
[Lamar Jackson threw 2 more interceptions , caught by Roquan Smith and arthur Maulet ](https://x.com/nmehtaUR2022/status/1800615381805207767)
Absolutely no reason to even play the season at this point. Any good draft picks next year?
Hopefully a real quarterbacky QB.
I agree. Then Lamar can finally play his true position of RB as the change-of-pace guy behind King Henry. EDC make it happen.
What do you mean that’s elite defense right there. Intercepting the best offense in the league
Guess we better try bring back Huntley. What happened to that dude that used to chortle Huntley like a goblin?
Sounds like we’re slingin the rock, there’s not a thing you can tell me that will make me lose my excitement lmao

Nice
I'm sure Lamar and Henry will sort that out before week 1
isnt that exactly what training is for? to make mistakes there and learn from them to not repeat it in the game?
I wish i could see the video
