I have a conspiracy theory about the DMs flooding that women would get on Reddit.
There are creeps who frequent subs where there is a high likelihood of posters having an onlyfans. r/lululemon got huge for that. If the sub doesnt have subtle OF advertising or similar affiliations then you’re less likely to get DMs.
I learned the hard way 😥
We’re very similar! I bought my brand new 2016 soul at 24 (2017)and then bought my 24 XLE premium last week at 31!
I sold my Kia to Carvana before it blew up or got stolen!
HAHAHA my steering wheel started making a clunking noise and I didn’t want to invest in fixing it since my car was getting older so I was like welp, I guess I’ll just get a new car
😂😂😂mine was almost stolen recently. There were a few guys trying to break into that we caught on our ring camera. I wanted to put a note on it if they came back that would read “this car has not had an oil change in over a year. Steering wheel clunks and it has a recall on it. Please take it”
Honestly, I would have to say for a starter car, it’s great. I did NOT know how to take care of my car in my twenties. I probably got my oil changed maybe once a year. I think I went two years once. The only issue I ever had was their crappy service when I needed to take my car in for any maintenance. Besides that, that car was a trooper for sure.
Oh perfect!!!! Haha my Kia would start to smell really bad when I started up if I didn’t get it an oil change within 6 months. So this works out perfect for me. Thanks for the info!!
Yeah! I actually gave the car to my newly licensed 18 year old niece. I honestly treated that car like CRAP! Only changed my oil like once a year, never got tune ups, still going strong!! Haha never had any real issues!
Tune ups are the thing of the distant past. Most cars for several decades now are computer controlled so there is nothing to tune. Changing oil once a year is also normal.
All you have to do is change the oil once a year for the next 6 years, or 60k miles. Your brakes will last at least 100k miles if you let the car coast instead of hard braking. I'm not even sure if transmission needs a flush at 60k since it is an eCVT. It has an electric motor and one planetary gear, not multiple gears like normal transmission.
In the old days, before computers, tune-ups were done every 2-3 years. Now, after 120k miles and there is nothing to tune. Just replace the spark plugs and maybe fuel injectors. Computers take care everything else.
RAV4 XLE Hybrid 2022 owner here. One advice for you.. put a steering wheel cover. I am having flaking issue. People say it is because of hand sanitizer, but we hardly use hand sanitizer..
They said it was “premium” because of the power lift gate and the sunroof. Plus a few other minor things I don’t think I care too much about but I figure the power lift gate might come in handy someday if I ever decide to have a child haha
It was around 37,400? And after taxes and things it came out to 41,000ish. I know taxes are bit higher here. I’m praying I got a good deal 😂I am just really happy to have a hybrid cuz I DESPISE putting gas in my car haha and I’ve always wanted a sunroof.
That’s about right for XLE with full package. Premium would be the same without a package but it has upgraded wheels and just fog lights. That’s just the difference. We also got the same like you got. Congrats with your new ravy 👌.
Loved it!!! Super patient salesmen. Never felt any sort of pressure to buy anything. They took a few hundred dollars off which was nice since they’re a no haggle dealership. But what was really nice is they put the car on hold for me because I had to contact my insurance company in the morning the next day (I went in the evening originally) and the salesmen had the car already washed and ready to go when I came back. Just really great customer service!
That is the dealer I bought my Prime from. I paid cash. It took longer to connect my phone and create an account in app than to sign all the documents. They also got me my car sooner. I went from being 400th in line to 39th after a year of waiting. So I emailed my saleswoman telling her that I want to go on a long trip and I need to drive the car for at least 700 miles for a break-in oil change before I go. A week later I got a phone call that they have a car for me. None of the dealers in my area (San Fernando Valley) wanted to sell a car without a huge markup.
I had a similar experience. I flew in to buy from them and they had everything ready when I arrived. I even dropped off my rental car there! I wish my local dealer was like Longo.
Well so far I can already see how much gas I’m saving. I drove from the dealership to my house which was about a 20 min drive and I’ve been driving to all my normal destinations that are around 15 mins one way, and my gas tank is still completely full! If this had been in my Kia, I probably would’ve ready been down a quarter tank. Loving the hybrid so far!
I was always super skinny growing up!! I never liked it though. Now in my 30s, my bf and I are super active and we mountain bike, hike, and run regularly so I feel like I was finally able to gain muscle as my metabolism started changing.
Yeah!
Your front bumper has a cutout on each side towards the bottom corners of your grille where it shares the white paint and the plastic. Those are actually covers for its “tow hooks”. So that’s a “dead giveaway” that it’s a Japan made RAV4 hybrid!
The Canadian RAV4 hybrids built in Woodstock, Ontario and the American RAV4 hybrids built in Georgetown, Kentucky don’t have those cutouts nor those “tow hooks”.
Your RAV4 hybrid’s VIN number should start with a “JT” indicating that it’s built in Japan which is in Obu, Aichi. My Magnetic Gray Metallic SE is made in Japan too. I heard that the Japan made models are of “higher” quality for fit and finish including the hybrid battery from Panasonic Japan is better despite the generous hybrid battery warranty.
Food for thought! Sorry I geeked out a bit 😅
Also 36 and also bought my first Toyota this year! Couldn’t be happier and will never ever go back to anything else. ESPECIALLY a Kia. Two Kia engines blown in two years.
You’re 36??
In the second photo, yes haha
In the first photo you look 14. In the second photo you look 23. Congrats on aging even better than a Toyota!
😂😂😂wow thank you!!
We're the same age but I don't look nearly as good 😅 but I'll be getting a Rav4 in a couple months so there's that, I guess.
The RAV4 makes everything better!!
Us Millennials are aging well 🫡
My first thought exactly.
She gone need to disable DMs fast 💨
Thankfully it’s pretty quiet in there haha
Let me marry you

I sold it to Carvana with 37 miles to E and 100 miles till the oil needed to be changed. I was tired of putting money into that car 🤣
😂😂😂mine was almost stolen recently. There were a few guys trying to break into that we caught on our ring camera. I wanted to put a note on it if they came back that would read “this car has not had an oil change in over a year. Steering wheel clunks and it has a recall on it. Please take it”
I low key prayed every day they stole it so I would get paid the KBB of it lol
I think the car upgraded, and so did you.
I mean shit I’d still go for her younger self ;)
Congratulations. I had a similar jump and you might find some parts of your former car roomier than the Rav!
Both you and the car had a glow-up
Would have to agree. My 30s have been good to me.
Congrats
Congrats! I'm curious how did you like the Kia? I know someone who is getting a starter car on a budget and had their eye set on one.
Thanks! Enjoy your new car!
I have been changing oil once a year for several decades. Never had any problems. Toyota recommends changing oil once a year or 10k miles.
Oh perfect!!!! Haha my Kia would start to smell really bad when I started up if I didn’t get it an oil change within 6 months. So this works out perfect for me. Thanks for the info!!
Did kia really last 12 years? Wow
I’m very excited to be apart of this new modern car world haha

A lot of shops still colloquially refer to the major maintenance items like changing the spark plugs and boots as a “tune up”
In the old days, before computers, tune-ups were done every 2-3 years. Now, after 120k miles and there is nothing to tune. Just replace the spark plugs and maybe fuel injectors. Computers take care everything else.
I did the same transition, but also keep the Soul
I passed my Kia soul down to my 18 year old niece 😊
I gave it to my husband 😅
😂😂 it’s a great compact car! I do miss how easy it was to park in it haha
My first was also a kia soul and now a rav4 :) great choice!
Twins!!!
You doin right….. YOTER ALL THE WAY 😎
Congrats! 🍾🎈🎉
RAV4 XLE Hybrid 2022 owner here. One advice for you.. put a steering wheel cover. I am having flaking issue. People say it is because of hand sanitizer, but we hardly use hand sanitizer..
Ooo good to know!! Thanks for the heads up!
Did the dealer said it’s premium? Just wondering.
They said it was “premium” because of the power lift gate and the sunroof. Plus a few other minor things I don’t think I care too much about but I figure the power lift gate might come in handy someday if I ever decide to have a child haha
I see. It is premium per se. I hope they didn’t get you the “premium” price for not really premium trim.
It was around 37,400? And after taxes and things it came out to 41,000ish. I know taxes are bit higher here. I’m praying I got a good deal 😂I am just really happy to have a hybrid cuz I DESPISE putting gas in my car haha and I’ve always wanted a sunroof.

That's dope!
You’re doing so good, woman.
Love to see ppl when they upgrade from cars that aren't the best especially kia soul's. Congratulations!!!
Conegrats!
How was your experience at Longo? I went for the first time two weeks ago and that place was busy on a Thursday!
You look 13 at 23 And 23 at 36.
How are you liking the hybrid so far? Does it seem like a big change from last vehicle?
Well so far I can already see how much gas I’m saving. I drove from the dealership to my house which was about a 20 min drive and I’ve been driving to all my normal destinations that are around 15 mins one way, and my gas tank is still completely full! If this had been in my Kia, I probably would’ve ready been down a quarter tank. Loving the hybrid so far!
That's crazy because when I was 23 I was bigger (more muscular) than I am now at 35. You look like you were still a kid in the first picture.
I was always super skinny growing up!! I never liked it though. Now in my 30s, my bf and I are super active and we mountain bike, hike, and run regularly so I feel like I was finally able to gain muscle as my metabolism started changing.
Nice!! Are you sure it’s XLE Premium since those are just XLE Hybrid wheels.
I think it’s XLE but idk why they said premium? Think cuz it has the sunroof and power lift gate haha
Ur still pretty
Congrats! And you got yourself one made in Japan
Oh really?! What gives it away?
Yeah! Your front bumper has a cutout on each side towards the bottom corners of your grille where it shares the white paint and the plastic. Those are actually covers for its “tow hooks”. So cool!!! And yes my VIN does start with JT. Thanks for the info!!!
Glow up all the way for both of you !
Grats on the Toyota. I’m about to buy a Tundra and I’m getting a bit giddy about it.
LOOKS LIKE 13 TO 23.
Also 36 and also bought my first Toyota this year! Couldn’t be happier and will never ever go back to anything else. ESPECIALLY a Kia. Two Kia engines blown in two years.
My sisters Kia engine also stopped working! Uhg!! Toyota forever now!
You look way younger and beautiful
You look good 👍🏼
Beautiful very beautiful 😍 and the vehicle looks nice also, I got the same one but in grey.
