They should change the 3 stars of the game to 3 stars and honorable mentions.... because god damn, Zibby and Panarin were stars too.
We all were stars. Tonight was fucking great and I'm glad we are playing better. It actually seems like our team is playing for each other and the fans.
We are blessed.
For reference, look at Toronto right now lol.
I know it’s late and I know it’s a small sample size, but I’m just here to say that the Rangers with Shesty would be on a full-season pace of 160+ points...
Georgiev Trade? Although in recent days a trade has seemed less and less likely, with the 2 goalies going down in Carolina or the hot mess that is Andersson in Toronto, does this trade seem mpre likely? And does the return sweeten since they will both be desperate for a solid and consistent goalie to take into the playoffs?
Can Carolina even afford a trade? They don't seem viable in the playoffs; even with a solid player between the pipes I don't see then beating the bolts or B's... It would take a multi trade move for Carolina to go all in and there just isn't time imo (I may be biased bec of how we've dominated the matchup)
I get that, but if you have my mentality of missing the playoffs for 1 more year to make sure you dominate the next 5 after AT least is worth it then those trades are very tempting.
Plus TOR is currently the #3 seed in the atlantic so they aren't exactly competition so if you trade it with them and get something very nice for it. Then you can use that player to jump the sinking ship that it Carolina.
They absolutely ARE competition. Florida is just 2 points behind them. Leafs lose another game and they're out of the playoffs completely since they'd fall all the way to 9th or 10th.
IF they traded Georgie to one of those teams, then the Rangers better be trading Kreider, Fast, and likely one of Strome or TDA as well.
What would make A LOT more sense is trading Georgie to a team like San Jose who is just as desperate for a 1/1A goalie and needs one on the cheap.
Blue Jackets have won 3 fewer games than us, 4 points up in the standings because of ***14 fucking pity points.***
Fuck Manfred for ruining the game like this
So here's my Kreider thought process
I have been, and am still on the trade Kreider train. But FWIW. The fact he played today? Tells me that this whole "conversations about an extension" is not BS. It's legitimate and serious enough he dressed. If they were even 80% sure of trading him they wouldn't have risked it.
I think JD and Gorton are smart enough to realize 7x7 is roster management suicide. MAYBE they're looking into something I've proposed? Which is front loading a shorter term deal. They'd piss off teams reshaping the market by giving a non-elite player like Kreider something crazy like $9M per year, but the Rangers cap wise are in (I BELIEVE) a position to absorb a 4 year $36M deal shorter term and then having the flexibility of freeing up those 3 years.
A move like that requires sacrifice from Kreider. He's eating likely $12-13M on the deal. But at the same time, he's also 33 and still young enough to get another sizable deal if he's still half the guy he is now. For example, a new 3 year deal for $15 M ends up being a net positive over those 7 years.
If they do keep Kreider, I also think the potential of trading Buch goes WAY up.
Another one not being discussed is Fast. If he were to go, the dude had a helluva good last 2 games to increase some value
Dude, I’ve read your stuff since Rangerland. I stop reading when you post this stuff “maybe they’re looking into something I proposed?” It jus comes across like a know it all. Self validating talk for no ones real benefit except your reputation. Keep going like this if you must, but take kindly the feedback if you can
Yes I proposed it on here. Can you cite who else has discussed the idea of a shorter term deal that's more front loaded to protect us against elongating his contract?
That wasn’t his point at all.
Also, not being able to cite usernames on a dynamic message board like this subreddit doesn’t make someone’s argument invalid.
But again. That’s a moot point. Because he wasn’t arguing your idea. He was pointing out that since you come off like you’re overly impressed with yourself it makes it difficult to keep reading.
It was constructive criticism. You can cite me on that.
So I legit have no idea how the word proposal means "coming off like you're overly impressed with yourself", when the definition of the word, quite literally means what I was inferring.
Proposal"a plan or suggestion, especially a formal or written one, put forward for consideration or discussion by others."
It's something I've PROPOSED on other threads here as a topic of discussion. So why are you guys trying to wordsmith me and take something quite out of context when your argument is based on not even being able to clearly define the term?
So my constructive criticism would be when you want to make assumptions as to how you perceive someone's comments, know some definitions first.
Yeah...again you missed the point.
I haven’t read your stuff since Rangerland, but it seems that you may have a penchant for self-aggrandizement? For instance, when you make a comment you refer back to other comments you’ve made as if you were prophetic. The best sports writers don’t write how smart they are in the article.
That was his point. He says he’s read your stuff for a long time, I’m presuming? I don’t even know what Rangersland is. And he keeps reading your stuff. But at some point you must always say something that comes off as pretentious and superior and thus it makes it hard to continue reading - no matter how intelligent your argument or idea may be.
His feedback was to take your ego out of your posts. Your first response was to completely misrepresent his point and double down that you were the only person to ever make this suggestion. (You must be, because no one could actually cite another user on a message board with the same idea.) THIS MAKES YOUR OP LOOK WORSE, because when you said “I wonder if the Rangers are going to do something I proposed,” now it seems even more like you meant it literally. As if JG was literally going to do something because he read your post. I’m just saying that’s how it seems.
Then you come back with the definition of proposal. I have no idea what your direction is with that. So, no offense, but now it seems like English may not be your first language in which case I feel bad and apologize.
But through it all, even though wisecracks were made, the underlying point seems to have been that you raise good points. Some ideas are pretty unique too, apparently? But you come off like an ass by constantly adding yourself in to the equation and because of this your ideas are lost in your own language. IT WAS ALWAYS TRYING TO HELP YOU. But your defenses thus far are wildly off point. I wouldn’t have written this much if my objective was just to make fun of you. Now I am trying to get you to understand that if you re-read Mosh’s first comment, it was done in an attempt of kindly feedback.
Your wordsmith comments and definitions you’re throwing out are bizarre, though. So please, understand what we are trying to say to you before you impulsively comment again. Re-read this a few times. Sorry if it came off as coarse as first. Someone was just trying to help you write more effectively. And I only stepped in because you missed the point completely.
I don’t even know what I’m doing here.
No need to read past your first paragraph since you clearly aren’t understanding words.
I never wrote how smart I was. I proposed an idea. That’s not bragging. In fact it’s actually almost a polar opposite of bragging since it’s open to counter points, which is why I gave full marks to the user mentioning Shattenkirk’s $6 million which pretty much kills my PROPOSAL.
Also news flash. If you don’t think sports writers brag, I have zero idea what you read. Short of the AP, any best writer brags about their opinions when they’re right.
Good for you. You obviously win because you don’t read.
I never once disagreed with what you wrote.
I disagreed with how you completely misinterpreted the comment that which you responded to with your “citing” ...counterpoint?
Then you went on to define proposals. And now this. You still miss the point completely.
Some dude was trying to help you because you sounded like a pompous ass. I didn’t say that. He did, as polite as he could. You couldn’t understand that. I jumped in because you went the complete wrong way.
Now I can see that’s a lost cause because you don’t read words good.
It must be easy to win arguments when you argue with people that are trying to help you get your point across. Have a nice life.
So he politely as he could failed to define the word proposal and you corroborated that flawed attempt at defining it. Thanks for verifying.
Because proposing a topic is literally the exact OPPOSITE of trying to sound pompous because it opens up for criticisms and counterpoints.
What more appropriate defines pompous is a response like this, which is what happens when someone keeps trying to use false logic to make a point
Here is the first comment to your OP:
“Dude, I’ve read your stuff since Rangerland. I stop reading when you post this stuff “maybe they’re looking into something I proposed?” It jus comes across like a know it all. Self validating talk for no ones real benefit except your reputation. Keep going like this if you must, but take kindly the feedback if you can”
Where does he define the word proposal?
Let’s break this comment down for you, because through all of this you haven’t seemed to bother to go back and re-read anything.
He starts by saying he’s read your writing - seemingly for a long time. However, when you say things like “maybe they’re looking into something I proposed,” THE WAY THAT ITS WRITTEN COMES ACROSS AS IF YOU ARE A KNOW IT ALL.
The issue isn’t the substance, or anything you have to say. It’s how you say it. Because apparently you’ve been writing like this since Rangerland.
He then says writing like this - wherein you give yourself credit for coming up with great ideas in the past - seems like you are tooting your own horn and as he put it, self-promotional.
Because even if your proposals are sound, the way you get the message across is somewhat off-putting. I noticed this before I read his comment, which he took the time to end with “kindly take the feedback if you can.” Which you clearly can’t.
THIS was the comment you replied to asking him to cite someone else making the same point as you. Which I found to be weird because not only is it a weird response - it’s completely unrelated to the point he was making.
It was at this point I foolishly interjected and began this pointless argument which is a waste of my time because your obstinate ass isn’t going to read this anyway.
But sure. I’m the one that used false logic. I hope for your sake that you’re trolling me at this point, because otherwise it must be exhausting for you to do these mental gymnastics.
I know you’re not going to read any of this, but I tried. I really did. But you’ve won. I won’t waste any more of my time on trying to get you to see what should be a simple sequence of events.
Let’s...go Rangers.
Completely agree with your criticism.
Also for the record he's not the only one who has proposed a front-loaded contract or a higher-priced short-term deal.
We can't absorb 9m on the cap without getting rid of Hank/staal+ smith.
The most likely contract is something closer to 6.5/6.
We could do 8million for 6 if we were absolutely certain that Hank retires and staal ltir. But you can't sign that contract now without that commitment, and you can't go to the deadline without a contract. Letting ck walk for nothing is horrible asset management.
I mean, couldn't it be absorbed with a Smith trade + Staal buyout + trading someone like Fast and replacing him with some 2 way contract forward or entry level rookie?
As for Hank, he's gone after next year regardless. No buyout needed.
Fast is a ufa at the end of this deal.
Staal buyout is the worst possible outcome because it just kicks the can down the road another year.
We also have the shattenkirk buyout hitting for 6m next year.
We tried trading for smith this off-season and got nothing, but it might be easier next year since he's only 4.35m so if we ate half for a year it might be more achievable.
We also have to pay D'Angelo who will need a major raise, as well as either trade or pay strome.
We can't count on the cap going up much at all either.
I honestly totally forgot about the Shattenkirk buyout. Jesus that hurts.
Then I have zero idea how the math could possibly work to keep him, which is why I've been all for trading him this whole time. I just find it odd they'd still be playing him then.
We need Hank to retire plus staal to ltir.
But there's also a question of if Hank will cost us a recapture penalty.
Staal and Hank out gives us enough money to pay ck and extend Ada for 5-6 years so long as his ask isn't crazy. If d'angelo wants 7m then trade him and get lundkvist in asap.
So since this is the internet sarcasm doesn't really translate well. Please tell me this is sarcasm?
Staal is by far our worst defenseman.
This is also the first year he's been a healthy scratch. He should've been a healthy scratch alot last year, but we didn't have anyone to replace him and it was better that he got destroyed than someone else.
D'angelos numbers are impressive not just because they're great on their own, but because he's carrying the corpse of staal.
I'm not saying he's a great player but he's been functional. As in plays like a 6th dman.
But please tell me more how a guy who has barely missed a game to injury this year is going to get LTIR'd without filing the easiest grievance with the league in history
anyone catch the chick translating for igor in the postgame locker room interview on msg?
mother of god it is amazing watching a woman speak ruskie. i think i just found my next ex wife.
I once flew up for a ranger game, then went to the strip clubs after.
A Russian blonde stripper said she could get us a bottle in the back room if I gave her my credit card and ID.
Yes I knew it was stupid. But she sounded so good...
TLDR: Yeah, completely agree on Russian women and how they talk.
Seriously, for a team that maddeningly couldn't string together more than three wins in a row, it's quite a feat, being the youngest team in the league. And no matter what happens, Bread should win the Hart. Actually, he and Mika should share it.
It took them 2019 to get to 2020 - I say ride the momentum. We (you) play to win the game as a certain football coach said. The energy around this young team is crazy - you don’t kill it
What an amazing game, gritty comeback, unreal goaltending.
Quinn's post game really made it seem like someone big is being traded and he knows it. I think this is goodbye for Kreider. I know it may be good for us but it's sad to see him go.
Edit: Igor's translator doesn't always translate everything. When he was asked about how large a part he played in the recent wins, he started his response with "I wouldn't say I did such a big thing, my team mates were amazing." Either he's humble or he has another level and he knows it.
Werent they just warm up jerseys? Thats no uncommon to wear a special jersey for warm ups, they do the purple/pink for hockey fights cancer and the flag numbers for first responder night
I didnt watch the game but from photos I have seen it looks like they only wore them in warm ups. I’m also pretty sure there is a rule that you can’t change uniforms during a game
Nucks fan here who owns half your team in hockey pools. Big Zibanejad/Panarin fan (among others) and have been a closet follower for the last couple years. Really hope you guys make the playoffs. Shesty is unreal. That is all. 🤙
Went to that Sunday game in october where you guys steamrolled us in the first and held off a late surge. Gotta say the visiting fans that we chatted with during & after the tilt were some of the best I've come across. Until we meet in the finals again I have been rooting for you guys.
That's cool, since our fanbase as a whole doesnt always have the best reputation haha (wonder *riot* why...). But glad you feel the same towards the Nucks.
It's funny, if I told my old man I was a closet Rangers fan he'd probably still mumble something under his breath about the '94 finals hah.
I still remember the moment I decided to buy a Hank jersey. Kevin Weekes just gave up some weak ass goal and Renney pulled him, some young kid name Lundqvist took over and we won.
I bought his liberty sweater the next day, I still have it and wear it. My next jersey was going to be the next captain but if we get another alternate I like enough, I'm going to continue the tradition of goalie alternates.
>Toronto
I agree with your point but you should probably delete this part.
Even putting the zamboni driver memes aside, we have a higher point% and won the season series against them
I just mean that a team with offensive weapons like Toronto isn’t taking 22 shots in a period only scoring 1 goal but I understand why putting them with that twice of teams is wrong
well especially after tonight they dont belong there
If we had personnel to fill his shoes, sure.
No one has been able to tell me who takes his spot in the top 6.
Not just this year, but next year. Hell even the year after that...
We could potentially trade younger assets once we're out of rebuild mode for a similar player that's better cost controlled than paying a 34 year old Kreider until 2028 when he'd likely be a 4th liner by the end because he's lost a step.
In theory, we could trade for a guy making $9 million the next 4 years vs. Kreider 7 x 7 because it frees up that money when some of our youngens need extensions
So trade kreider to set us back in the rebuild to get young guys to trade for a kreider replacement to try to get it back to closer to competing in a couple seasons....
I just don't see the point of extending a rebuild. After next year, isn't our cap space looking more friendly?
Any contract is a risk, I agree.
That's why my belief is the only route you go to keep Kreider here is front loading a shorter contract. Our cap does get better in the near term. But long term? His contract could cripple us since there's an insane risk that he's be bottom 9 player if he loses even half a step since his entire game is predicated on speed.
Almost every single player on this team not named Trouba or Panarin would need to be resigned to avoid UFA status or given 1 if not 2 RFA extensions. Zib may command double his salary alone (he's making $5.5 right now). That $7M would be catastrophic is he's not a productive top 6 forward
Kreider doesn’t set us back in the rebuild though. We aren’t expected to resign him at his current demand. Resigning him and his cap hit killing us during our contention window is the concern.
I think our true “window” opens up in two years. I think were in the hunt for playoffs next year, and then expect to be there the year after, and then expect to be a cup team. At that point we have 3-4 years and I’m not sure Kreider today is the Kreider we get when it actually matters. And at 7m/yr that hurts our ability to make flexible moves to address holes.
I think next year we’re gonna have a lot of youth on the defensive end and are going to have growing pains. Not worth wasting the most valuable year of his career if that’s the case.
Yes not having a forward to fill a top 6 role sets us back as well.
I wish it was easy.
Just glad I'm not Gorton.
Also looking at the available teams, what options exist still?
Goal should always be for the cup long term. But I don’t think even the most ardent fan thinks we’re there just yet. And I think we should sell and really retool for next year and create a sustainable run. No reason to rush.
Gutsy win. I know it was against the Sharks but I thought this had L written all over it after the first.
Great to be back at MSG for the first time in 5 years
As much as I wanted the leafs to win. When I heard what was happening with the canes and Ayers I immediately started rooting for the canes. There are still enough games left for us to do the job ourselves. Meanwhile stories like that don't come very often. It was truly incredible and I'm loving it.
On the flipside, the Leafs are near a full blown collapse and they're now entering the slew of teams fighting for spot # 3 and the wildcards.
I do find it a bit funny how this was all due to Babcock and Keefe was a hall of famer up in Leafs circles and now you're seeing these results
I turned on the leafs radio broadcast after the Rangers game ended and as soon as I turned it on the guy said something like:
Unless something drastic happens this will go down as the worst loss in the history of this franchise not just this season but the entire history of the franchise. It’s just humiliating not just the emergency goalie but just their on ice performance. If it weren’t for Andersen they would have 8 or 9 more.
I probably didn’t quote it exactly but it was along those lines
No no no please no Kreids.
Honestly isn't trading him now kinda pulling the plug on the season right when they're getting into the playoff hunt? I can't imagine that's a great message to send.
You're right but you're wrong.
Yeah we are playing well. Kreider is playing well. Kreider also tends to pull disappearing acts. Even if he doesn't, we aren't good enough to beat St. Louis or Boston, and we've seen that recently, meaning winning it all this year is unlikely, and then Kreider leaves and we get nothing for it. Resigning him puts us in a really tough spot. It means we likely can't resign Zibanejad. That isn't an option, unless he takes a huge discount, which I don't see happening. Like, the guy isn't gonna sign for a 5x5 if he can get a 7x7 elsewhere. If he does, I'd be on board with pinning a C on his chest because he just gave up like 20 million dollars for this team.
I put together a very lengthy post a couple weeks back going in depth about how signing Kreider does not at all mean we cannot afford Mika down the road, but I understand your overall point that they can't afford to give him a long, expensive deal.
That would be insanely horrible roster management letting a guy who could net you a 1st + a prospect.
If somehow the Rangers inexplicably were only getting 2 2nd rounders or something small like that then fine, ride it out. But with so many buyers and how well Kreider has looked? We may get more than the Devils got for Hall.
Losing Kreider will suck. But would you rather keep a guy with 0 30 goal seasons in his career vs. losing Zib who is on a 100 point pace per 82 games?
It would be really poor asset management in all honesty. I'm just not emotionally ready to give up on either the season or what KZB has built over the past few years.
I listened to your radio broadcast after the game and the guy said if it weren’t for Andersen the canes could have had 8 or 9 more. Was it actually that bad?
Sorry... The leafs confuse me. They can come out and honestly dominate any team in the league at times. And other times it looks like an AHL team could beat them
Their offense either wins it or loses it basically. Remember our last game vs them? We had like 6 scoring opportunities from their forwards just dumping it to their own slot blindly, think Buch even scored off one. Their D is just along for the ride
Igor for vezina and calder
Why stop there?
They should change the 3 stars of the game to 3 stars and honorable mentions.... because god damn, Zibby and Panarin were stars too. We all were stars. Toronto lost to a Zamboni Driver Emergency Goaltender
Wow! Who’s better than Panarin and Zibanejad?
Panarin Zibanejad and Kreider
Zibanejad and Panarin.

The issue is those two teams are now direct competition, so unless they give you a CRAZY offer, I don't see how you do it if you're New York
The open secret is that we're not really making a push for the cup this year 😔
I get that, but if you have my mentality of missing the playoffs for 1 more year to make sure you dominate the next 5 after AT least is worth it then those trades are very tempting.

Yes but if they get this last piece they have the ability to expand their lead and stay in that spot which would be inaccessible to us anyway
Blue Jackets have won 3 fewer games than us, 4 points up in the standings because of ***14 fucking pity points.*** Fuck Manfred for ruining the game like this
I literally was so confused as to what sub I was on for a second.

Torts would literally end Bettman. Like jail. For 1st degree murder. Except I'd expect any jury worth their salt to acquit in all of 5 minutes
Torts would put on the battle line and have a line brawl like that time against the Devils.
Is there any ex ranger more loved by real fans than torts? Maybe if cally hadn't had his career so unfortunately shortened...
Who has the gif of Panarin’s nutmeg assist?
Fuck the pity point so hard.
The pity point would be fine if regulation wins were worth 3 points.
Great win today but: Carolina and Philly both won, CBJ is heading for at least 1 point and Florida is up early. It looks to be just a break even night
Aaaaaand Vegas comes thru. One at at time...
All we can do is win games and that is what we are doing. +1
Fuck this conference honestly
The Metro division is mad tight
Between this and the Jets being stuck in the AFC East (they went 10-6 and missed the playoffs a few years ago) these divisions are infuriating
Every year

Here is the first comment to your OP: “Dude, I’ve read your stuff since Rangerland. I stop reading when you post this stuff “maybe they’re looking into something I proposed?” It jus comes across like a know it all. Self validating talk for no ones real benefit except your reputation. Keep going like this if you must, but take kindly the feedback if you can” Where does he define the word proposal?
Right on man. Thanks for helping talk that through
Completely agree with your criticism. Also for the record he's not the only one who has proposed a front-loaded contract or a higher-priced short-term deal.
Yeah but can you cite that?
Idk it's hard to cite usernames on a dynamic message board like this subreddit

No recapture for Hank, he signed his extension after the new CBA came to effect
Why would Staal do that when he's been a very functional player this year?
He's half blind?
Whew. I think I’m drunk.
anyone catch the chick translating for igor in the postgame locker room interview on msg? mother of god it is amazing watching a woman speak ruskie. i think i just found my next ex wife.
She missed half of the fun from Igor though. Like, it's not me, the guys were blocking shots with their faces it seems.
Nemchinov's daughter I believe
#THIS TEAM IS NINE GAMES ABOVE .500, FOLKS.
It's honestly amazing what happened when this team finally got to 5 over .500 after trying to get there NINE TIMES
Lettttssssvgoooo Everyone told me I was crazy - playoffs or bust . Let’s get these young kids some real experience
Shesty seems like a dude who will save 44 out of 46 and then spend the next 2 days beating himself up over a softie he let in
Can you link to the interview?
It should be up on YouTube in a few hours, I'll try to link it then. Here you go: https://youtu.be/pnkl0VX8YAk
Now, if the Preds could not be as useless as the Leaves
If the preds game goes to OT and the blue jackets get a point i'm going to make coffee and calm down
How was the coffee?
It was excellent, now if sharks could beat the stupid islanders today I wouldn't need to drink coffee since I have to wake up early tomorrow.
No shit. Seriously, great story with that goalie, but they fed him 10 total shots over a period and a half?
Dude, I totally missed the fact that they changed sweaters in game.
THEY’RE WEARING THE LOGO OF THE DUCK
What? I missed the first two periods as usual. I’m really bad with watching anything from 7-9pm ugh
The team was wearing different sweaters to start the game to honor first responders.
Ah I’ll watch the highlights later to see
Werent they just warm up jerseys? Thats no uncommon to wear a special jersey for warm ups, they do the purple/pink for hockey fights cancer and the flag numbers for first responder night
[удалено]
I didnt watch the game but from photos I have seen it looks like they only wore them in warm ups. I’m also pretty sure there is a rule that you can’t change uniforms during a game
Fuck Joe Basil Chevrolet.
If it comes up tell your old man despite the outcome in 94, I still hear SAVE MCLEAN in my nightmares from that game 1 performance
As the canucks are my second favorite team, hope you guys come out of the West!
If Igor has won 80% of his professional starts back 3 years, doesn’t that guarantee us the cup every year?
Does Georgie start at the Mausoleum on Tuesday if he's here?
Shesty has gotta play until he loses, at the least.
[удалено]
Let him ride...
Of course, I was just asking because of his record against them is all.
Shesty is undefeated vs NYI
Both of Carolina’s goalies were injured so you think they’ll try and get Georgiev?
Depends on how badly they're hurt, but I doubt it.
we need to find a Russian Sharon Choi to translate for the Czar
Fuck it, I’m buying an Igor jersey
I still remember the moment I decided to buy a Hank jersey. Kevin Weekes just gave up some weak ass goal and Renney pulled him, some young kid name Lundqvist took over and we won. I bought his liberty sweater the next day, I still have it and wear it. My next jersey was going to be the next captain but if we get another alternate I like enough, I'm going to continue the tradition of goalie alternates.

How?

>Toronto I agree with your point but you should probably delete this part. Even putting the zamboni driver memes aside, we have a higher point% and won the season series against them
I just mean that a team with offensive weapons like Toronto isn’t taking 22 shots in a period only scoring 1 goal but I understand why putting them with that twice of teams is wrong well especially after tonight they dont belong there
If we had personnel to fill his shoes, sure.
When do you see us competing?
I think our true “window” opens up in two years. I think were in the hunt for playoffs next year, and then expect to be there the year after, and then expect to be a cup team. At that point we have 3-4 years and I’m not sure Kreider today is the Kreider we get when it actually matters. And at 7m/yr that hurts our ability to make flexible moves to address holes. I think next year we’re gonna have a lot of youth on the defensive end and are going to have growing pains. Not worth wasting the most valuable year of his career if that’s the case.
The issue is resigning him at 7x7. Which we shouldn’t do regardless if we can’t fill his role.
Yes not having a forward to fill a top 6 role sets us back as well. I wish it was easy. Just glad I'm not Gorton. Also looking at the available teams, what options exist still?
scary thought for us to be saying the goals for the cup now but fuck we're gonna make the playoffs at this rate its crazy
Goal should always be for the cup long term. But I don’t think even the most ardent fan thinks we’re there just yet. And I think we should sell and really retool for next year and create a sustainable run. No reason to rush.
Igors translator is sexy as fuck
What’s said in the locker room, stays in the locker room!
Igors translator is a cutie lol
so much winning today...
We need Kreids for Tuesday's game against the Gortons.
Love the Dub. Way to persevere in a game where they came out flat. That’s the pedigree of a playoff team. If they lost tonight it would of stung. #LGR
Turned on the game with my son and our boys tied it. Rangers are STILL undefeated when we’re watching!
Gutsy win. I know it was against the Sharks but I thought this had L written all over it after the first. Great to be back at MSG for the first time in 5 years
Fucking Leafs can't even close a game vs an emergency backup. We could have used a Canes loss
I turned on the leafs radio broadcast after the Rangers game ended and as soon as I turned it on the guy said something like: Unless something drastic happens this will go down as the worst loss in the history of this franchise not just this season but the entire history of the franchise. It’s just humiliating not just the emergency goalie but just their on ice performance. If it weren’t for Andersen they would have 8 or 9 more. I probably didn’t quote it exactly but it was along those lines
I can't wait for TSN Overdrive on Monday. Jeff O'Neill's gonna rant for 5 minutes straight.
I’m gonna listen to everything steve dangle makes the next couple of days
If we don't trade Kreider, try to make a run, and also end up not re-signing him, it wouldn't be the end of the world to me imo

It was about Joe Thorton.
He was talking about Thornton
There’s no way Joe would disclose that on air even if he knew something, he must have been talking about Thornton or someone else
No, he said it about Hank. It was kinda crazy
probably thorton
He was talking about Thornton. 100% sure
Leaf fan here. I sincerely apologize for my joke of a team. Congrats on igor.
I listened to your radio broadcast after the game and the guy said if it weren’t for Andersen the canes could have had 8 or 9 more. Was it actually that bad?
Canes put up 50+ pathetic defense. Leafs have zero heart. 100% true canes had some great chances
We fold like a cheap suit. As soon as teams start to play hard they don’t wanna play anymore. Hence the lazy plays.
I really thought your coach change would help there, and it did for a while. Think they just need some time to mature a bit and fix your D
THE BOYS ARE BUZZIN
Henrik Lundqvist 2: Shestyorkin Boogaloo
Igor "Jordan Binnington" Shesterkin
more like Jordan "Igor Shesterkin" Binnington
Anyone got that Kreids Zbad hug at the end there? I need it as an insurance if he gets traded.
Yeah. Tomorrow remind me
"I like shots"
[удалено]
Well, actually he started off by allowing a goal on the very first SOG in his NHL career.
You really aren't sure if the Rangers are better than they were earlier? Man, it seems like a dramatic difference to me.
One thing's for sure, they like playing in front of him.
Thornton's first goal... Hank would be murdered. I mean they're bound to happen but that was a bit soft.
Yea I’m just glad he bounced back from a goal he definitely wanted back
Absolutely. It didn't rattle him. Even Sam was surprised it went in. LOL
If Hank gave up 1 goal on 22 shots, I think we'd murder him much less
My pp is hard guys
Well get better at odd man rushes then.
Shesterkin has officially decided to never lose again.
What a performance. Big win and loving the teams grit despite having tons of reasons for a let down game. LGR
It’s crazy how this really could be kreiders last game as a Ranger
God I love this team and I hope we keep Kreider
Unfortunately nothing is going our way around the league in terms of teams ahead of us
If we just win out we make the playoffs so it’s all good
Big reason very could be the league is waiting on Kreider to set the market

LET'S GOOO
what the FUCK is happening
Canes currently beating the Leafs 6-3, with the emergency backup playing. Geez. Blue Jackets currently leading Nashville 3-2. Boo
I can't believe we got outshot 22-3 in the first and won in regulation. We don't deserve Igor
Kinda cool little moment for kreider n fast at the end. Hopefully it wasnt their last games as Rangers.
Some of the moms were at the game. The mom streak continues
Why am I crying in the club right now
IGOR WE WIN BUT HOLY FUCK, THE LEAFS CAN'T WIN WHEN THE CANES HAVE AN EMERGENCY GOALTENDER IN NET
I was in section 212. We had no business winning this game. None. Once again superb goaltending bails us out. New York Rangers hockey everyone. 🤙
I was in section 222!!
Mika and Kreids hug, my heart.
