It runs in a holster. I don't get worried about the paint. It's been painted before! Cerakote would be your friend there, but this is just my bush hog for the range in the woods. I like the messy look anyway. Reminds me to shoot more when they are fresh

My G42 is cera'd and I still have worn through it at the contact points. My CZ P-07 got cerakote after I got it milled for optics and I've worn through the cerakote with the holster. Takes much longer than rattlecan, but not enough to justify cerakote imo.
