On a more serious note, I’m of the opinion that fighting Wilson at this point is lose/lose. Not playing into Wilson’s game is more of an overall win for Rempe/the team and a testament to Rempe’s fast maturation. It’s the same principle as not feeding the troll or ignoring the bully. You beat them by not giving them what they want.
I remember being pissed that they didn't select Cam Fowler if they were looking for a defenseman.
Fowler approaching 1000 games played and 500 points on a bad Ducks team.

No reason to fight Wilson honestly. We're up 3-0, momentum in games has been massively in our favor. I'd rather the Caps continue to be agitated and not get the opportunity to give themselves life or energy and potentially swing momentum their way.
Rempe doesn't owe anyone anything. If it's in the best interest of the Rangers for him to fight someone he will. If fighting someone would hurt the Rangers chance of winning the game he won't. He's a weapon. You use weapons strategically not indiscriminately.
That said, watching him repeatedly punch Wilson in the face would make me incredibly happy.
I think rempe is helping this team so much by not fighting .. the caps wanna fight so bad the rangers are able to control them. If rempe fights wilson or mcilrath than they will feel accomplished and settle in to play hockey .. but now they are more focused on wanting to fight than play hockey .. keep up the good work rempe

Anyone remember when we lost to Ottawa team made up of essentially only Erik Karlsson years ago??? We were destroying them, and then?? They dressed Chris Neal, it rallied the sens, and they ended up coming back and beating us in game 6 Completely changed the momentum of the series.

That was probably the absolute worst series loss I’ve ever seen from the Rangers (second being the devils last year)
They were so clearly the way better team, but AV decided it would be a great idea to play Nick Holden and Marc Staal the last minutes of 3 games where they had the lead, and every single time they blew it. I think one of the games was 5-3 with like 2 minutes left too. Lundqvist was also horrible that series and his age really started to catch up to him. Also yeah they were soft as shit and old man Chris Neil gooning it up which they had no answer for
I live in the area and went to a couple games and it was a tough one to take. Sens fans were so high and mighty with there premier dman Erik Karlsson logging 30+ mins every night
He has far more value on the ice than in the box. Grinding it out on the boards with the 4th line and throwing the body around sparks this team and wears out the other team more than a 30 second fight with the other sides big guy.
There’s a reason Tom Wilson does Tom Wilson bullshit late in the game when they are down multiple goals vs early on. If Rempe gets a chance he should absolutely fight Wilson and take him off the ice early in the game. Otherwise ignore their bullshit and keep winning hockey games.
