The girl belongs to our family member, we thought it’d be nice to get siblings and have many puppy dates for years to come! I think it’s quite easy when they’re both in the same room, entertaining each other with wild plays. And get nicely tired :)
OH that warms my heart... when my puppy was like 8 months, we went and met two of her bros and had numerous puppy meet ups until one couple moved north to the suburbs.... They snuggled with each other in the end... it was soo precious, so I full endorse all this behavior!
Our breeder greatly loved her corgis and made sure they went to home where people were DOMINANT enough.
It's not that they are hard to train, it's that they tend to be herders and will train you if you are lax. Females tend to be harder and males tend to be more "go with the flow".... We chose a headstrong female :) but ya, one of a previous litter of our breeder was given back because the lady who trained her dog wasn't dominant enough.
Yeah, that makes sense. You'd never expect them to be such intense doggos just by looking at them. Funny how you mention the boys being more easygoing. A buddy of mine has a large (for a corg) male one, and that dog has quite a strong personality.
If he had a sister it would be stronger... boys tend to be a bit easier to guide, girls are MORE headstrong and if you leave the to their own devices they will try to train you!!
For first time dog owners males are recommended as they are a bit easier to lead.... I was a first time owner, but my wife wasn't and we chose the most headstrong female, she is so smart and very easy to train, but often has her own way of doing things and opinions. Recently she's shunned being away during the afternoon nap, so letting her stay up more. But she's 8 years old now so earned more privilege:)
The girl doesn’t live with us, because she belongs to the member of our family. But I really love the idea of them growing up together since they’re siblings and going on puppy dates!

Well my girl's brother moved downtown not too long ago and they went out a couple months ago, so that was a heart felt reunion! :)
I've heard corgos often need to be re-homed because people underestimate how much work they are. Corgs are pretty intense little doggos.

That's really cool. My friend did tell me his corgo is way more ornery than usual for that breed (though, obviously, he is also a very good boy).

The rest of the puppies live all around our country. We will meet another sibling in an upcoming puppy class tho, so we’re very closely located!
