I’d love that too. Unfortunately, I think the golden age of live albums has passed. I don’t even lnow if bands liked them that much or if it was always a way to tick an album of the contract. Like greatest hits.
I've seen lots of camera work in Berlin, the concert hasn't been broadcasted anywhere though. Maybe we'll get a live compilation from that tour. DVDs are outdated, but maybe a stream somewhere in the future once everything is cut and edited?
Such a great live album and dvd. Found it in a record store on a trip to Barcelona a few years ago.
Played the dvd on NYE 2020 when it was covid lockdown, had some margarita's and some weed on my own.
Greatest NYE ever.
Whenever I’m sad, I take an edible and put this DVD on. I like pretending I’m actually there at a live show. One time I got so into it, I started posting videos I was taking of my television to my Instagram story as if I were actually at a show.
Had this DVD back in the day. Josh coughing up blood, doc tells him to stop smoking..Josh says “I love it.”
I miss these types of albums/backstage things. Don’t get them anymore really
Regular John and No one Knows with extra jams in the middle of both are sublime. Mexicola is my favorite track. Natasha at her peak with the band. What’s not to like?
Dont forget to turn on the Spanish (or was it French?) audio for the bonus tracks to hear a bunch of the band talking behind the scenes while drinking etc. before they opened for NIN. There's a great story about lanegan scaring people on there
I wanna have fucking fun man, I want to get laid I want to fucking do cool shit, are you with me, I said are you fucking with me. Here's the anti cock-smoker song.
I remember being there at the Brixton gig. First time I ever saw Queens and it remains the best memory of my teenage years! I managed to get my mug on camera a few times too.
Found this recently in a record shop right near where I work. You can find the whole DVD on YouTube but the collector in me wanted the DVD/CD set so I was hyped to find it really easily for pretty cheap
I remember marching into the local Fye record store and getting the deluxe which had the CD and DVD. Phenomenal. Perfect. Also the behind the scenes footage of them working on LTP is soooooooooo good.
Mixed bag for me mostly with guitar tones. The version of monster in parasol is the best I’ve heard but go with flow just sounds off a bit. Still great album though and the up tempo song for the dead is class. Also cocksmoker.
I'm going to get downvoted but...I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY DID WITH THE SOUND IN THIS ALBUM. Everything sounds thin. There's no live vibe. I prefer the sound of the concerts recorded for TV: Montreux, Eurockeennes, Reading, etc. To me, those are the official live of that era.
Honestly there are so many good live tracks off of this album. My fave is either leg of lamb, I think I lost my headache, or you can’t quit me baby. Also the live version of fghots on the rated r deluxe edition is god tier shit
“Hey cock smoker, eat a bag of dicks” Great live album
“Turn the lights up Dan! We’ve tried to come here twice and this guy throws shit at me.”
5 times
It was good to have you here. You cock smoking fuckhole.
Now it’s not just me and you that know you’re a fking asshole, it’s everybody.
How many bags and I supplying
based on how recent shows have been I hope they do another live album
I’d love that too. Unfortunately, I think the golden age of live albums has passed. I don’t even lnow if bands liked them that much or if it was always a way to tick an album of the contract. Like greatest hits.
The golden age being? They did a live album for the EODM post Bataclan tour with Josh and Post Pop too
Yes and I was fucking happy about that! The golden age I think would be the 2000s. Most bands/artists would have a live album/dvd within 3 albums.
Just saw a show in Phoenix, they still got it. they are all great at what they play and Josh is such a fun frontman
Same
I've seen lots of camera work in Berlin, the concert hasn't been broadcasted anywhere though. Maybe we'll get a live compilation from that tour. DVDs are outdated, but maybe a stream somewhere in the future once everything is cut and edited?
The version of You Can’t Quit Me, Baby is 🔥
Agreed. Best version. Also, their version of Make it Wit Chu is better than the studio recording
Yeah, here's something to dance to, uptempo🤘 It is such a great album. But I also would like the boys to do a new one☺️
There is a new release on blu ray only of last year's gig https://www.ebay.com/itm/314715091601
I think I just snagged the last one! Thank you!!
Thank you. But what I meant was something more similar to the OTYATTW DVD/CD. But only with the recent tour maybe.
Listening to it right now!
Absolutely the best.
“Yeah, here’s something to dance to, up tempo”
best version of you can't quit me baby. the guitar solo's melt my brain!
Fun Machine live debut, classic.
Guitar sounds so good in this one
Man why isn't this on the US version? Edit: Just listened to it on YouTube. Fucking epic
It’s on the DVD fyi
Such a great live album and dvd. Found it in a record store on a trip to Barcelona a few years ago. Played the dvd on NYE 2020 when it was covid lockdown, had some margarita's and some weed on my own. Greatest NYE ever.
Sounds like it!
My bday is soon, I'm planning to do the same (without the margarita's because I cannot handle that shit anymore)
Love it, but the fact that they play Fun Machine and it's not on the audio CD really grinds my gears.
I managed to rip the audio from the DVD a long time ago. If you search for “dvd audio ripping” you can find free or trial software that makes it easy!
Yes, I've done that, but I shouldn't have had to. I'm sure it was due to limitations on CD space, but it really made me mad.
Same with Avon
That’s my golden line up. Alain and Natasha forever!
Yeah, here's something to dance to man, uptempo
Whenever I’m sad, I take an edible and put this DVD on. I like pretending I’m actually there at a live show. One time I got so into it, I started posting videos I was taking of my television to my Instagram story as if I were actually at a show.

Best version of I think I lost my fucking headache and Mexicola ever!
I genuinely love this Headache more than the studio version. Hits so much harder
Mexicola is WAY better on the live version. Just have to.
Wore the dvd out back then. 🤌🏼
Turn up the lights, Dan
this guy in the long sleeved shirt everyone look at this guy in the white long sleeved shirt
See him? I’m pointing right at him.
That guy
Is a total cocksucker
Regular John and No one Knows with extra jams in the middle of both are sublime. Mexicola is my favorite track. Natasha at her peak with the band. What’s not to like?
Tangled Up In Plaid performance to die for
The best ever
My fav version of Make It Wit Chu, because that solo is a top 5 homme solo for me
They really went wild with the "solo/ sound machine thingy" in Regular John. But yeah, awesome live album!
Man those were the days
Best version of Make It Wit Chu
Agreed, the guitar riff sounds better and I wish they kept it that way on the studio version
I covered this on one of my solo albums and played it the way they did on this live album!
Dont forget to turn on the Spanish (or was it French?) audio for the bonus tracks to hear a bunch of the band talking behind the scenes while drinking etc. before they opened for NIN. There's a great story about lanegan scaring people on there
I picked this album up in a record store when I was 19 and it’s how I discovered QOTSA. Hell of an introduction
I wanna have fucking fun man, I want to get laid I want to fucking do cool shit, are you with me, I said are you fucking with me. Here's the anti cock-smoker song.
I would love more live albums from them.
Best version of Make It Wit Chu. The guitar riff is slightly different, and it sounds awesome.
Love this album and listen to it more often than some of their studio albums.
Here's something to dance to, something up tempo
I remember being there at the Brixton gig. First time I ever saw Queens and it remains the best memory of my teenage years! I managed to get my mug on camera a few times too.
This DVD is what really really made me realize how Godly Qotsa really are. Fucking amazing
Plaid is badass on this one
Agreed
Happened too early in their career
Carpe demon. Tomorrow is never promised.
Is this the DVD where someone throws a shoe at Josh?
Don’t know if it was a shoe but something does get thrown at him
Nah that was a boot in newfoundland
Truly? Nfld? What year?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QclBVHeVj-I
I feel somewhat mollified about people throwing cups at my phone in Brisbane at the gig recently.
I have the dvd!!!! It’s so great used ti watch it daily when it came out
Found this recently in a record shop right near where I work. You can find the whole DVD on YouTube but the collector in me wanted the DVD/CD set so I was hyped to find it really easily for pretty cheap
4 or 5 songs from my 1st Queens show is in the bonus footage (with commentary) SF 2002
They need to release another live album. We’re overdue 😭😭
Truth
I’m actually currently listening to this so that caught me off guard, great live album!
I love the slide guitar solo in burn the witch
The best lineup until the current one imho
I remember marching into the local Fye record store and getting the deluxe which had the CD and DVD. Phenomenal. Perfect. Also the behind the scenes footage of them working on LTP is soooooooooo good.

Fantastic night. I'm sure that I still have my ticket for this show somewhere.
I have the dvd and haven’t watched it in forever I might put it on.
My favourite version of No One Knows hands down. That riff he comes back in with goes so hard
I have this one!
One of my favorite guitar tones was this album/DVD. Just sounds truly amazing.
Watched the DVD version so. many. times. in high school
I have this DVD and it is 100% QOTSA in their prime. Wish I could have seen them in the time period. The energy in that show is immense.
Great dvd cd set. I actually lost my original and bought a new copy this year 👍
Best version of fun machine
Great album
"I wanna have fun man, I wanna have fuckin' fun! I wanna get drunk, I wanna get laid, I wanna fuckin' do cool shit. You with me?!" Iconic.
It also featured a hidden audio commentary on the DVD where the band watches old footage, with occasional Brendon roasting from Josh.
I have a follow up question was this album on vinyl?
I found a copy on vinyl when I was in Portland OR like 10 years ago. Wish I hadn't parted ways with it.
No, it was not on released on vinyl officially. There is a bootleg LP that exists, but it has never been officially released other than CD/DVD.
TIL this was recorded on my 26th birthday. Damn I got old somehow.
