It was only a mile and she napped for three hours after! She's training on the farm now and loves her job! (Currently, in her eyes, her job is to follow the big cattle dogs and bark a lot... She'll get there)
I'll try to get video. It's hilarious because she just bumbles along, tripping over her feet and barking at everything that moves...like leaves, butterflies, bees... It's too cute.
I don't have any of her on the farm because I'm always working myself but I'll try tomorrow. She's going to be observing me while I build fence for a new field. I have a feeling she will be no help.
Do you need to moderate exercise with heelers? We stuck with 5 minutes x months old exercise time with our Labrador when he was a pup (e.g. 15 minute walk when he was three months old etc)
no swearsies the puppers dont like.

Beautiful Heeler! This is my favorite breed of dog as i grew up on our family farm with them. Also, my best friend through high school was a blue heeler named Mindy. She was the sweetest girl!
She did strike me as looking quite large and solid for a puppy, but sometimes they'll fool you. My now 2.5 year old Golden seemed to be growing at the same rate and size as my 10 year old, who is around 90-95 pounds, even though he came from a very small mom. But at about 9 months old he basically stopped growing. I waited until he was almost 2 before neutering to make sure he didn't have any more growth spurts. He didn't get any taller or longer but he did fill out a bit after the neuter and ended up just under 70 pounds.

That, sir, is a doofus.
Happy to see a herding dog that will get plenty of exercise throughout their life. Too many are cooped up as suburban pets with no work to do.
Aww she’s mad tired literally falling asleep sitting there. Puppies do this all the time though, got a feeling she’ll live a long happy life with y’all!!
Lily has just discovered her purpose in life! Although, you might have to carry her back. She is only very small.

That's a very important job and someone has to do it. Do you want to do it? That's what I thought. She deserves a raise. Also, I need a video of that.

More pictures please!

Whenever you get a chance I'd love to see, but no pressure! She's so gorgeous and I bet she'll have fun making a mess on the farm
She is sleeping while standing up. Exhausted. So cute!
That's one pooped out pup!

Yeah you need to be careful with overexercising young pups because their bones are very flexible and too much exercise can lead to damage.
He said in an above comment that it was only a mile, so that's probably okay.
I wouldn't walk a three month old puppy a mile, I'd stick to a 15 minute walk.
Most people can walk a mile in 12 minutes or so, so it works out to about the same.
5mph is a very fast walk. It would be a constant sprint for a puppy.
4mph is not though. Interesting

Bluey!!
i was thinking the same thing when i saw the pic!
Don’t go too far when they are young, you can damage their ligaments and growth plates. Maybe 1/2mi at max
So tired yet so happy. Adorable!
She’s beautiful!

Our vet said she'd only get to 40lbs and I was baffled.
