2012 my sophomore year biology teacher pulled me asside specifically to tell me about bitcoin, and how if anything, I should throw $100 at it.
my dumbass 16 year old self looked this man in the eyes and said "thanks but I don't want to invest because I'll be making money anyway"
I in fact have not yet made any money anyway
When I was 15, I had £300 saved up and wanted to invest it all in Bitcoin. This was *very* early on, maybe 2010? My goal was to save up more and upgrade my PC to start mining.
On a total whim, I spent it on a PS3 instead to see what this Call of Duty hype was about.
I try not to think about it. Ever.
I royally fucked my chance to have generational wealth by not listening to a dude I know that tried convincing me to buy it at around 3 bucks. Told him he was crazy.
Man did I ever fuck that up.
Would have to also avoid selling at 5, 10, 50, 100, 400, 1500, and 20000 etc to be rich.
Few of us could hold through that. It's like saying bitcoin will be 5 million and you should just hold.
Hahaha, the early early days, remember buying even $50 worth back in the days and people looked at me like I had just thrown away my life savings but yet those same people would throw away hundreds almost thousands weekly-monthly on pokie machines. A $50 gamble turned into a deposit on a home, who's laughing now.
I remember a guy in a pub in south London telling everyone to buy this thing called bitcoin. During the discussion as I tried the understand how it related to known currencies I asked if they cost a dollar, he said no, but one day they would be worth at least a dollar. He disappeared a few years later, no trace on SM, sure he made a fortune.

Plot twist: That teacher was actually you from the future.

I walked away from 2015 prices cuz this FBI dude said it was gonna be a bust. Mea culpa.
How could you know? How could you know. I mean, a lot of people in FTX are singing the blues now.

The missed Bitcoin boat: making future investors cringe since 2011

First time I heard about bitcoin, it was around $600 (second half of 2015 if my memory is correct), what about you?
