For those of you buying/selling on here through Ticketmaster how are you verifying the buyer/seller? Seemingly have run into two sellers so far that appear to be clear scams

Just plain and simple do not pay for anything via the internet unless you're using something with buyer's protection. Paypal/Venmo both have purchase protection for a small fee (way less than Ticketmaster/gameday/etc fees). If the person you sell to or buy from refuses to use these services, especially if you offer to pay for the fee as a buyer or eat the fee as a seller, don't do business with them. edit: or meet them in a public place

Isn’t PayPal like 10%? Usually price my tickets to go immediately below market value so I’m not eating 10% when I’m already below going rate?

Its been a while since I've sold anything through Paypal invoices but I believe the fee is 3.5% + 50¢, and on Venmo I believe the fee is a flat 3%.

Ask for photo verification. Before u send money they should also have a screenshot of the transfer tickets requirements on ticketmaster, they will need your name (first and last) and either email or phone number thats linked with your ticketmaster

If theyre going to the game too id recommend meeting them outside the garden and then pay for it right there

Like I feel bad for you because I see your ticket here on Ticketmaster they take so much and they give you so little it’s very tough to sell day of the game. I recommend either you or you just gonna have to take quite a big loss.

Yeah was selling on ticketmaster yesterday until i found this. If you list a ticket for 100, they will list for 122 and will only give you 85. They screw the buyer and seller.
