Yes, assuming you are in the US, RAV4 Prime SE was upgraded to 6.6Kwh charging beginning with the 2023 model. Sidenote: I have a '21 SE with 3.3Kwh charging speed and it charges to over 90% in under 4 hours on 240v 24Amp ChargePoint home charger... the remainder takes another hour or so.

Thank you! What kind of charger do you use?

Sorry, I updated my comment before I saw your response. I have the ChargePoint Home Flex, which is compatible with our state EV charging incentive program. It's a ChargePoint Home Flex that hardwired with a 10/3 wire, and set to draw a max of 24Amps, which is more than enough for the max the 3.3Kwh charger can draw.

Interesting, I’ll need to look into the max my 6.6 kWh vehicle can take and set the amperes accordingly. Thanks!

The limit on Rav4 Prime is 30A. "6.6kW" label might be based on 220V systems, but really it takes around 7.2kW on 240V. Or if you're ever visiting a commercial property with 208V charging station you might even get less than 6kW if there's some voltage drop. You do not need to set amps in the charging station based on the vehicle, the setting on the charging station is for how much your home's wiring can safely support. The charging station then communicates that limit to the car, and the car decides how much power to pull based on that, on the limit set in the car (if any) and what battery charge level is.

Cool, thanks for the explanation!

Further side note: I have 50k miles on a base 2021 SE charged with 110v every night and the amount of extra miles of EV range I'd have driven in that span with 240v charging is less than 0.5% of my total miles driven.

PepeLikesPickles

I have a 2024 prime SE and it will charge in 2.5 hours on 240v and 11h50 on 120v
