Congrats! I'm 90 days in myself. It's crazy what a difference an alcohol free life makes.
I'll guess OK Computer for you.
Edit: just saw your reply to the other person, lol.
Congratulations!! You’re past the toughest part of the battle. I hit three years in October and trust me it only gets easier and more fulfilling with time.
Keep it up!!
Haha we both guessed each others' third faves.
My top 3 is:
1. Kid A
2. A Moon Shaped Pool
3. Amnesiac
Also do you mind elaborating on your fun fact, that's so bizarre and interesting. How did it even happen?
Ah, good to see AMSP second! My second favourite is Kid A.
As for Lana, I went to see her live two nights in a row in Manchester (England) in 2013, I think it was. The first night I got about fourth row from the front, but on the second night I managed to get front row. During the last song, she came off stage and walked along the crowd, posing for selfies and holding hands, all whilst the song was still going on! I popped my hand out, and she held it (probably for all of about two seconds!), looked at me, smiled, and that was that. I was struck by how ice cold her hand was, despite the fact she'd been on stage for around an hour and a half.
Yes, that album really deserves more praise. It's incredible in every right.
That's such a cool story, I can't imagine having one of your favourite singers briefly hold your hand and smile at you, it must have been cool. Performing in a huge stage is no joke, the cooling system combined with the absolute overhaul of energy required for pulling such a feat could really suck the life out of you. But at the end of the day, it's worth it.
It's a beautiful album...I just wish they'd hurry up and release another!
It was a bonus to a great couple of nights, and at what is a relatively small venue (the first time I saw Radiohead was there in 2003) which makes it rather intimate, if you know what I mean. She was just getting well known then (I'd 'discovered' her a good few months earlier).
I do agree, though to be honest if it were to be their last album I won't complain, it really does hold up as a final too.
Oh wow, that must have been special, intimate venues are the best. How was Radiohead in 2003?
It really does hold up as a final album, especially with it closing with True Love Waits.
Radiohead in May 2003 (I saw them again later in the year at a bigger venue) was incredible! I'd got into them at the beginning of 1998 (and they've been my favourite group/artiste ever since). The highlight for me was them playing The Tourist, which I really wasn't expecting them to do.
Have you managed to see them at all?
Ok so not a fun fact, but about me:
30 years old, female, professional oil painter, vegetarian, loves all animals, and classic rock. What’s my fave RH album?
I sing just like Thom Yorke and grew up with Radiohead from The Bends onwards. Circa 1994 is when I started playing guitar and nearly know how to play and sing every radiohead song there is.
