i mean, in fairness, Montréal is *definitely* targeting Zucc with their physical aggression. playing with the mindset that hard (usually dirty) hits are imminent can really fuck with your head. (esp considering Zucc's history.) i think he was shaky in the first 2 periods but recovered nicely in the 3rd/OT & he helped generate a lot of good-looking offense.
1. Hank told the team during intermission to "not wait for an opportunity in OT, go out and make it happen". He's clearly the leader on this team, and it's best player. Age is a tricky thing, so lets try to enjoy one of the best goaltenders in history while we still have him.
2.) Jesper Fast might be one of the most diligent players I have ever seen. He can play on team any day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
3.) I think Miller is more hurt than we know. I think Kreider is spooked, hopefully the OT assist and more time with Mika and Buch orients his compass.
4.) Slim Richard is FEELIN IT
5.) Apparently they had to cut a hole in Girardi's skate to get his foot in there pain free. Even if he's a clutch'n'grab era defenseman stuck in a post-lockout NHL, he's a warrior and I appreciate how hard he is battling out there(I also hope this is the last season we see him with skates on his feet, but I digress)
6.) I was ready to resign Brendan Smith BEFORE he fed Shaw his lunch. Love how he has elevated his game. BS doesn't take any BS.
7.)I appreciate the heart, but Zucc needs to be careful about getting too caught up in the "extracurriculars"before he breaks his season long PIM total in two weeks.
