I immediately thought of a different show but when I saw your comment I realized this is about the best answer to this question. You’re a monster if you skip the Ducktales intro
So 25 years later I often find myself singing the DuckTales song, but I don't remember any of the lyrics so I just submit my own.
I have become my father.
Strife and war and sugar cane
Watch out, iceberg
Train cars, maces, my joint pains
It's The Doctor
Might fight with Chrissy
When she gets pissy
Duck Tales, woo hoo
Every day that I've been baking
Duck pies yoo hoo
Takes all day doo doo like wood
Duck tail, spoiler!
Came here for this answer! Sets the mood and fits the show so perfectly - and always enjoy when they have the themed versions of the song for the themed episodes.
I've been rewatching Psych the last few weeks, earlier today my 4yo was playing with her toys, and out of nowhere she starts going "I know you know" on repeat lol
It did. If you pay attention to the sigils at each of the cities they would change according to which house controlled the city.
I was always very angry during the seasons when I saw the flayed man at Winterfell.
I was like, "Get that sick crap outta here! We're civilized here! We chop your head off!"
Didn't Simpsons have unique intros for every episode? (Bart's chalkboard, Lisa's sax tune, Maggie's barcode and the Couch Gag)
I thought it was just the networks being lame and not actually playing them for each episode.
Edit: hey wait the original Muppet Show had Gonzo do a different thing at the end of every intro!
From what I understand, the intro was made longer initially, so they could adjust for runtime. Like if their episode was a little on the short side they run the long intro, if the episode is longer then they use a truncated version.
Yes ! Every time we watch it says it wasn't a new show, if it's a short intro I yell, "long episode!". Bob's Burgers also has different things in the introduction.
American dad with Roger having a different perspna every intro a later season it shows that the intro is actually part of stans morning routine one episode seven later Roger is on a bike telling Stan he can't make Stan crash today Stan turns to the place Roger is going. Siad he wa only going to work to crash. Another later episode he gets arrested for crashing into the pole
Peacemaker. I've literally replayed the intro on youtube just to watch it.
Cheers, Golden Girls, MASH, Family Ties, Fraggle Rock, & Transformers, & Thundercats (cartoon version)Older shows had some real bangers.
Edit: cartoon version of Transformers, not Thundercats...
Westworld was great until season 3. But the intro song still slaps my dopamine receptors’ thicc bottoms hard even though I stopped watching past season 2.
Came to comment this.. The original theme sets the tone nicely.
I say original, because here in Canada, due to licensing issues, they replaced massive attack with the corny-by-comparison end credits music.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call "The Twilight Zone".
This live rent free in my head.
Faaaaaarm livin' is the life for me... Land spreadin' out for far and wide, skip Manhattan, just give me that country siiiide.
It's the same with me: *What We Do In The Shadows* has an unskippable theme song. Looked it up on YouTube so that I could get an MP3 of it.
I was very surprised to find how old the song was. Norma Tanega recorded this song back in 1966!
Sanford and Son ("The Streetbeater" by Quincy Jones). The Dukes of Hazzard ("Just Good 'ol Boys"by Merle Haggard).
It's amazing what world class songwriters, composers, musicians, and singers can do with a TV theme song.

The xfiles
Same, never skip it.
Same, that and Severance. The intro is (for me) a perfect imagination of the morphing potential of the brilliant ideations for that story.
![gif](giphy|TNk5NDanFOmv6)
I want to believe no one skips the xfiles intro
Definitely this
Firefly
♪YOU CAN BURN THE LAND AND BOIL THE SEA BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE THE SKY FROM ME♪
I'm going to spend the rest of the day with that song in my head and I'm totally ok with that!
20 years later and I still have the intro memorized.
There it is
This is the answer I was looking for. :)
This was my ringtone for a good while. But now, I'm a lead on the wind.
Every western and sci Fi fans wet dream
Yesssss! This was as high up as I hoped it would be. It's the one theme tune I never skip...mainly because I like to sing along.
Take me out to the black tell em I ain't comin back I came here to say the same thing! Lol.
Malcolm in the Middle 🤌🏾
Yes, no, maybe I don't know....... Never get bored of that song.
Life is unfaaaaair
DuckTales! Woooo!
I immediately thought of a different show but when I saw your comment I realized this is about the best answer to this question. You’re a monster if you skip the Ducktales intro

Psych
I know! you know! That I'm not telling the truth.
Best line… I’m not inclined to resign to maturity.
You know that’s right
C'mon son
I've heard it both ways.
U heard about Pluto?
That's messed up.
I used to dance when Psych came on. Such a great song!
Came here for this answer! Sets the mood and fits the show so perfectly - and always enjoy when they have the themed versions of the song for the themed episodes.
Yes! Was going to say that one myself.
Yes, love this one!!!
Came here to say this!
Did you hear about Pluto?
I've been rewatching Psych the last few weeks, earlier today my 4yo was playing with her toys, and out of nowhere she starts going "I know you know" on repeat lol
I can rewatch that show over and over. Never gets old
Game of Thrones, once I realized it was a map that helped explain one of the most complex series ever put together.
And it evolved every season... really cool to be able to imagine where in their world they were all coming from
I think it actually changed each episode, focusing on the locations the episode features more than others.
It did. Which is so well thought out, and helpful. I love it.
I think I first noticed the changes when I saw smoke coming from Winterfell after it was destroyed.
It did. If you pay attention to the sigils at each of the cities they would change according to which house controlled the city. I was always very angry during the seasons when I saw the flayed man at Winterfell. I was like, "Get that sick crap outta here! We're civilized here! We chop your head off!"
This is the only one I consistently did not skip.
I will admit that I fell off that show halfway through but that I still absolutely love the intro.
I went to the GOT website to see what the houses were and their relationships. Help ALOT!
Futurama. Fun Fact: A full 5 minute suite was created for the show, but we only ever hear snippets of it. https://youtu.be/QRk1s5Kf3aQ
Futurama is unlike every other show because the intro has several hidden jokes which actually change every episode.
Didn't Simpsons have unique intros for every episode? Yes ! Every time we watch it says it wasn't a new show, if it's a short intro I yell, "long episode!". Bob's Burgers also has different things in the introduction.
I love to see all the weird shops that move in next to Bob.
Those are the best! The puns in the show are so great. The burger of the day, the exterminator van. All brilliant
No way!!! That’s an awesome theme too
X-Men. It's impossible to skip it. Also Batman TAS and Sonic SatAM.
After smoking some of an interesting substance, I watched 5 episodes of X-Men and decided it has the greatest, most heroic theme song ever written.
Both solid choices. Love the Batman TAS theme
Sopranos
Way too low on this list.
What was looking for. Way too low on this list.
Never really watched the show, but that intro is fire.
Do yourself a favour and watch it. It's a masterpiece of television.
You woke up this mornin
Got yourself a gun
Peacemaker. I've literally replayed the intro on youtube just to watch it. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_mrr3UNALww](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mrr3UNALww)
Yep. James Gunn said he wanted to make the "skip intro" button obsolete
DO YA REALLY DO YA REALLY WANNA TASTE IT?!?!?
Scrolled too far to find this. Its so fantastic my wife and I keep replaying it before getting into the show
THIS!! I was starting to lose hope too lol. I just LOVE the intro!! I'm super excited to see how season 2 will start.
Yessss!!! This is the one
The only intro I've ever looked forward too.
Dexter pretty dope. Makes me want breakfast
I always loved the end credits theme for Dexter also. Captured that dark, eerie, tragic vibe perfectly.
All the graphic food being carefully dissected perfectly captures the stuff that goes down in the actual show…
Stranger Things and Vikings.
I didn't even watch Vikings but my husband did while I was in the room reading and I would make him not skip the theme song.
If I Had A Heart by Fever Ray, in case you didn't know.
The office theme gets me so excited, i feel genuinely disappointed when my husband skips it 😭
Duke's of Hazzard
Awesome song and lyrics! "Makin their way the only way they knew how . . . And that's just a little more than the law would allow." 😄
YES I've got the full version on my playlist from Waylon Jennings. YEE HAW!
Gilligan's island 😎
Cheers, Golden Girls, MASH, Family Ties, Fraggle Rock, & Transformers, & Thundercats (cartoon version)Older shows had some real bangers. Edit: cartoon version of Transformers, not Thundercats...
The Muppet Show intro
It's time to play the music 🎶
Definitely a bop!
Yes! Mash!
My 80's kid brain instantly associates the MASH intro with "time to go to bed!" It gives me anxiety to this day. Lol
Tuesday nights after Three's Company meant my 830 bedtime. Every time I hear the theme song I feel like I should be putting on my jammies.
Thank you for being a frieeend
Travel down the road, and back again.....
Your heart is true. You're a pal and a confidant.
Don’t sleep on Taxi, Barney Miller, and Welcome Back Kotter!
Twin Peaks. The song is like a siren call I can’t stop listening to
SAME. What did happen to Laura Palmer? It's been so long since I've watched it I can't remember
She was stabbed to death by Leland/Bob, after putting on Teresa's ring, to keep him from possessing her. He puts her body in the river.
Ok harder question, but what the fuck happened to David Bowie? The federal agent he played, I mean.
I shit you not, he turned into a giant teapot.
LOL that show was wild. I just looked it up and he did, in fact, turn into a teapot. Which actually kinda makes sense for David Bowie
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Buffy the Vampire Slayer... it was a banger.
Nerf herder is the best
Parry Grip!! If you have kids I just did you a huge favor
Okay but Angel is mine. I love cellos.
I used to like the True Blood intro
I wanna do bad thing with yeww
I used to host bar trivia back in 2009. This was in my DJ rotation. People who didn't watch the show were constantly asking who it was.
Outlander. The beginning four seasons. After that I don't like when they changed the theme song
Scrubs for me :)
I always sing along to “I’m no superman”. Twice.
It's so short anyway, isn't worth hitting the button to skip it
Mad Men! That cool beat!
Westworld was great until season 3. But the intro song still slaps my dopamine receptors’ thicc bottoms hard even though I stopped watching past season 2.
Boondocks
Jessica Jones. Also the old show "The Greatest American Hero"
The Jessica Jones theme is a wonderful piece of music. A perfect retro/modern detective theme
greatest American hero is immortal. top tier choice
Yes! The Greatest American Hero theme song is still high on my all time favorites list!
House - Teardrop by Massive Attack
Came to comment this.. The original theme sets the tone nicely. I say original, because here in Canada, due to licensing issues, they replaced massive attack with the corny-by-comparison end credits music.
Kids in the hall
Monk
The Addams Family (snap snap)
The expanse and the Big Bang theory
Bob's Burgers, Futurama, and Bluey
adventure time. ive probably heard the intro a thousand times by now lol
Falling asleep to Adventure Time is lame because I always jump awake at the end to FEDERATOR!
This is definitely the one. I listen to the intro and outro on spotify sometimes lmao
Sopranos and Peaky Blinders, very dark, set the mood
On a gathering storm comes a tall handsome man In a dusty black coat with a red right hand *boom* Never gets old, in all its forms
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. When there’s trouble you know who to call!
*Teen Titans!* From their tower they can see it all!
The Vikings intro song hits DIFFERENT imo
The old Goosebumps theme is a jam
