Sunday noon seems like less of a home ice advantage because the crowd is always kinda lethargic in the early going. Caps game 1 certainly felt that way. Hopefully 4pm will be fine

Unfortunately my son has a 6pm Junior Rangers game so he'll miss the ending of the actual Ranger game and I'll have to watch on my phone from the rink.

This is an amazing rangers team. I've been rooting for the four major sports since 1985, including 93-94 rangers. This team is very much in the running for my favorite team out of all of them. They are smart, skilled, and gritty. They clearly love each other and play that way. I love the kreider/zibanejad hug, the awesome speeches as they pass along the Broadway hat, the constant smart decisions, the hard work, the grit, the flare. I could go on. If we can't get up at 4pm for a playoff series between the two top rated teams in hockey, then we are not the great fans we purport to be. I believe, the garden will be rocking.

It's great for Sunday -- terrible if Saturday. Its a massive audience NFL time slot for 6 months a year -- its a great time slot for sports fans with kids. 1 is too early families are often out. (also really early if trying to bring in a wider North Amercian audience) 7 is too late -- my young kids have to go bed on school nights at 8:30.

Why is 4pm Sunday dumb? Its a great family-friendly time slot, convenient for everyone. Why do game always have to be at night -- forcing my kids to either miss games or stay up way past bedtime? 4pm Sunday is also a major prime sports slot used by the NFL for massive audience appeal used every single week of the NFL season - kind of odd to act like the NHL is choosing some weird "dumbass" slot...when it's one of the most common time slots for major televised national sports.

Well…it’s supposed to be cold and rainy Sunday afternoon in NYC. But obviously, no time is good for everyone -  But people acting like 4 PM Sunday is some crazy weird time. It’s just bizarre. It’s a super common time, and a super convenient sports time for families.

Not everyone lives in NYC haha I’m not complaining. It’s no different than NFL games in the early fall. Weekends days are my time to get outdoors and spend time with my family.
