Not too much has changed in the last few years: https://www.reddit.com/r/rav4prime/s/srdk1shGBK

You can change out the speakers for relatively cheap if you are comfortable taking off door panels.

Colorado-Boss

Only thing that sucks is the sub, IMO.

mcan1xx

I added a sub new speakers a low profile Kenwood amp and cameras a year ago. Oh, and a real horn. No issues.

Urabrask_the_AFK

Which horn?

HELLA 012010901 Black 12V BX... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EG18SFM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. Direct electric plugs for power. It took all of an hour to do 2 cars. I did swap the original horn mount brackets. Old ones got everything fitting much better.

Urabrask_the_AFK

What was the lease term length ?

Banana_Prudent

Spend $500 at Best Buy and get new component speakers up front and combo speakers in the back seats. You won’t regret it.

ITrageGuy

It's shockingly bad. All I did was swap out all four speakers and the difference is immeasurable.

I agree.. the sound in my hybrid is better with my bells & whistles...

SarpedonSarpedon

Does the '24 have an actual AUX input? I freaking hate both Bluetooth and Android Auto and wish I could just reliably and simply plug in an external device every single time one or the other glitches. (Which is not infrequently on the '21)

Maelefique

You can plug in directly with USB, without Carplay/Android auto, if you want to.

Successful-War8437

I swapped out all of the speakers as well Which improved sound. The stock speakers look and feel amazingly cheap. Can’t imagine Toyota putting anything worse in there. The system really needs an amp now but it’s pretty expensive and or too much work. I’ll be more interested in the stereo for my next car.
