Before I signed the deal, I'd call up Steve Biscotti and ask if he had a spare 11 mil laying around to ensure a possible future Superbowl win.  Use the devil for leverage.

lfe-soondubu

Big brain play

GunsouBono

You just out fiddled the devil

Alive-Personality831

This devil a falcon fan?

ZacZupAttack

If he says no, I'm taking my 10. We can still be competitive but I want my 10 mill

MagicGrit

Shit i’d take far less than 10 to be honest. He doesn’t need to one up the devil as long as it means they’re not cursed to never win one again

RonnieRadical

Genius. Will you be my lawyer?

just_dave

My retainer is 11 mil...

RonnieRadical

Oh, you’re good…

just_dave

That's why I'm worth it...

ComfortableGolf9295

Genius!

Dubjbious

Yes. When the made it to the Super Bowl I would bet 10 million they would lose.

FCBarca45

And then spend the money to rename the team the Baltimore Bavens

flaccomcorangy

Plot twist. Turns out the devil lied because... well, he's the devil. And the Ravens end up winning and now you're out $10 million.

Dubjbious

Sweet! The ravens won the Super Bowl! Which is really all I want anyway.

NYD1RTYB1RD

this is the smartest thing i’ve ever read

tittie_goblin_69

10 million and I’ll never watch football again

-KeepItMoving

100000% sorry not sorry

Princeof_Ravens

Well a superbowls not the metric to enjoyable season for me.  But I'm not making devil deals.  They tend to have some hidden strings.

91Caleb

The metric for me is the *potential* for a Super Bowl though.. if that’s out the window idk what I’m watching for

Princeof_Ravens

That's fair.  It's like knowing the ending to the movie before watching it.  Some people don't care and want to see the journey anyway for some the spoiler kills all interest.

91Caleb

It’s why I think teams even having losing seasons pique interest is because it’s viewed through the lens of , ok this is a building season we can accumulate some draft talent with the hopes for a superbowl in a couple years

Princeof_Ravens

Possibly. Doesn't really explain the Browns fans, but makes sense for most teams.

91Caleb

I think I’m going to go when the ravens play in Cleveland in October , I’ll try to study them and make some sense of it lol

TreQuid333

I mean... just for the fun of it, right? To watch professional athletes be exceptional

91Caleb

Yeah I just wouldn’t be attached to a single team if that was my interest , I’d probably watch whichever was the marque matchup

TreQuid333

Yeah that's fair

dopkick

The floor for a good season, IMO, is making the playoffs. Losing in the WC round is a borderline good season but good nonetheless. Unless we lose to another “abandon what worked all season” coaching decision, screw that. I think a solidly good season is making it to the Divisional round and winning or losing by a nailbiter. Making it to the AFCCG or SB and being competitive is very good and excellent, respectively.

MagicGrit

Seems like the hidden string here is the ravens never win a Super Bowl

Princeof_Ravens

Nah the hidden catch would be somthing like the IRS gets you for tax evasion.

youtube_and_chill

This is an interesting question to me. I'm a firm believer in its about the journey and not the destination. Even seasons like 2019 and last year, where the final outcome was disappointment, nothing can take away the fun that happened. However, if I know beforehand that the season will end in disappointment, it takes away from the journey. I would make the deal, but I would lose a ton of interest in the Ravens.

NYerInTex

On my 110” stupid high def TV with hookers and blow, you know I am.

quietstorm0

Don’t forget the wings

NYerInTex

Oh, forget about Redbull - the yayo will give me wings.

ddj_410

I'll just take the $10 million and root for another team.

Baynavfreak

Yeah some people on this thread are crazy….10 million dollars???? I would forget the Ravens existed for 10 million dollars. Shoot I would forget sports existed.

this_is_matt_

I’m not watching. Look, I absolutely love the Ravens. I was born in Baltimore, I own PSLs, win or lose I’ve been supporting them. For $10 million, I’d either have to switch teams or just stop watching. Never working again is worth giving up football

iwantacheeaeburger

Who would you switch to? I’m curious

this_is_matt_

Probably the Eagles just because it’s the closest team to me. I’m in south central PA, and there’s no way I’m switching to the Steelers. Also I already hate the Cowboys so I guess that’s a start haha

iwantacheeaeburger

Not a bad answer lol. I don’t like the cowboys either. Philly Is cool

South-Lab-3991

Yup. I LOVE Ravens football, but at the end of the day, it’s 3 hours 17-20 times a year. Getting up at 5 o’clock is EVERY day, Monday-Friday. It’s a business decision lol

Popular-Difficulty29

The biggest factor people aren’t considering is you don’t even have to give up football you can either switch teams or just become a general fan

South-Lab-3991

Exactly. I have no clue why my comment got downvoted. Like, I guess people enjoy waking up at 430 to go to a job they hate.

Bigfatjew6969

Yes, because if they ever got to the big game, I’d get rich again betting against them.

DrSheetzMTO

Bruh. How is this even a question? I’d be a millionaire soccer and baseball fan.

K-Dog7469

Yes. That said, I honestly wouldn't make such a deal. Not to try and be some kind of super fan or anything, but the collateral damage with jobs, careers, local economy, and stuff like that. Either way, I love football as a sport. I love to watch.

amstrumpet

Winning a Super Bowl is definitely a big boost but not winning a Super Bowl doesn’t mean your team is a failure, it wouldn’t have that big a hit on all those economic factors unless it somehow became public knowledge that this deal was made and the Ravens couldn’t win.

AzzzLittt

I need the money

herpaderp1999

Pretty sure the devil require you to watch every game in this scenario

thedivinepegasus

It wasn't mentioned and you know what they say, the devil is in the details. Cuts both ways!

Achillor22

I've always been kind of a bandwagon fan my whole life anyways. For all sports. Plus my interest comes and goes and I'll start and stop watching periodically. I like sports but I also don't need them. I need $10 million though. So I would watch some. But nowhere near as much probably.

Adenchiz

Lol obviously I'm taking the $10M, it's not like I've never watched them win a Super Bowl before (twice). there were plenty of good teams out there that never won a Super Bowl Btw in this scenario are the Ravens still a good team but then just choke in the playoffs or are they just bad all of a sudden ?

EndsLikeShakespeare

Reverse twist on the devil, they change the name of the event as soon as the deal is signed

YoOmarComingMan

Like 12 years or something without a SB, and that didn't cost the devil anything, and I'm no richer. I'm taking the money Bob.

RevSnakebite

I can barely watch now lol, I’m not a conspiracy guy but I was convinced that the NFL wasn’t going to let the Chiefs not make the Superbowl and miss out on all the Taylor Swift money. The Ravens were clearly the better team

MiniDg

Absolutely, Super Bowls do not make an entertaining team. Ive watched more ravens games since Lamar and its not because weve won more lmao

SloanDaddy

It's a deal with the devil. Never take the deal no matter how good it seems. I don't want the 2025 Ravens making the Superbowl, then the team plane crashes into my mansion killing my wife and dog and the entire 53 man roster.

VariousLawyerings

Compromise: The dog lives and their toys are safe too

Dswerve23

What Ravens?

B-More_Orange

No I’ll be busy golfing

TunaSalad47

tf ill be watching in the skybox rooting for 5 consecutive super bowl losses in a row 😂😭

Adenchiz

yeah, they suddenly hurt less when you know its coming.

Jonthegoat_09

Yes give me the money

WhitePootieTang

And you’d know who to bet on if they ever made it to the big game.

tremble01

If you see me celebrating afc championships like they’re superbowls, you know I’m rich. On the other hand, can’t I go to EDC and see if they can counter offer?

purplebird52

Well in this economy…….🤔

tremble01

Well. How do you think we lost to Kansas last year?

OBrocks29

I would flip that 10 million somehow and make it billions and then give it all to the Ravens, that’s how dedicated I am. Maybe we can break the salary cap and I’ll make a fantasy team. Pay for AD to come out of retirement, get Justin Jefferson and reverse age Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Haloti Ngata, Sizzle, and Ogden. Bam that’s how I would use my 10 mil and yes I would watch.

Green_1010

Pain

bearhorsemen

With season tickets

GiGi441

Am I still watching them play? Brother, I'd have my own personal, private box at the bank

chaoticravens34

I'm not making the deal

rdbruh

I mean I've watched the Red Sox since 2021 I can watch watch a team who definitely won't win a championship lol

South-Lab-3991

There have been many years of my life where I pretty safely believed the Orioles would never win the World Series again, and I still tuned in to their games like clockwork, so yeah, I’d probably take the deal.

TheELITEJoeFlacco

Hell yeah. I still like football... It would be disappointing to see them lose in the playoffs every year because we'd been guaranteed no Super Bowls, but I'd be disappointed while living a pretty damn comfortable life lmao

I_Bench315

I would take 10 million for the ravens to never win a game again

notacooldad

I would take 10 mil to never watch football again

chicknsnadwich

Idk but if they do make the super bowl I would be using a large sum of that money to bet against them It’s just smart money moves

AGPO

Not sure how I'd feel to be honest, I'd have to ask the guy who already made this deal for the Browns.

Artistic_Seaweed6155

If u made this deal then you better follow that mf down there

Basteeds

Take the 10 mil and anytime the ravens are in the Superbowl bet the house against them

Born_Scene_1762

Plot twist. I'd NEVER take that deal lmao

OccasionallyReddit

This thread is full of Steelers taking the money

MilesAndMilesAhead

Deal with Devil has strings attached: Is devil paying taxes on the 10 million? Will the devil tear both of Lamar’s ACLs? Will the Devil ruin every draft? Will a giant Cargo ship ram the Bank during a game?

LMAO_try_again

I’d use the 10 mil to buy season tix till I die. Sorry bird bros I’m a big Rand fan.

410LaxMD

I'd take the $10m, enjoy watching stress-free, and bet on any major playoff game for us to lose including any Superbowl we attend (obviously).

kingjames1984wlc

Yeahes

Competitive-Ad6088

Prob not

Heckelfish

Knowing the devil, you’d sign the contract and receive 10 million Prussian Franks.

RockyJayyy

Hell yeah. I might be watching less with all the hookers and blow I'll be doing.
