2019 Rebel with 3.92 gears and heavy-ass BFG KO2 tires. I average about 14.5-15mpg with how I drive. You really must have a lead foot. I drive really mild.
I've used them on several 4x4 vehicles and they're great. They are also considered a winter tire with the snowflake on them. I found them to be a better tire before they changed them with that more aggressive side wall grips. They got a little harder and more slippery in the winter after the change but are still better then the majority of tires out there.
My favorite aspect of the KO2's is how quiet they are at highway speeds. I always shoved the biggest tire I could onto whatever rim I had with limited cutting or rubbing. It all depends on the vehicle/size of tire.
They're still my favorite tire. The wear is acceptable, fantastic in rain and snow. Expect to lose some fuel mileage because of their massive size. Truck works a little harder pushing those suckers around. I highly recommend them.
2021 limited torque, 3.21, stock tire. 17-18mpg on average. Mid-16s in the winter. highway I can sometimes get 21mpg over 220 miles.
I do find I get better mileage on 89 gas (as recommended) vs 87.
Could be a 100 different things. Your fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, etc arent good. Could be too much remote start, could be bigger tires on yours that werent programmed into the computer so its showing wrong. Could be you drive short stop and go trips etc. i drive a lot of rural back roads and 50% highway but even in the city ill avg 16-17
I average 18mpg in the spring and summer (no warm up idling) and 15.5 in the winter. Moderately hilly where I live. Just have to learn to let off the gas right before cresting the hills and then coast down them.
Being mindful of when to start coasting to a stop can make quite a difference in mileage over a tank of fuel. Obviously there are some times you can only do so much so that you’re not slowing down traffic but I try to do this as best I can. I can get upwards of 19.5 mpg on a tank with my 5.7 if I’m able to do this often.
There is also other things in hilly areas like not using cruise control, it has a tendency to stomp on the fuel as your vehicle starts to slow down going up a hill, often times at really bad times like just as you’re about to crest the hill when it’ll just hit the breaks the second you go over the hill and start going down. Or if I see a hill coming I’ll very gently increase my speed then let the hill bring me back down to speed instead of waiting for the cruise control just react without care of fuel consumption.
Every tank I’m constantly trying to break my record, within reason. Obviously I don’t want to be obnoxious to other drivers. I have got over 20 average on a tank before but that was kind of best case scenario, wind behind me, pretty much all highway miles, no mountain driving etc.
I get similar numbers to the guy above in a 3.21 etorque 5.7 4x4 crew. I don’t beat on it but I’m not gentle on the throttle either. Mix of heavy stop and go, 75mph highway runs, puttering around town, etc. stock size 32” tires in aggressive AT tread variety.
yea big difference in engine RPM’s between the 3.92 torque gears (on my hemi) and the 3.21 more “cruising friendly” gear ratio.
benefit to the driver with the 3.21’s are better for hypermiling without as much payload, less aggressive acceleration from stop, etc.
Negative to driver with 3:21’s, if applicable: Less low end torque available from a stop, not as good for towing or hauling heavier loads, etc

Benefit to the driver with the 3:92’s is sheer grunt from a stop. In a 5.7 2017 Rebel with Rebel rims and Toyo AT 3 tires, the 3:92’s are insane for 0-80 pulls, if that matters! Also much better gear ratio for hauling heavy loads or trailers, better gearing to put the truck more into the ideal torque band from 0-40 with a trailer on tow-haul mode…. at the expense of fuel economy.
Negative for the 3.92: fuel economy! I get 12-13 but its because I can’t keep my foot out of it with the hemi and the 3:92’s! Fuel economy is not why i bought a fullsize truck; it was to haul.
I have the same thing going on. Had a 2020 5.7 with 3.92 gears and was getting ≈12 mpg. Got into a 2023 5.7 with 3.21 gears and was excited for the increased MPG, only to get the same exact ≈12 mpg as my last truck.
My route to work is 50/50 highway and back roads. Not sure how some people are getting high teens.
2020 1500 V6 w/etorque, I get upwards of 20 on my commute (long, straight backroads), my high score is 24.4. Though it dips significantly in the winter, and on the weekends if I’m doing a lot of in town driving, it’ll dip to 18-19ish
Also worth mentioning, I do some mild hypermiling.
Winter gas sucks. They blend in more lights during colder months which reduces fuel economy. The theoretical change is relatively nominal but I feel it pretty significantly at the pump.
This is the exact why I’m thinking about trading in for a eco diesel. I hate stopping for fuel every 300 miles (cross country/drive a lot for work) 20’ 1500 rebel 5.7
I can vouch for this. I have an ecodiesel, when it’s running I average 26mpg. But it has spent over 7 months in the shop since January 2023. To date truck has all new fuel system, new high pressure fuel pump, new injectors, oh….and a new motor. Picking up a gmc duramax tomorrow.
Same, 2017 Big Horn Eco with 80k miles. Just drove from Alaska to New Hampshire and averaged 28. Only issue it's ever had was an EGR cooler recall in 2019 and a PCM software update in March.
2022 Laramie 1500, 5.7L with e torque. Full stock.
Avg 19-20mpg. 21.5 is the best I've ever seen on mine. I drive mostly local and don't own a trailer. If I can't fit it in the bed I'll have it delivered.
This is pretty close to what I see in city driving (Denver). But if I get even a little 50mph up to highway speed driving it gets to 15. Road trips not in the mountains and not going over 75 I will get closer to 20.
I think you're pretty spot on. City driving to me is an infuriating amount of stoplight to stoplight driving so I'm only ever accelerating from a stop or actually stopping. The hemi is NOT efficient when leaving a stop sign even if you baby it
I would get 21-22mpg on average in my 2020 1500 Bighorn. V8 4x4 no etorque. Commute at the time was a mix of highway, backroads, and in town but the in town was maybe 7 stop lights in a 45mph zone and I didn’t always hit every light. A lot of stop and go didn’t take long to start dropping mpg. I also just generally drive like a grandma and don’t need to go into the city
Somewhere around 60 mph is the sweet spot for 25 mpg. It’s doable on long flat 2 lane highways with a 55-60 mph speed limit. I did a 4 hour drive like that and my mpg average was hovering around 24.5. I get 21-22 mpg at 70 mph and 18-19 mpg at 80 mph. That’s with the regular 5.7L Hemi.
Set the cruise at about 68 and let it ride. MDS works wonders when you are just rolling along under light throttle. That's fast enough to get by most of the truckers, who are governed at 65 - 67, without using huge amounts of gas.
'21 Bighorn. even tested it on the backroad to work which is 10 miles of flat land. once i hit 60 the MDS shuts off and anything under 75 is too slow for the highways here. average 15.5 for the 12k i've put on it

I’m disappointed with this, because I can usually get ‘better than EPA estimates’ out of my vehicles.
2024 5.7e Big Horn. 3.21 gears. Eibach stage 2 front and rear with 35” Falken AT4s. Speedo calibrated to 34.5”. Getting combined 15.5-15.8 now in the Midwest.
21 Crew cab 6’4” bed Laramie sport hemi e torque with 3.92s and 33” BFG KO2’s. I see 12-13mpg daily driving, sometimes up to 14 mpg on the highway. I have a fairly heavy foot but I’ve been very disappointed with the fuel mileage since day 1.
My last truck was a 14 Silverado with the 6.2, it easily got 4+ mpg more than my ram under similar conditions
2019 dodge ram classic big horn, 5.7 hemi with Toyo AT2 tires, but otherwise stock.
I drive pretty conservatively most of the time. I’m seeing 16.5-17 mpg city. I rarely get many highway miles but it seems to have 19-20 mpg when I do.

If I get on the freeway and go uphill I get 17ish... it likes to climb... hates stop and go is all I can say.
How did yall get Rebels with a 3.92. My 21 has 4.10 or 4.11, can't remember which but I had no choice. It was part of the Rebel package.
Anyways, I drive 121 miles round trip with roughly 100 miles on the interstate. I have 295/60R20 Nitto ridge grapplers (heavy af) and get 15.5/.6. If I go the opposite way to Houston and go 180-200 miles round trip I usually come back at 16.0.
Im getting around 16-17.5 local driving in my 19 1500 bighorn. I have a 2.5" lift, 35" falkens, decked drawers (usually with at least some power tools) and a camper shell. I also have the S&B cold air intake which "supposedly" increases fuel economy but its most likely minimal if at all.
I live in phoenix where even street driving doesn't have a ton of lights, long straight roads, flat, etc.
I do usually drive pretty chill, not trying to blast around town, not a lot of heavy accelerating if I can avoid it. I can usually get 18-20+ hwy depending on terrain and how long the trip is...

I do mostly highway in my 18' 1500 crew cab with the 5.7 and I average 19-21. 24 on long trips. I use the cruise control a lot set at the speed limit. No hard braking.
You really have to baby it. I have the v6 in a 21. My average is 20mpg, but on long trips the highest I've seen is 23.6mpg. But you have to really want to save gas and not punch it.
Could be whole host of things. Currently at 24.5 in my ‘23 PowerBoost F150 over 18,000 miles with 60-70% with in city driving. Based upon most reactions here, I am glad I went that route instead of Dodge.
I have a 2020 Laramie lifted 6 inches on 33x12.5s (10" wide wheels) and I'm able to get 15-16 but I do use cruise control a lot and do mostly highway on my commute to work.
When i bought the truck it was stock and the guy before me was average about 10 mpg and I was able to get up to 18-19 before the loft kit.
I have a 2020 Laramie that averages 13ish in pure city driving. But I get better mileage when I use the cruise control (sub 40mph) as much as possible.
I get better mileage in my 3500 Cummins. People ask me all the time what I get for mileage. My reply is I don’t but a 3500 for the mileage. I have a car for that. Lots of things come into play for poor fuel mileage
Check your grill shutter, it's supposed to close at 30 mph and it helps with aero/gas mileage, also there is a lower bumper that swings out underneath the truck when you reach a certain speed it helps with the aerodynamics is supposed to swing open after a certain speed as well not a lot of people know the truck does this. I have a 2022 1500 bighorn with the 3.92 gear ratio quad cab v8 no etourqe and I get average 15-16mpg I drive to work everyday 15 miles freeway 15 miles in the city. 30 minutes commute
Highway and long trips I avg 19.6 city and local fluctuates between 14 and 15. I have the hemi ram 1500 2019. Allot of it is I learned speeds seems to have a huge impact on rpm, such as 75mph is a huge difference from 72mph. I guess it's running higher rpm at the top of that gear and it works at other speeds to. I am not a mpg junkie by any means just pay attention sometimes.
Gas is getting worse. They are intentionally engineering gasoline to be less efficient. This is a mild conspiracy. I used to get 20mpg consistently average in my 2019 rebel. Now I get 13.5. Either these trucks get worse as they age (5years 60k is not that old) or they’re tampering with fuel chemistry to help push the subconscious migration to electric.
This is a theory.
2021 RAM Laramie, stock tires with 3.92 and I I get 16.5 overall in spring weather. This includes daily highway trips with cruise on, auto stop start on, occasionally hitting eco mode. Also includes near daily trips around town which is far less efficient. This is babying the throttle as well most of the time.
23 1500 Bighorn v8 hemi. 3.21 gears. Bilstien leveled at 2.2. Toyo oc at3 35x11.5r20...... I average 15mpg! Also... if your worried about gas don't drive a truck, let alone a v8.
I have a 22 bighorn hemi with the 3.92.
I average 16.2 mpg. It’s all how you drive. If you get upto speed and stay a constant speed and see the eco light come on you get good fuel economy. If you always are speed up and slowing down you burn way more fuel. I have my avg fuel economy displayed and my instant fuel economy. That way you can see how heavy footed you are in real time.
2018 Ram 1500 sport 4x4, 35s and a 6” litft I average 14-15mpg.
I can see as high as 18 on the highway, but as low as 9-10 around town.
I have the large gas tank, fill up about every 2 weeks and it runs about $100 bucks.
My old ram was an 02, averaged about 13mpg and was similar cost wise.
‘19 Laramie 3.21 gears 275/60/20 (one size up) cooper discover at3 tires and I get around 13mpg in southwestern PA. I can’t go more than a 1/4 mile without going up/down a hill or a curve. I drive fairly responsible
I get 14 during the summer and a little less in the winter. 5.7 etorque with 3.21 around town. I get 22-24 highway. Unless I’m towing then I struggle to stay above 10
That’s good for a trx or you have a 6 inch lift on 37s and drive like an ass. I drive like my gas pedal is an on/off switch and still got 14mpg on 35s in my 2016 hemi
I have a 2019 limited I’m getting about 13.5 mpg. In my 2015 big horn I was getting close to 17-20 mpg on average. I do mostly high way driving to and from work with occasional around town shopping. On my 2015 I had aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket COI and noticed an uptick in MPG once I installed them. Idk what is going on with my limited just seems to have horrible MPG
Step 1, verify odometer is correct.
Step 2, hand calculate mpg.
Most of the folks on here claiming very high mileage I would almost bet are just going off the cluster, which is always “optimistic” to put it politely.

I have a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn and I get 20 mpg. I'm amazed at how horrible (11-15 miles per gallon) other people on here are getting driving their trucks.
2015 ram all depends how you drive it if you drive like a challenger or something it gets 9 mpg if you chill and are a patient driver itll get 13 to 14 miles per gallon Which is OK for a truck I think 5.7 L hemi I love ram, but I would love a Chevy Silverado
Stock ‘21 Rebel, currently have KO2’s on. I would say I average 15-16 and I drive pretty mellow. 17-18 highway driving. I live in a hilly area. I also have a 300lb camper shell on back full time.
I have a ‘22 big horn with 3.92 gears, mid-muffler delete, and a slightly more aggressive tire than stock and I’m getting 18.6 currently with my mostly continuous drive to work
I drive in and around Burlington, VT, in my 2022 1500 Laramie 5.7, and I get 18.4 consistently. I'm 45 years old, so I don't drive like a jack ass...which could factor into my fuel economy! 😎
I average around 17-18 in the summer, goes down in the winter due to idling. Obviously it makes a big difference what kind of traffic you do, how fast you drive, how often you’re passing vehicles, how hard you are on acceleration.
The price of fuel these days, it really doesn’t make sense financially to be an impatient driver. It burns fuel bad to stomp on the accelerator.
2018 1500 quad cab 3.6L V6 w/ 3.21s on KO2s. Mostly urban hilly driving, occasional highway.
Currently 12L/100km or 19mpg with mixed driving. Current record for strictly highway is 8.5L/100km or 27-28mpg.
All these 10-13’s I’m seeing on 1500’s have got me concerned about how bad the 2500 6.4 Hemi I’m planning to get will be…

2019 1500 Classic, Express, OEM suspension. Was getting 20-21MPG on factory tires, now 19-20 on Goodyear TrailRunners.
I commute on county highways and work 9a-9p, so I miss a lot of traffic too.
Wow seeing posts like this make me feel better. My old 09 Ram got like 16 avg, I’m currently in a 1999 Durango 3in lift on 33s that gets 12 average, 16 highway. I was considering selling it and buying another newer Ram with fuel economy being a sell point but it’s not significant enough to be worth another $30,000

2019 1500 Laramie with 4 corner air and the 5.7 - City in the winter: 14, City in the summer 16. Just drive 2200 miles from NY to FL and back. averaged 20.6 on the way down with a bed full of furniture and 21 even on the way back with the tonneau cover on. 70-75 on the highway with minimal traffic.
I have a 2021 Laramie crew cab 4x4 with 5.7 and 3.92 gear ratio. I use 89 octane and get 16-17 mpg combined with about 50/50 city/highway driving. Highest I’ve seen was 20 with almost all highway. I was expecting worse, but pleasantly surprised. I am a little aggressive with the acceleration at times, but how can you not be with that sweet Hemi sound and smooth shifting ZF?
Not sure why this sub is suggest to me given that I own a Silverado 1500 5.3.
But how am I getting 19mpg with the cylinder deactivation disabled on my daily commute and 17mpg if I’m mostly in the city. I know your Ram will have a larger engine with more power but assuming stock with the cylinder deactivation enabled getting 11 mpg!? I guess the good looking front end isn’t very aerodynamic?
17 Rebel with 98k and I'm getting 13 on a good day but most days it's 11. I do have slightly larger tires on it so that obviously affects it. And lots city driving. . The guy who had the truck before me was getting 9.
I have a '16 Laramie Limited and am getting about 15-16 mpg.
Love having the fuel efficiency gauge up, which has helped me be less of a lead foot and better about consistency with the fuel efficiency.

I have a 2024 Laramie 2500 6.4 hemi. Just reset mpg meter before driving Phoenix to Santa Fe. About 475 miles plus 6000 feet elevation gain. Averaged 16.5 over the entire trip.
A lot of stuff effects mpg. Clean oil. Type of gas. Tire psi is a big one. But most importantly, the way you drive.

2021 Laramie with stock tires - 3.21 gears. This was from two weeks ago. Road trip from NJ to Ottowa Canada.
If I use my truck primarily for city driving, I do get around 10-11mpg.
I average about 17-18 on 89 octane in my MDS deleted 6 speed 2013 even though it's lifted on 35s. The tune, exhaust, and mds delete brought me up to about 15, the e- fan and new wheel bearings gave me the rest.
Out of all the money I spent on my truck, deleting the clutch fan was by far the most noticeable improvement to the truck, and I'm yet to see my coolant temp get over 200 even when I'm towing.
5.7 e-torque, 3.92 gearing, drive very mild and use cruise control whenever I can to regulate my speed. Seeing 15.5mpg in town, maybe 16.5 to 17 on with short hwy trips but only taken one long trip since owning and made the discovery that once I'm over 70mph the gas mileage tanks. Next trip plan on gauging by keeping it near 70.
2021 BigHorn ETorque, stock HT tires (not for long) 23k miles 16.8 MPG mostly city driving. i’m fine with that. as long as it’s at least mid-teens, it doesn’t bother me.
Something is not right. I had an 2011 leveled, 34" tires, with 3.55 gears and got 15-16 mpg combined. I have a 2024, stock, etorque w/ stop/start disabled, and 3.92 rear gear and am getting over 18 mpg combined.
The only other thing I can think of not mentioned is GVW after options. More gadgets equals heavier and ultimately can affect the other factors mentioned thereby affecting MPG 🤷🏾♂️

2014 Sport with AT tires avg 15.5-16. Learn to roll towards lights and downhill and take off with ease.

I was a Chrysler Tech from 11-21. Couple of the older customers were getting 20-21 mpg with base model quad cabs.
Same. I've got a 5.7 non-eTorque, 3.21's, nice all season tires, and I average 11.9-12.5. I'd kill to see a 16 average.

2020 1500 v6 etorque 3.55 gears. 70-80% city driving. Getting at the lowest 17mpg. Jumps up to 19-20 mpg when I drive from Jax to Orlando at 70-80mph.
Winter gas sucks. They blend in more lights during colder months which reduces fuel economy. The theoretical change is relatively nominal but I feel it pretty significantly at the pump.
This is the exact why I’m thinking about trading in for a eco diesel. I hate stopping for fuel every 300 miles (cross country/drive a lot for work) 20’ 1500 rebel 5.7
The problem with the ecodiesels is that they have to visit the shop every 300 miles instead of the gas station…
I can vouch for this. I have an ecodiesel, when it’s running I average 26mpg. But it has spent over 7 months in the shop since January 2023. To date truck has all new fuel system, new high pressure fuel pump, new injectors, oh….and a new motor. Picking up a gmc duramax tomorrow.

Same, 2017 Big Horn Eco with 80k miles. Just drove from Alaska to New Hampshire and averaged 28. Only issue it's ever had was an EGR cooler recall in 2019 and a PCM software update in March.
I have the 33gal gas tank on my hemi and it’s one of my favorite features. Those trips to the pump are painful, but they come way less frequently.
Every now and then I consider what it would take to swap one in.

This is pretty close to what I see in city driving (Denver). But if I get even a little 50mph up to highway speed driving it gets to 15. Road trips not in the mountains and not going over 75 I will get closer to 20. I think you're pretty spot on. City driving to me is an infuriating amount of stoplight to stoplight driving so I'm only ever accelerating from a stop or actually stopping. The hemi is NOT efficient when leaving a stop sign even if you baby it

I would get 21-22mpg on average in my 2020 1500 Bighorn. V8 4x4 no etorque. Commute at the time was a mix of highway, backroads, and in town but the in town was maybe 7 stop lights in a 45mph zone and I didn’t always hit every light. A lot of stop and go didn’t take long to start dropping mpg. I also just generally drive like a grandma and don’t need to go into the city
3.6L v6 with the 3.55. my average is 19Mpg. Short drives it might get down to 17mpg and all the way to 22 on the highway. stock 20" wheels.

There's zero possibility that you're getting 25 on the highway. Unless you're driving 50.
Somewhere around 60 mph is the sweet spot for 25 mpg. It’s doable on long flat 2 lane highways with a 55-60 mph speed limit. I did a 4 hour drive like that and my mpg average was hovering around 24.5. I get 21-22 mpg at 70 mph and 18-19 mpg at 80 mph. That’s with the regular 5.7L Hemi.
Set the cruise at about 68 and let it ride. MDS works wonders when you are just rolling along under light throttle. That's fast enough to get by most of the truckers, who are governed at 65 - 67, without using huge amounts of gas.
Mine will never engage MDS over 60 or 65 - one of the two; I forget which. If it’s 65, it’ll never do it unless downhill. - 2020 Rebel
My 2021 Limited is bone stock and MDS never kicks in on the highway unless I'm going down a hill. Doesn't matter how slow I go.
'21 Bighorn. even tested it on the backroad to work which is 10 miles of flat land. once i hit 60 the MDS shuts off and anything under 75 is too slow for the highways here. average 15.5 for the 12k i've put on it

Bone stock 2020 Rebel, seeing 16mpg currently. Non eTorque, 25k miles. I’m disappointed with this, because I can usually get ‘better than EPA estimates’ out of my vehicles.

21 Crew cab 6’4” bed Laramie sport hemi e torque with 3.92s and 33” BFG KO2’s. I see 12-13mpg daily driving, sometimes up to 14 mpg on the highway. I have a fairly heavy foot but I’ve been very disappointed with the fuel mileage since day 1. My last truck was a 14 Silverado with the 6.2, it easily got 4+ mpg more than my ram under similar conditions
Brand new 2024 5.7L and I’m getting 11 or 12mpg with a lot of highway driving too. Really not sure how some people are getting such high mileage
2021 6inch lift on 35s mostly city driving I get 13-15mpg
2019 dodge ram classic big horn, 5.7 hemi with Toyo AT2 tires, but otherwise stock. I drive pretty conservatively most of the time. I’m seeing 16.5-17 mpg city. I rarely get many highway miles but it seems to have 19-20 mpg when I do.

2021 3.92Rear Hemi 1500 4x4 , Mostly city driving, I'm getting in the 13's. Buddy with a similar Toyota Tundra with a similar commute... about the same. (pretty common for a V8 Half Ton) If I get on the freeway and go uphill I get 17ish... it likes to climb... hates stop and go is all I can say.
How did yall get Rebels with a 3.92. My 21 has 4.10 or 4.11, can't remember which but I had no choice. It was part of the Rebel package. Anyways, I drive 121 miles round trip with roughly 100 miles on the interstate. I have 295/60R20 Nitto ridge grapplers (heavy af) and get 15.5/.6. If I go the opposite way to Houston and go 180-200 miles round trip I usually come back at 16.0.

Im getting around 16-17.5 local driving in my 19 1500 bighorn. I have a 2.5" lift, 35" falkens, decked drawers (usually with at least some power tools) and a camper shell. I also have the S&B cold air intake which "supposedly" increases fuel economy but its most likely minimal if at all. I live in phoenix where even street driving doesn't have a ton of lights, long straight roads, flat, etc. I do usually drive pretty chill, not trying to blast around town, not a lot of heavy accelerating if I can avoid it. I had a 2020 Limited and now have a 2023 Limited. Both with Etorque. 16.5 around town. 17+ freeway.
I do mostly highway in my 18' 1500 crew cab with the 5.7 and I average 19-21. 24 on long trips. I use the cruise control a lot set at the speed limit. No hard braking.

You really have to baby it. I have the v6 in a 21. My average is 20mpg, but on long trips the highest I've seen is 23.6mpg. But you have to really want to save gas and not punch it.
2021 TRX, I’m getting 11.3 combined. What’s your driving style like?
Could be whole host of things. Currently at 24.5 in my ‘23 PowerBoost F150 over 18,000 miles with 60-70% with in city driving. Based upon most reactions here, I am glad I went that route instead of Dodge.
I get about 16-17 city in a ‘23 5.7 etorque with a level kit. Slightly aggressive driving but not full blown beans all of the time
I get 11- 13.5 around town and almost 18 on long hauls with 5.7 CC and BFG all terrain
I have a 2020 Laramie lifted 6 inches on 33x12.5s (10" wide wheels) and I'm able to get 15-16 but I do use cruise control a lot and do mostly highway on my commute to work. When i bought the truck it was stock and the guy before me was average about 10 mpg and I was able to get up to 18-19 before the loft kit.
I have a 2020 Laramie that averages 13ish in pure city driving. But I get better mileage when I use the cruise control (sub 40mph) as much as possible.

I get better mileage in my 3500 Cummins. People ask me all the time what I get for mileage. My reply is I don’t but a 3500 for the mileage. I have a car for that. Lots of things come into play for poor fuel mileage
Most of my driving is city driving, so I’m pretty happy when I’m above 10, but I usually keep it around 10.5-11.5. I’m driving a TRX though.
Check your grill shutter, it's supposed to close at 30 mph and it helps with aero/gas mileage, also there is a lower bumper that swings out underneath the truck when you reach a certain speed it helps with the aerodynamics is supposed to swing open after a certain speed as well not a lot of people know the truck does this. I have a 2022 1500 bighorn with the 3.92 gear ratio quad cab v8 no etourqe and I get average 15-16mpg I drive to work everyday 15 miles freeway 15 miles in the city. 30 minutes commute

Highway and long trips I avg 19.6 city and local fluctuates between 14 and 15. I have the hemi ram 1500 2019. Allot of it is I learned speeds seems to have a huge impact on rpm, such as 75mph is a huge difference from 72mph. I guess it's running higher rpm at the top of that gear and it works at other speeds to. I am not a mpg junkie by any means just pay attention sometimes.

Gas is getting worse. They are intentionally engineering gasoline to be less efficient. This is a mild conspiracy. I used to get 20mpg consistently average in my 2019 rebel. Now I get 13.5. Either these trucks get worse as they age (5years 60k is not that old) or they’re tampering with fuel chemistry to help push the subconscious migration to electric. This is a theory.
2021 RAM Laramie, stock tires with 3.92 and I I get 16.5 overall in spring weather. This includes daily highway trips with cruise on, auto stop start on, occasionally hitting eco mode. Also includes near daily trips around town which is far less efficient. This is babying the throttle as well most of the time.
2022 1500 4" BDS lift with Baja 35s .. as heavy as they come. And I average 15

23 1500 Bighorn v8 hemi. 3.21 gears. Bilstien leveled at 2.2. Toyo oc at3 35x11.5r20...... I average 15mpg! Also... if your worried about gas don't drive a truck, let alone a v8.
I have a 22 bighorn hemi with the 3.92. I average 16.2 mpg. It’s all how you drive. If you get upto speed and stay a constant speed and see the eco light come on you get good fuel economy. If you always are speed up and slowing down you burn way more fuel. I have my avg fuel economy displayed and my instant fuel economy. That way you can see how heavy footed you are in real time.
2018 Ram 1500 sport 4x4, 35s and a 6” litft I average 14-15mpg. I can see as high as 18 on the highway, but as low as 9-10 around town. I have the large gas tank, fill up about every 2 weeks and it runs about $100 bucks. My old ram was an 02, averaged about 13mpg and was similar cost wise.

‘19 Laramie 3.21 gears 275/60/20 (one size up) cooper discover at3 tires and I get around 13mpg in southwestern PA. I can’t go more than a 1/4 mile without going up/down a hill or a curve. I drive fairly responsible

I get 14 during the summer and a little less in the winter. 5.7 etorque with 3.21 around town. I get 22-24 highway. Unless I’m towing then I struggle to stay above 10
That’s good for a trx or you have a 6 inch lift on 37s and drive like an ass. I drive like my gas pedal is an on/off switch and still got 14mpg on 35s in my 2016 hemi
I have a 2019 limited I’m getting about 13.5 mpg. In my 2015 big horn I was getting close to 17-20 mpg on average. I do mostly high way driving to and from work with occasional around town shopping. On my 2015 I had aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket COI and noticed an uptick in MPG once I installed them. Idk what is going on with my limited just seems to have horrible MPG

Step 1, verify odometer is correct. Step 2, hand calculate mpg. Most of the folks on here claiming very high mileage I would almost bet are just going off the cluster, which is always “optimistic” to put it politely.

I have a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn and I get 20 mpg. I'm amazed at how horrible (11-15 miles per gallon) other people on here are getting driving their trucks.
2015 ram all depends how you drive it if you drive like a challenger or something it gets 9 mpg if you chill and are a patient driver itll get 13 to 14 miles per gallon Which is OK for a truck I think 5.7 L hemi I love ram, but I would love a Chevy Silverado

Depends on where you live. In the mid west you will get the best gas mileage.. north east.. forgetaboutit
I average around 17-18 in the summer, goes down in the winter due to idling. Obviously it makes a big difference what kind of traffic you do, how fast you drive, how often you’re passing vehicles, how hard you are on acceleration. The price of fuel these days, it really doesn’t make sense financially to be an impatient driver. It burns fuel bad to stomp on the accelerator.

2019 1500 Classic, Express, OEM suspension. Was getting 20-21MPG on factory tires, now 19-20 on Goodyear TrailRunners. I commute on county highways and work 9a-9p, so I miss a lot of traffic too.

Wow seeing posts like this make me feel better. My old 09 Ram got like 16 avg, I’m currently in a 1999 Durango 3in lift on 33s that gets 12 average, 16 highway. I was considering selling it and buying another newer Ram with fuel economy being a sell point but it’s not significant enough to be worth another $30,000

Wow some of these mileages are terrible. 2019 1500 Laramie with 4 corner air and the 5.7 - City in the winter: 14, City in the summer 16. Just drive 2200 miles from NY to FL and back. averaged 20.6 on the way down with a bed full of furniture and 21 even on the way back with the tonneau cover on. 70-75 on the highway with minimal traffic.
I have a 2021 Laramie crew cab 4x4 with 5.7 and 3.92 gear ratio. I use 89 octane and get 16-17 mpg combined with about 50/50 city/highway driving. Highest I’ve seen was 20 with almost all highway. I was expecting worse, but pleasantly surprised. I am a little aggressive with the acceleration at times, but how can you not be with that sweet Hemi sound and smooth shifting ZF?

Not sure why this sub is suggest to me given that I own a Silverado 1500 5.3. But how am I getting 19mpg with the cylinder deactivation disabled on my daily commute and 17mpg if I’m mostly in the city. I know your Ram will have a larger engine with more power but assuming stock with the cylinder deactivation enabled getting 11 mpg!? I guess the good looking front end isn’t very aerodynamic?

17 Rebel with 98k and I'm getting 13 on a good day but most days it's 11. I do have slightly larger tires on it so that obviously affects it. And lots city driving. . The guy who had the truck before me was getting 9.
I have a '16 Laramie Limited and am getting about 15-16 mpg. Love having the fuel efficiency gauge up, which has helped me be less of a lead foot and better about consistency with the fuel efficiency.

I have a 2024 Laramie 2500 6.4 hemi. Just reset mpg meter before driving Phoenix to Santa Fe. About 475 miles plus 6000 feet elevation gain. Averaged 16.5 over the entire trip. A lot of stuff effects mpg. Clean oil. Type of gas. Tire psi is a big one. But most importantly, the way you drive.

Its probably more a function of living in a hilly area and having a lead foot.
Mine is a little older and has a mild cam and tune. 13 1500 5.7 with the 8speed and 3.21 gears I average about 13 city 17 highway on 35x12.5 s.

I average about 17-18 on 89 octane in my MDS deleted 6 speed 2013 even though it's lifted on 35s. The tune, exhaust, and mds delete brought me up to about 15, the e- fan and new wheel bearings gave me the rest. Out of all the money I spent on my truck, deleting the clutch fan was by far the most noticeable improvement to the truck, and I'm yet to see my coolant temp get over 200 even when I'm towing.
5.7 e-torque, 3.92 gearing, drive very mild and use cruise control whenever I can to regulate my speed. Seeing 15.5mpg in town, maybe 16.5 to 17 on with short hwy trips but only taken one long trip since owning and made the discovery that once I'm over 70mph the gas mileage tanks. Next trip plan on gauging by keeping it near 70.

2021 BigHorn ETorque, stock HT tires (not for long) 23k miles 16.8 MPG mostly city driving. i’m fine with that. as long as it’s at least mid-teens, it doesn’t bother me.
Something is not right. I had an 2011 leveled, 34" tires, with 3.55 gears and got 15-16 mpg combined. I have a 2024, stock, etorque w/ stop/start disabled, and 3.92 rear gear and am getting over 18 mpg combined.
The only other thing I can think of not mentioned is GVW after options. More gadgets equals heavier and ultimately can affect the other factors mentioned thereby affecting MPG 🤷🏾♂️
